The acting was excellent. I would have preferred it if the actors had worn traditional costume.

The cast were amazing. Toby Jones was genuinely sleazy and David Harewood has real presence. Supporting cast were also superb. Stage design was very underwhelming for such an expensive ticket..it looked half finished.

A passionate production, the momentum builds slowly and gradually throughout, the final act is incredible and the four main characters so powerful. Staging and music is superb. A brilliant evening

My granddaughter is studying Othello for A level. When we came out of the Theatre all we could say is’WOW, WOW,WOW. We had no wields it was fantastic. David Harewood and Toby Jones were magnificent, in fact the whole cast were. It was dramatic, had comedy. And amazing scenery. We would love to see it again. Wonderful acting. Thank you.

An exemplary product of British theatre. Excellent casting. Superb interaction between cast members. A tragic Shakespearean play enacted in modern times in a most versatile way. Bravo!! Enjoyed it immensely.

This is an absolutely outstanding production with brilliant actors to a man and woman. Shakespeare would have been pleased.

Disappointing. Have seen many Othello’s over the years and this was by far the worst. Verse speaking and in fact the speaking in its entirety was poor. No obvious romantic relationship between Othelllo and Desdemona and unclear motivation projected by Toby Jones’ Iago. The constant background music didn’t help the clarity of hearing the play text. Very expensive ticket for a disappointing evening.

A new West End take on Othello does not disappoint, but it leaves the viewer wanting. The production is sleek and well-thought-through, with stunning visual and audio effects. All the main characters excel in delivering known but very demanding dialogues. Race and gender are ever-present and, through modern consumers and scenography, are transported to the modern day. Shakespeare is still as relevant as ever. I wish there were a bit more emotional depth in the delivery in some key segments. Nevertheless, four stars!
