Living Heat Thermostat. Poorly designed with terrible instructions
I bought a Living Heat thermostat for underfloor heating. The Thermostat came with laughably poor instructions written poorly in English, obviously without being checked by an English speaking person. There were NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS & the only fixings supplied were 2 bolts. How you’re meant to fix the unit to the wall with 2 bolts (not screws) is beyond me. The unit itself is badly designed, coming in 2 parts, permanently attached together by wiring. To fix the backing plate to the wall you have to somehow hold both parts of the unit in 1 hand whilst trying to keep them separated (so you can access the fixing holes on the backing plate) whilst screwing the unit to the wall with the other hand.

In fairness to your constructive review, i agree the instructions could be more helpful in terms of how the thermostat should be fitted to the back box in the wall. We have requested that this instructions be reviewed by the manufacturer to help further customers.
We offer free 24/7 online help and free landline number to call if you need any help at any time.
In honesty, all thermostats should be disconnected/disassembled to connect/screw to the back box in the wall.
Although screws are supplied with all our stats, the screws may not be suitable and specific screws are usually supplied with most UK back boxes anyway.
The reason i tried to call is that your description on how you are installing on to the wall does not sound correct. I would like to help resolve this issue for you.

Damaged thermostat delivered. Had to re schedule another visit for the electrician to install. Contacted Livingheat. They said it got damaged in transit and that they would resend another one. Won't cover the £30 charged for the 2nd visit. Totally unacceptable. This wouldn't have happened if it was fully working as you would expect for a brand new product. Hide behind terms and conditions. Not customer focused. Avoid!
