Bought my daughter a book bag for her…

Bought my daughter a book bag for her kindergarten year thinking it’d last her all of elementary school… nope, one month in first grade now (alittle over a year) and BOTH zippers broke. The extra money spent on the monogram is maybe an inch big. Will not be purchasing a bag there ever again.

LLBean does not back their products

LLbean does not back their products. I bought a garment that clearly had a quality problem, and they made up a story that the garment was cut with a knife and wouldn't warrant the product. Two people in my family stopped doing business with LLBean over this issue. Buyer Beware!!

LL Bean Canada has been FABULOUS - BUT....

LL Bean Canada has been FABULOUS to deal with. But their product in hiking boots has been peculiar. First, they fit my very narrow feet, albeit with three pairs of socks, because they have a narrow heel and midfoot. But the Elevation Women's Hiking Boot literally disintegrated in less than a year. Guarantee was honoured and because fit is difficult for me not only did I buy another pair but I bought a pair of Women's Mountan Classic boots as well. They also pleased me so I ordered another pair, which turned out to be too small, though marked the same size. NOte, I had to go down a half size in both these pairs of boots. Returned them, tried again, third pair of Mountain Classic fit. BUT they are not the least bit water resistant, damp grass and my feet are wet. AND the so called "grippy, durable VertiGrip rubber outsole provides reliable traction on multiple surfaces" soles are a farce. They are very slippery, not grippy at all. In fact walking on this Fall's leaf covered trails is like ice skating and they are very bad on hills covered with leaves. Very, I've never had soles this bad before, never. They fit my narrow feet though, a rarity for my 5A 8A feet.

Poor service

Ordered 4 items from LL Bean, all the same size. Three fit perfectly, however, one would fit a giant, far from the perfect size.

Tried to return it to the store, but since was bought through the mail, store will not accept return. Must pay a $6.50 fee to return. Not buying anymore through LL Bean, not customer friendly.

Return Policy Out of Step With E-Commerce

I will never buy from LL Bean again! Purchased two flannel shirts at a much higher price than I normally would, but I wanted quality. Shirts arrived and not only was the quality lacking but they were too big on me. To my surprise, I had to pay $6.50 to return them. Okay, that’s their policy and perhaps I should have known but I didn’t. Charging for returns is out of step with on-line commerce and going forward I will shop elsewhere.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Needed to exchange two items for a different size that I bought using some coupons. I was told coupons are a once a done. She says she would honor the coupons but gave me attitude about doing so. She ended up re ringing the exchange with an additional 7 dollars. And acted like she did me a huge favor. When she told me about the coupons I said ok. She says what was that. I said all I said was ok. Rude rude. I have bought a ton at this location but not anymore. they dont deserve my money

Missing items

I received my order 10/14/2024. It had 2 pair of M pants I didn't order (I wear XL) & was missing 2 pair of socks I had ordered, Called & the rep said replacements were on the way. She called me back to let me know they had noticed the error on their end & was already in process - socks should arrive 10/16. Nothing came 10/16, so reached out via chat. The 1st rep kept insisting there was a picture of the delivery, so I was out of luck. Finally she found the previous notes & attempted to fix it, but only was replacing 1 pair, not 2. A 2nd chat rep was flailing through fixing that, when someone called from LL Bean because I had given very negative survey responses. That person finally said both replacements are coming. This was beyond awful. I was a good & loyal customer, I deserved better. They don't care about their customers, so I won't be considering them anymore.

Customer service is so poor that I…

Customer service is so poor that I figured I wouldn’t buy from this brand anymore. The reviews about quality being poor confirm that I won’t be buying from them anymore. I ordered pajamas and a robe for a cancer patient and wanted to confirm the address was correct on there end (which it was). The conversation with customer service was so poor. Before I can say anything the lady goes “if you put the wrong address there’s nothing we can do about it” without even checking. She was talking over me the whole time. Another good brand down the drain. I’ll make sure everyone I know no longer buys this brand as well.

Men’s trail model 4 hikers

Men’s trail model 4 hikers: I bought these as a replacement to a pair. I purchased about eight years ago. I wanted a different color. Super DISAPPOINTED !! Not even close to the same craftsmanship, they feel like a piece of junk compared to my old ones.. I’ve noticed these issues over my past four or five purchases from L.L. Bean.. Not what you would expect for these prices! It’s no wonder they change their warranty/guarantee to one year!

LL Bean has become greedy!

We have been LL Bean customers for many years because of the high quality of their merchandise. It wasn't inexpensive; but, we never paid shipping and, if the item wasn't to our liking, we could return it, free of charge, with the provided shipping label.
We ordered an item and were refused the free shipping because the total came in at .01 below the free shipping allowance. We decided to return the item and had to pay for the return. They try to get you to take their charge card and if you don't, you pay. It cost us $12 between shipping and return and we have nothing to show for it.

XL shirts are much bigger than XL at L.L.Bean.

I am a perfect XL shirt, jacket, T-shirt and raingear. And while that is true for most items at L.L.Bean, that is not true for their shirts! The XL shirts are designed for pregnant men! They are huge. Appropriate for men with huge bellies! I attempted to leave this review with L.L.Bean, but it was pulled before it could be posted. Amazon does that too for bad reviews. Only here can you get the truth!

Maine Warden Pack

Excellent pack all around. Build quality, materials used and the assortment of pockets as well as where they are placed. I tend to have a preference for packs that have some type of way to hang wet clothing from it if it rains and this has that feature and it’s not some cheap netting that will rip or snag. Overall couldn’t be happier and it’s the quality, durability and reliability you come to expect from LL Bean.

Men's L.L.Bean Allagash Cargo Shorts…

Men's L.L.Bean Allagash Cargo Shorts have a pleat on the lower pocket which is at just the right height to catch on cabinet door nobs (pulls). When they catch they rip the pocket. The way it rips, it cannot even be mended. We called their customer service and they said there was nothing they could do and the shorts could not be returned. This is a design flaw.

Great to Garbage

I will not be buying anything from LLBean ever again. Spent $50 for a shirt wore it once
After washing somehow ended with a hole. The hole looks similar to a cigarette burn but from water lol. They went from excellent to garbage. No wonder they didn't warranty anything anymore.

I have ocassionally shopped LLBean for…

I have ocassionally shopped LLBean for years. For decades you got extra features in their clothing...like lined coats, inside pockets and quality that would last for years. Sorry to say, not anymore. More often than not the quality and clothing are par or sub par to discount stores at EXTREMELY inflated pricing!
Why should I pay 4 or 5 times more for an item made in China when it's the same place discount store items are imported from and lesser quality than theirs.

Good sale pricing is non existent. At best maybe 10 to 15% off.
After I use my LLBean bucks I will no longer shop LLBean and will cancel my LLBean MC.
It's very sad they joined the cooperate greed of seriously downsizing quality to maintain a high gross profit.
If you want your company to last, upgrade your Zippers, enlarge your pockets (that will hold our cell phones), put adjustable velcro closures on coats, line your jackets, upgrade your fabrics to stain resistant, use thicker fabric on your bathing suits and line the fronts,work on clothing fit and have woman's clothing look like "attractive" woman's clothing and not size altered from the men's department. Add variety. Every year it's the exact clothes in more muted drab colors.
Get those prices down!!
