London Door Company Reviews 

The door hardware has deteriorated within months and I’m beeing told it’s not covered as part of their long list of guarantees because they used hardware from a 3rd party but won’t tell me who the third party is or respond to any messages. I wish I read all the reviews on google before using them.

I was left with three small snagging issues, having had my very expensive London Door Company door fitted. In addition the fitting leaves the place somewhat in a mess- eg. tiles removed and not put back. Their customer service response is very bad and they kept at that standard for months. I’ve written them so many emails and spoken to various of them over the months. It took them from April to December to sort out even one of the small but annoying issues; another I had had already to sort out myself; the last they have no satisfactory resolution, nor did they seem interested. This latter problem relates to the brass locks which they fit, which scratch and lose finish almost instantly. On one occasion I was told this was (normal) patina- the finish bashed off in one or two days! Meanwhile they wrote constantly for the final sum to be paid, their letters became legalistic and threatening- this even though we were still in correspondence about the snagging issues. They also told me constantly that they had resolved my issues when they had not. (I am fully expecting this response to this review.) Meanwhile and in addition to the actual snagging issues, around the door is still a mess; to be fair they never said they’d leave the place looking good. I did query this and was told The London Door Company workers are carpenters. They fit doors and cannot do beyond this, eg refit a few tiles they have removed in order to fit the door, They are not multiskilled (clearly, not even mildly multiskilled). I also asked constantly for my emails and complaints to be escalated to the CEO and the CEO of Neville Johnson. If this escalation happened, which I doubt, I never got any response from them. I had written in some detail on occasion but they don’t seem to be interested in customer feedback. Their service is a far cry in my experience from Neville Johnson, a company I have used before a few times and found very good indeed. They belong to the same company, was why I chose London Door Company- a big mistake- loads of money for the door, loads of hassle.
Subsequent to this review, the managing director visited me. We had a long, good and frank conversation. He and his senior team are working (from my impression sincerely) to improve the response to snagging issues, and the experience that customers have with the London Door Company

After completing a rear ground floor extension we needed to replace out front door and after getting a few quotes and seeing different catalogues we decided to go with London Door company. Beyond their impecable design and customer service, they offered a financial payment options which was hard to turned down.
We Feld really taken care of when their designed came to us to discuss the different design options and guided us through the process including timeline. This simple gesture of coming to us rather than just a telephone consultation really made all the difference.

London Door Company installed a beautiful bespoke front door in our home. Amanda Johnstone is a wonderful, very professional sales rep. Nothing was too much trouble. The fitters did an excellent job ensuring that both inside and outside the door installation was finished immaculately. Amanda helped with the colour (persuading me to go with a certain colour), positioning of door furniture and wood type as we are south facing. My neighbours have all told me how nice it looks. We are delighted with it and would not hesitate to recommend Amanda and London Door Company for their professional service.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Elegant yet contemporary. The tradespeople who fitted were amazing. From order to installation communication was clear, timely and 6 weeks later I have the most beautiful original door.

The quote: Richard Levis is a credit to the company: he explained everything in a lot of detail, gave us advice and took into account our budget to find something that worked.
The survey: done efficiently. We found that the current lock was not appropriate but LDC were pragmatic in finding a solution.
The installation: everything was done to a high standard by two installers who were professional. The door itself looked great and we have had many compliments.
