My house sale has been held up by the utter incompetence of Lawcomm who are acting for a purchaser in a short chain. The person at Lawcomm dealing with the case left the company without notice, and for over three weeks, nothing happened. They cannot be contacted by phone, and they do not respond to emails. The person in the chain has visited their offices several times and still has zero progress. We have been forced to put our house back on the market as we have no clue when Lawcomm will do its job. Never use this company. Like others who have posted, I will take this to the ombudsman. Their name should be changed to Law-con with the strapline “We are here to make your life difficult”.

Truly shocking experience.
The service received throughout was absolutely awful. They did a terrible job, costing me time and money.
But now the matter is over, they still owe me money and refuse to return it.

I wanted a leave a review that reflects the service I have received. As much as I haven’t completed the purchase due to lenders. James Clarke has been extremely accommodating, supportive, understanding and patient. And I will be using these again in my future as this is the service you need in this stressful time. James will no doubt look after you and put you at ease. Much appreciated with his hard work

Natalie was excellent at helping me through the process of buying my first property. She was quick to respond to any emails and phone calls, helped me understand the process and made it a quick and enjoyable process.

Wouldn't waste your time or money if your unlucky enough to get pavan I'd just throw in the towel what a waste of time and money

Excellent. Natalie Chan from Lawcomm Solicitors has been very professional throughout the conveyancing process. She is easily reachable, prompt with replies and queries, and made the first property purchase a smooth and stress free experience. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a conveyancing solicitor.

We recently purchased a New Build Shared Ownership house and received excellent service from Saira throughout. With a limited timeframe to move Saira consistently kept us updated on the progress of the sale, made document exchange easy and worked tirelessly to have us completed as soon as possible.

We have worked with Lawcomm solicitors on multiple occasions. This time we had an eviction case. Our solicitor Sam Nolan has been brilliant. He has done a fantastic job of submitting all documents on time and when things got complicated he once again did all the right things and put in the right applications and documents swiftly to get us our desired results. He was always a phone call away and never got tired of our multiple questions. Would highly recommend him. Thank you Sam for all your hard work.

Don’t waste your money!
I agreed to pay a little extra and instruct this solicitor as I was led to believe that using them would help speed up the house purchase process, I believe they have made it worse!
Tried to urgently contact Carolyn Shakespeare for 4 working days, made 73 calls and 2 emails, phone is constantly engaged ( or off hook?) . Use an online solicitor, they are a lot cheaper and at least reply to emails.

I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for how Sanjib handled our case, making the purchase of our forever home seamless and always prioritizing our best interests. My partner and I completed our first house purchase with the assistance of Sanjib Pathak from Lawcomm. From start to finish Sanjib has been excellent and highly communicative and informative. This has been incredibly helpful and reassuring as first time buyers, navigating the process and having each step of the journey explained gave us great confidence to make well informed decisions. If you are considering using Lawcom, don't!!
I am 5 months into a relatively simple house purchase and had nothing but empty promises and a lack of communication. I have had to continuously chase for responses, filed two complaints (one 6 weeks ago), that I have had no acknowledgement of and almost lost my purchase! I am now in the situation where the sale of my property will complete in just over a week and if Lawcom can't get their act together and link in with my selling Solicitor, I will be homeless! Lawcom have had more than ample time to liaise with third parties.
If you need to speak to anyone there, good luck! No one picks up their phones, they go straight to voicemail and no matter what number you call that is displayed on their website, you go through the same recorded message and options that leads you again to the same voicemail. Emails are only answered when you pursue them twice/ three times a day! I have spent numerous hours out of my working day to send email after email after email. Something that I should not have to do when they are the service providers.
The stress and anxiety Lawcom has caused and continues to cause is unacceptable! Save yourself a whole lot of worry and instruct another Conveyancer!

We completed the purchase of our first home today, having been supported by Natalie Chan through the whole process. Natalie was incredibly helpful, responsive, and reassuring during our purchase and was patient and understanding when there were queries we had or documents to provide. The process was made far less intimidating through having someone so lovely and thorough to help! She has been fantastic and we are so grateful for all her time.

I had the pleasure of working with Josh Smith who made us feel very well supported and comfortable throughout our moving process. He was badgered by myself about little things and he took it in his stride and was very professional all the way through.
