REPORT THEM TO THE OMBUDSMAN AND BOARD…

REPORT THEM TO THE OMBUDSMAN AND BOARD OF EDUCATION!!! They are a big scam!! Using recruiters on Facebook. This needs to be reported to the educational ombudsman and educational department. I cancelled shortly after signing up because it was too dodgy. I emailed them it wouldn’t work for me and that I decided to cancel the registration process. Months later I receive emails from a tutor asking if all is ok. I emailed her and the original person at Learningcurve back to show them my email of cancellation. Receive a reply I have to pay £125!!!! NO I DONT NEED TO PAY!!!!

Excellent courses very useful

I’ve completed three courses with Learning Curve Group since April, and they were all great, and my Level Two certificates received promptly. Text messages and emails to say when work is received and marked. The tutors have been very easy to communicate with and the courses were very useful for work. I don’t understand the reports saying they are a scam. You need to log in and do the units given, and hand them in on time, and if you can’t do it or need a deadline extension you can ring them and they will help you. Unless there’s another company doing bad things under the same name? I used Learning Curve Group UK.

How do I cancel the course?

How do I cancel the course?! Its terrible, keeps deleting all my work and they say they'll take a £125 fee but they can't if they don't have my bank details surely? So can I just ignore them?

SCAM

SCAM

I enrolled and started a course on mental health as I struggle with it myself so thought it would be good to try and understand my own condition better.

On the first day it was working fine and I saved to continue later.

Logged back in today and find my courses have disappeared completely and no notification or correspondence as to why/

Also signed something and provided documents so I'm now worried that they are going to try and take £125 from me as its clearly impossible to complete the course if its not there! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Do not use this company there are many…

Do not use this company there are many honest ones out there. Finished the very mediocre course over 3 months ago & still no certificate. I'm in the process of finding out who their funders are and contacting them. Because they're dealing with very dishonest and a very unorganised company. My experience with them is they do everything in an offhand cursory way. Then if you contact them with any issues, you get no redress. Fobbed off and no communication. I want my certificate after putting up with their crap.

Do not sign up with this company. Absolutely a scam to back you into a corner to pay £125. I'm guessing they are commission based as the guy was very pushy and I should not have been eligible but he insisted I was. Now being told I need to pay the full fee.

Just Awful- So Upsetting and Stressful.

As so many on here have already said STAY WELL AWAY! This is the strangest and most dodgy organisation I've ever had dealings with. I'm so cross with myself for having been drawn into what is clearly such a scam.
The first few weeks after my sales call, they started chasing me for my assessments. I confirmed that I hadn't received any login details.
They sent them through but they wouldn't work.
At this point I'm thinking, that none of it seems legitimate and that I'll just stay away.
A few weeks go by and I receive an email from a lady called Alison who threatens me with a £125 withdrawl fee for not completing anything.
I advise her that nothing worked, and that it all looks like a scam and I'm not interested.
I also confirm that I've not signed a contract.
She says its 3 easy work books, quick and straight forward, and much better than paying a fee.
So she resets my password and reluctantly I agree to give it a go (why?!)
So I log on and it says that all parts of my course are completed and there are no more tasks.
Hoorah- i take screenshots of esch complete course element, just incase.
Low and behold today I get a call from them saying I haven't started and reminding me of the fee.
I confirm that all parts on my profile are showing as complete online.
She says ok then.
I ask her to confirm via email that the matter is closed. She agrees.
I get no such email.
I log on this evening and the sneaky woman has reset everything and it now looks like I have enrolled, but done nothing.
I have written a full complaint, included the screenshots from before everything was reset, and requested that the matter be closed immediately.
Wish me luck, I suspect this isn't over.
Please take my advise though, and stay WELL CLEAR.

Dreadful!

Learning curve UK also called learning curve group. Dreadful! Their courses are completely pointless really. You are simply expected to regurgitate the information in the work-book. The real problem is the huge disparity between the competence of the so-called ‘tutors’. I have done 3 courses, so I do know what I am talking about. 2 Tutors were reasonable, even complimentary. The 3rd tutor would not accept any answer I gave as good enough. She basically was not satisfied unless every detail from the relevant page in the workbook was included in each answer. But when I ultimately did what she wanted, she accused my of copying from the work-book - but that was what she was, in effect, asking me to do! I got the distinct impression I knew more about the subjects I was taking that she did, and certainly had a better command of written English. I was taking this course for CPD points. The whole experience quickly became antagonistic, poorly handled by customer service and unlimited of little actual value as a learning experience or qualification. Therefore, very stressful for anyone with anything more productive to do with their time! Would definitely not recommend and really wish I had never got involved.

Terribly stressful experience

Terribly stressful experience. I believe this company to be also called 'Learning curve Group' to get rid of the reviews on here.
The one star was a requirement to write this review.
It is not even worth that. Everything has offended me, from the delays and the fact that not even management has bothered to reply to anything I complained about.
It is obvious that this is a scam set up with
unreasonable delays and feedback. They claimed
to be endorsed by the government and education department which I will follow up with. They obviously want students that sign up with them to fail or get upset and drop out so they can grab £125 from you as they threatened to do if you don't complete the course. Of course they demoralised me and caused me too much stress to continue although I completed my 2nd assessment just to get it back after chasing asked to correct parts for no good reason. The whole training centre is a scam and I dropped out because of there completely unprofessional set up with a website that could have been set up by a child again to cause delays, completely difficult to navigate and add to my
anxiety which is why I am on benefit and signed off from work because of my condition that comes with treatment of this kind. I was also asked to sign a contract which would have put me in a vague financial situation and I didn't. Now they have just added to their bad reviews and I will find the way to report them to the education department etc! Wasted my time completely. It was the worst training experience I ever had in my life and I have three degrees up to MA plus many other ones. I don't need this useless piece of paper which now I have come to believe it is. Don't make this mistake! They bombard you at the beginning to get you signed up and then you will have to chase up all the time as they also only give you a couple of days to complete or re do your assessment and then you have to chase them to get the results back.

