Poor Service
I ordered an expensive camera from The Strand shop and paid extra for Saturday delivery as I wouldn't be in for the rest of the week. On the Saturday I waited in all day and it didn't arrive.
After numerous telephone calls I was refunded for the camera amount but not the extra I paid for Saturday delivery.
After emailing and not receiving a reply I have just called and been told that this is between me and DPD and nothing to do with them!!! What happened to customer service??
Definitely do not recommend. I ended up going with WEX and the order arrived promptly as arranged. Don't waste your time.

We can confirm that the camera was refunded promptly once it was returned. However, the £5 Saturday delivery charge was arranged directly with DPD after your order had already been dispatched, and therefore was not processed through our system. If the £5 Saturday delivery had been selected and paid at the time of purchase, we would have been able to both prioritise Saturday delivery and issue a refund for this charge if the goods had not arrived as expected.
As a gesture of goodwill, we’d be happy to apply a £5 discount towards any future purchase with us.

I purchased Polaroid film while I was in the states prior to traveling to London. LCE was very accommodating in holding the film for me until I arrived in London. They made everything very easy and were very communicative.

A great experience as always!
Although it's definitely not the first time I've bought used equipment from LCE, it's the first time I've purchased from The Strand. But like always, the descriptions are accurate, the equipment is always good quality, and the people there are great to deal with.

Excellent service regarding selecting ordering and delivery of new camera as well part exchange on my old one. Good competitive prices on both and quick delivery as will as daily emails keeping me informed on the progress. The Strand branch we also very good and helpful. I certainly recommend them and use in the future.

Great customer service
Great customer service, i phoned requesting a certain camera to be advised they were on long term delay due to unforeseen circumstances and that the product only comes in only very occassionally. Later that day the same person from the london branch returned my cal to say they had had a delivery and they were showing in stock and he got this arranged for delivery next day. Thank you!

As ever the advice and patience shown by LCE was very helpful in enabling me to buy a camera and lens suitable for low light images. Securing on line was very easy and the camera was held for me in the shop ( in the end for several weeks) until I could arrive and choose a lens.
