Scam - gathers personal data, harasses users for money

I enrolled after a friend with good intentions sent me a link to sign up with this learningcurve organisation purportedly government run and "free". Neither my friend or I not realised it was a scam. I was provided with zero educational material relating to the subject I signed up to. Instead sent a link to a time wasting "induction" with instructions about obvious things such as screen buttons. A so called "test" was also sent that does not function properly, and this is followed with threats that non completion incurs a 125 penalty fee. My experience makes me doubt Learningcurve is a bonafide EU/government funded education provider. It needs urgent investigation. This must be a scam that should be exposed. Students are enrolled, passports scanned, starts demanding a penalty fee of £125. I hope this scam will be discovered and closed down soon. I also hope the potential data protection infringement will be scrutinised.

Avoid.

Registered and started the work. Then a week or so later I was told there was an issue with the enrolment and it must be resolved within 10 days or I will be charged 120 pounds. I called the next day and emailed - no response.

So I'm just ignoring it. Avoid.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam - they try to claim that if you withdraw at any point they can charge you £125! They say you must have a 'valid reason' but give no criteria as to what a valid reason is.
This charge is not enforcable, do not pay it!

Please note that without contact

Please note that without contact, your incomplete enrolment will be seen as a cancellation and you will be withdrawn from the course after 10 working days of receipt of this message. You therefore could incur a cancellation cost of £125.

From their email. Absolutely robber. I already talked to citizen advice to complain

I joined this early August

I joined this early August, very disappointed and the service is not good, explained to my supposed tutor that I had been sent a text to say welcome and that my first assignment was due the following day, he responded saying he couldn't help me. Like other reviews the site is not fit for purpose. I too wonder if this is a con to allow them to charge the £125 fee....AVOID

Induction Checklist

I have been trying to complete the induction checklist, and for some reason I cannot, my percentage keeps going up and down but I cant get to 75% I have tried over 50 times now. Can anyone help? Because if I have to withdraw I will and I will not be paying the £125 fee.

Shambolic

Registered, completed the Induction and tests to get onto the course I wanted. Site not working properly and no courses available on their hub. Ridiculous, especially as they are supposedly funded in part by The Department for Education. Now means I can't finish my course in 3 weeks and I just dare you to try and charge me £125.00 for not completing it in time.

As with Emily below

As with Emily below. The site isn't functioning and this has caused me delays. They have admitted and apologised for the issues and I have suggested i withdraw as the site is not fit for purpose. They also want me to pay the £125 fee. It's not my fault the site is useless and team are incompetent. I planned to have this completed by now. Ridiculous set up.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. After completing half my course, they wrote and told me there's no funding and stop my course immediately. Then wrote back a couple months later saying there funding again. Ripped rug from under my feet. Avoid using them.

Great home study courses and expert tutor support

I've just finished a course at Learning Curve and really enjoyed it. The tutor was lovely, very helpful and always quick to reply to queries. The study material was of a good quality and easy to follow. Highly recommended!