I enrolled on a Mental Well-being…

I enrolled on a Mental Well-being course because I’m a teacher and thought it would help at work. After several calls and emails from one of their advisors asking if I needed help to complete the sign in process (quite a lot of pressure really...commission based?), I sent documents and signed a declaration missing the part where it says you will incur a £125 fee if you fail to complete your course (but you will be supported to complete it so they say). I felt I didn’t have the time and didn’t want to feel boxed in so asked to withdraw at which point they tried to tell me that I would have to pay the £125 to withdraw. Any contract has a cooling off period. Usually 14 days. I spoke to Lewis and insisted that they withdraw me and told them I would not be paying any fee. I had not even completed the induction (which was where I was alerted to the £125 fee.) There are a lot of negative comments on Trustpilot and can’t understand why a 4.5 star review is the first one that comes up when searching the Learning Curve Group. Once again, I am reminded that there is no such thing as a free lunch! Lewis argued that the course is fully funded, that nowhere does it say that the course is free...the first link on Google has the Learning Curve Group website which says that it is offering free 3 to 9 week courses.

Customer service leaves everything to be desired

This company came onto my personal Facebook to advertise a free level 3 course for those who don't already hold a level 3 qualification. I don't, which is why I went to the trouble of applying in the first place, provided all the details in the application. I'm enrolled then a week before the deadline date and after not receiving anything more than an email and a patronising document about "command verbs", I'm sent an email to inform me I've been dropped from my course because apparently I already hold a level 3 certificate. I don't and I can prove it. I haven't completed a level 3 course and don't hold any type of level 3 certificate.

I don't want to even give them one star but you have to tick something. Reading these reviews now has me worried as I have spent 12 weeks doing a cache level 2 course and they haven't received my 2nd assignment and after reading these reviews I am starting to worry if they are legit. I tried to call them today and gave up after being on hold for 10 minutes. The person I normally liaise with is ignoring me

Beware this appears to be an absolute scam!

I had clicked on a link to find out more about their courses, a lady rang me, talked me through things, sounded very helpful. However, I then registered on the website, which now I look deeper into it, it looks less than legit, was promised a call back from the lady I spoke to this morning, this call was late, so I started digging.......cannot access any kind of induction when following links, and now, reading all the negative reviews, I am definitely not continuing! The lady finally rang me and got quite agitated when I refused to send her any screen shots of official stuff! Keep well away!

Same issues with me

Same issues with me, I am afraid :(
It looks like all the 5star reviews are rather fake ones, as it doesn't make sense from my side...
I enrolled for one specific course and it came up with something completely different and generic, which I haven't applied for.
Now they keep calling me and telling me they need to see my wage slip in order to fund the fees.
No answer over the phone, and communication by email is very confusing.
I am not happy for them to have my details as it seems very sneaky...
Moreover, I suggest the Trustpilot should check how legitimate this company, if it all!
Would be grateful if you could keep us updated on the outcome.

I have recently completed a online course with LCG. I found it very straight forward and easy to access, I had an email and text from my tutor which was great to know they were at hand. I submitted my work which was marked within a week and supportive feedback given. Can’t wait to do another! Thanks

Why are there 1 stars reviews?

I have just completed my first online course with LCG and had it graded! My tutor was nothing but helpful and gave great feedback and guidance. God bless the customer service team who granted me a few extensions due to working more hours, they were so friendly and always helped me as much as possible. I am certainly looking to do another course soon, the course workbooks given are very informative and give you everything you need to pass. Thank you LCG for your help.

Great course and provider

I have just completed the Adverse Childhood Experiences course. I found enrolment simple, the course was available once I had completed the maths and English assessments and the workbook was ideal as a starting point which I used alongside further research on the topic and experience from my own job. I would highly recommend this course and provider. Course was marked within 3 days of submitting it and feedback was constructive and positive. I intend signing up for another course.

Stay clear.

Save yourself some time and effort..dont bother.
Poor system with very basic learning materials (A sparse electronic handbook!) which require no more than repeating in the answer boxes. These systems are also very difficult if you have any learning need, such as myself with dyslexia. I have had One email from a tutor, who advised me to speak to customer services when ever I had a course material or course related query. Now I am receiving sarcastic and threatening emails from 'customer services' on a Saturday night advising me I have to pay £125 to cancel this course as 'They have done so much at this point for free'. Absolute shambles from start to finish.
I had emails chasing me for enrollment information after uploading this and confirming the information on 3 occasions.
I have zero confidence in this organisation from an educational or organisational perspective or indeed from a customer care point of view. You want the £125? Take me to court and stop your so called 'Customer service' team sending me emails late on a Saturday night.
And it would seem by the amount of similar reviews, this is a common issue.
