I recently purchased a car from Leightoncarsales and, overall, had a positive experience. Matt was incredibly helpful, offering valuable recommendations and demonstrating impressive knowledge about the cars. Even when there was a mix-up with our car choice, Drew was understanding and processed a full refund of our deposit promptly. The staff, especially Matthew, are friendly and supportive, making it a good place for first-time car buyers. The selection of cars is decent, though there were some unforeseen issues with my purchase. Despite this, the level of customer service was commendable, and I'd consider returning in the future.

Wish I could give 0, cannot even begin to explain why- Dreadful, dreadful con artists. Bad experience with them, in 2023.
And for anyone who has recently bought a vehicle from this company, just to know, they have 'packed' up. Have seen today on facebook, that a customer had wrote, that she has had her car there, as had an issue with it, and for past 2 days has been calling for an update, but there has been no one answering. She has now gone to Leighton, and found that the place has been 'cleared out'. Everyone & everything has gone!!! Checkout the facebook page- 'Crime Wirral'.

Writing another review about this company, various issues with my car in first review which I can't adjust now.
I purchased an "extended" AA warranty through Leighton, £199 for 1 year, £300 for two. Paid £300 to Leighton and my actual AA warranty is only for 1!! Being told by underwriters that I need to speak with garage who sold it to me, but understand they've gone into administration?!! So on top of all the issues with the car, now many conversations to sort this mess out too! Oh joy. Maybe "administration" is the best thing and saves others from struggling with this garage.

It's a shame you can't give zero stars bought a car 2 years ago had nothing but problems from the first week ,no longer have the car and lost a lot of money on it .DO NOT USE THEM

Genuinely baffled by the 5* reviews - this is without doubt the worst experience I have ever had. Purchased a grey 62 plate BMW X1 for my husband in April this year, very long story short but broke down 15 minutes after collecting car on way home and so began a catalogue of faults resulting in us returning the vehicle as it had serious engine fault - using too much oil at a ridiculous rate. After care non existent, owner never available in person, wouldn’t speak to me over the phone or reply to emails. I believe the car has since been sold on to another customer! I can genuinely say this is the worst experience I have ever had. Avoid at all costs, 1* is being generous

I bought a car on line from this company and they asked me to pay in full before delivery which I did. they put off the delivery twice and I noticed that the car does not have a valid MOT. I have asked for a refund as it has been a month now and I have no car and no money and they are ignoring my calls letters and emails. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY OR PART |WITH ANY MONEY. This has been a dreadful experience and I am still being ignored and they still have my money!!!!

Awful, my mum bought a car from here and the car hasn't been delivered we can't get hold of them at all and they have thousands of pounds worth of her money!

Do not use this company! I wish I had received all the warnings I have had in the last week before I had anything to do with them! Nothing but problems from buying the car, very quick to get the car off their forecourt but not as quick to get problems resolved. The car has been in and out of the garage, sent to specialists, and still no repairs have taken place. The courtesy car provided was a death trap and not fit for purpose. Absolute cowboys. So disappointed. Avoid at all costs.

Bought a car from this place and after a week i had to take it back to be fixed. The work took a lot longer than i was advised, they blamed it on the dealership not having the parts in etc etc. I was given a courtesy car that was a total waste of space and didnt feel safe in it at all. So fast to take your money off your but ignore your calls when you need them. I would seriously avoid this place at all costs.

Exactly what I was hoping for, no surprises! Thanks everyone for your help. Matt was very helpful and knew what he was talking about. Hopefully I won't be back soon 😅, but If needs must, I will definitely choose Leighton cars again. Thanks again.

Drew dealt with my purchase, he was great. He helped me with any concerns I had and even deliverd the car to my home. Would recommend. I have purchased cars from them previously.

Bought a car from here in December and have to basically rebuild the car have had the drop links done shock absorbers top mounts catalix convert clutch gear box would not trust buying a car from here again

Would recommend for anyone buying a first time car, had no idea of anything when I went in worried i wouldn’t be able to find anything with no knowledge of cars however Matthew was absolutely amazing and helped with everything I needed, really good selection of cars as well and overall great experience

Had a wonderful experience buying a car here after coming in with a few difficult requirements and was taken back by the support and time I got from Matt. It was really great to have someone listen and make so many recommendations about my purchase. He was able to narrow down my decision and I was surprised with all the details he knew about the cars. Will definitely come back in the future

Bought a car of Matthew, lovely chap and very helpful

We went to check out one car and ended up putting a deposit on a totally different car! We had a sleepless night after realising we'd made a terrible mistake as the car was not what we wanted. However, we spoke to DREW the next day who was very understanding and gave us a full refund on our deposit for which we are very grateful. Great sales person, very knowledgeable and pleasant.

SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN!! Avoid at all costs! It doesn’t even warrant the 1 star I have to give it. What a terrible ordeal we have and still are experiencing after buying a vehicle from Leighton car sales. Bought what seemed to be a lovely car from here, only to find it’s a disaster with fault after fault. Had the car 10 weeks now, it’s been in the garage 6 times and is still faulty. Found Matt to be extremely rude, and a complete liar, one lie after another never getting the vehicle sorted, told it was serviced, it wasn’t, told it had things fixed from advisories, it hadn’t and the story goes on! Finally after numerous attempts at resolution I rejected the vehicle and requested a refund, surprise surprise no refund, which given the circumstances from the offset, I am legally entitled to. Won’t give out complaints policy or refund policy, just ignore those requests, can never get to speak to a manager, according to Matt “we can do what we like with no recourse” One of the members of staff Wayne is lovely, and I have to say has tried to be helpful to me, but is ultimately led by this invisible manager who doesn’t manage at all from what i have seen. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE. I am £9850 out of pocket and having to pay solicitors now to pursue a legal court case on my behalf.

Amazing service from Matt everything was smooth and no issues. Sorted everything out for me before handing the keys over.

Would deffo recommend!
