Morally Bankrupt

Someone opened a credit card in our name and used the card. No written communication was ever given to us to let us know.
When asking Latitude how someone could rack up a credit card bill without our knowledge for a year they answered "you should of checked the app to see your balence"
Ah yes. The app we didn't have, to monitor the account we didn't open or know about.
The account was eventually closed but 6 months later we are still trying to erase it from our credit history. Latitude have been strangely unhelpful during this process.

Disgraceful customer service experience!

This would have to be the worst customer service experience I have encountered. I was only after a final bank statement after closing my account last year. Had to make 2 phone calls, 1 answered in the Philippines and the other in India. After 1 hour on each I was told that it would be emailed to me...in 24 hours! It will be interesting to see what I get and when I get it!!

One of the worst people on the planet I would say never ever go with them they all out to get your every penny under the sun. So greedy and pathetic service. Just do not care about customers how long they have been just only making as much possible.charges are so high. One of the worst I’ve come across

Signed up with latitude to pay off a…

Signed up with latitude to pay off a phone, and they ended up fast tracking the payment all in one go even though the amount wasn’t in my account. In fact they actually some how managed to charge me 200 dollars extra while saying the account is still negative $100 so still trying to figure out how that works. Anyway thanks for the sh*t service latitude won’t be using your service again and don’t recommend it to other people

Quite possibly the worst customer…

Quite possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I was only applying (successfully) and the ineptitude of the customer service and application process made me rescind my application.

I don’t know what systems they use, but they can’t even open a simple PDF. This to me was the last straw, the poor English speaking skills and the clear ‘speaking from a script’ are also a major red flag.

The 60-month interest-free deal with…

The 60-month interest-free deal with Harvey Norman feels like a trap. Despite paying well above the minimum, Latitude/GEM charged interest and fees and then claimed everything was “correct”.

When I asked for a simple month-by-month breakdown to verify the charges, they actually said they are “not an auditing firm” and refused to provide it. A finance company charging nearly 30% interest but unwilling to explain its own calculations is unacceptable.

Instead of transparency, they offered a so-called “goodwill” solution while avoiding the real issue. Poor systems, misleading promotions, and no accountability. Avoid if you value clarity and fairness.

Don't deal with them.

Car loan was supposed to finish by March 2026 and they have said another around $800 will need to be paid.
Paying loan at the right time but still get charged fees for $40 for late payment.

Unfortunately they are taking your money

Unfortunately, I haven't had a good experience with Latitude Gem Visa. They're trying to find out how to take your money through different ways or even excuses. If you download the app and try to make a payment, they don't let you. Then you call them and they tell you to pay through BPAY, and they are charging or stealing your money. Be careful, guys! Open your eyes. Definitely not recommended at all.

Outrageously bad customer service.

I just spent two and a half hours trying to resolve an extremely simple query; that either I be able to email their service people or that they contact me (for security) by email so that I may resolve an issue with my account.
I MIGHT now be able to progress my issue – the only solution that was able to be offered to me in the end was that I submit a complaint, and then request a reply by email. It took me about two hours to get escalated to a supervisor after repeated requests.
I battled through the preferred interface 2 days ago (online chat - bad for disabled people who have to use dictation software) without remedy, and I want to submit screenshots as well, so email is by far easier and better for me. But it seems that they will do anything to avoid it.

This business is absolutely disgusting…

This business is absolutely disgusting in the way they operate. They are the definition of bottom feeders. Account was fully paid off yet I have been getting monthly fees and overdue fees as well. They have significantly increased their monthly service charge. Once $2.95 is now $10.95. If you need finance do it through a balance transfer as this mob is criminal.

Zero stars. Having a credit card with Latitude was the WORST experience. They falsely advertise on their website so I and applied for a credit card with special offer which was not given - I then tried to rectify with them and got the WORST customer service multiple times. I then put in formal complaint was sent an email and told to call customer service (by the complaints team) the two different teams just kept trying to pass me back to each other. No one cared to look into my query. It was an ABSOLUTE joke and I will never deal with this company again. ASFA should investigate their business practices.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. They have the worst security for a finance company, where I myself only figured out that people pretending to be me had accessed my account (because I was receiving multiple verification codes within an hour, when I was not signing into the app myself). The people posing as me managed to change all my details to theirs, and even created an email with my name to gain access to the account, and was able to do so by calling the company. Had I not raised this issue with Latitude, my account would have been in control by these hackers. This issue has been going on for months and my account has been under investigation multiple times because the company does not know how to do their job in the slightest. Latitude does not care about their customers in the slightest, so save the pain and do not ever sign up with them.

Charging monthly fees on account in credit

I just discovered my card that was paid off and in credit and hasn't been used in a long time has been charged monthly account fees. The card is now in debit due to these fees. I have lodged a complaint and received this response.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your Complaint Form request.

Your Request.... We expect to be with you in 30 business days.

What? So they will continue to debit my account for another 30 days. Crooks!

If I can give -ve star rating I will do it. Worst credit card company in Australia. Can't solve your issue but always adding up extra overdue fines. I have been trying since first week of October to add my bank account with credit card account so that i can pay timely before due date but keep on sending them emails every week nothing done by customer support . Till 29/11 today Just keep on asking ,send us screenshot shot of error. And keep on adding extra $45 as fine . THINK TWICE before applying for LATITUDE CREDIT CARD.

I opened a card and now get spammed called daily

I opened a card and was told I would only get charged 12 dollar account fees per month
Instead I was charged almost 100 dollar account fees

I’ve gotten a third person company to pay for it on my behalf Cause I couldn’t keep up with all the extra fees they never specified

They now call me every half an hour wmd never leave a message
And started using there personal phones to call me after I have told them what’s happening.

The calls have been getting worse over the past couple of months with adding the third party

Changing your payments to suit themselves

When put money in account they make sure they can still make maximum interest by making uour 6 months interest free payment ti reappear after paying it and if you pay your normal account they will pay off the 6 months interest free so you have to pay interest on account you just paid then to top it off make you talk to a computer instead of a human being

Worst trash company i have every used

Worst trash company i have every used. I Dont not recommend this card to anyone. They constantly have issues with security leaks of cards which get cancelled all the time. I had several weeks ago where my card got cancelled due to a possible leak of my number on my cards or security. Requested new cards to be sent out. Tried to activate them but it didnt work and they said they had to send new ones out. Nothing after over a week. They said there was a problem on their side and will look into it. The person handling at the time had no interest in helping and gave since worded responses. ASked her that i needed overnight as i fly out in a few days but she didnt see interested and said she will check tomorrow and cal me back. No calls at all and at midday today i called back for an update and there cards were sent as standard. Escalated and the person said they cant send overnight and will be 3-5 business days. Wanted to make a complaint to them about it and they just said they will add it in the feedback and cant do much more. Absolute trash service and after over 15 years as a customer i will be cancelling my accounts and never returning to them. The service has been going doing hill since and they even charge $8 a month for nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!
