Bitts lookalike

The web said you can’t take your own food and drink but had reasonably priced food and drink outlets. This was totally rubbish £6 a can of beer £9 spirit £3 glass of coke and the food was the same £5 for chips etc. families with children and there food and soft drinks not allowed in and they couldn’t afford those prices for 10 hours. Acts not turning up and the VIP area a joke places could not see the stage. Never ever again

Very poor quality bands

Very poor quality bands, food dreadful and drink overpriced. Have previously been to Fakefest events in Carlisle and they were a different class, much better. Lookalike was very disappointing by comparison.

Avoid this festival at all cost.

My family bought VIP tickets for this festival for my birthday as a surprise. Unfortunately it was no where near as good as advertised. The acts that were advertised were not what came on stage. The VIP area was so badly positioned you could hardly see the stage, the VIP area toilets were disgusting and kept running out of water to wash your hands. The VIP bar ran out of drink and so did the other bars. The prices for food and drink were so high it was ridiculous. I felt so sorry for my family who felt they'd been ripped off and extremely disappointed that my birthday present was ruined. Avoid this festival like the plague no matter which venue.

My husband and I went to look a like festival Sunday 21st July, what a rip off £8 for a bag of chips £10 for a single barcardi, we seen the price list and walked out, there was a lady with four children kids very upset she couldn't afford the prices for food so she took her kids to McDonald's when she came back they wouldn't let her and the kids back in absolutely disgusting, there was a lady asking the security men who she could complain to about the rip off prices and they just laughed at her, sickening to see, never ever again will we purchase tickets for this load of rubbish and rip off merchants, apparently if you leave the event you can't get back in,but you don't ever get a refund,be aware of this before ever thinking of buying a ticket,I wouldn't have given any rating at all but wouldn't let me move on so I reluctantly gave one star BE VERY AWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Southport look alike festival june 2024

Southport.Bands were amazing. But to not be able to take your own food in or leave festival to rerurn later an absolute rip off. For a family of 4 to be in there from start at noon to finish at 10pm would potentially cost into hundreds to keep all fed and buy drinks for 10 hours. Wouldn't go again for this reason. Been to family festivals b4 and get a stamp on hand to be able to go in and out and always been able to take own food and non alcoholic drinks in. Beware of this on your tickets. We saw so many people arriving with picnics and they had to leave them at gate. Very poor decision from organisers.

Not family friendly

This is advertised as family friendly, it was not. There was nothing for children to do there, no rides, games, stalls, face painting, no shelter from the sun.
The food was disgustingly overpriced, £15.50 for a burger and chips, when you have to feed a family of 5 is ridiculous. You are not permitted to take in your own food or drink, so you have no choice but to pay these prices, they have you cornered. A small chips (mcdonalds medium sized carton) £5! £6 for a can of redstripe beer (🤮), dark fruit magners or budweiser or a crate of 24 for £130! Vodka and something else was on offer for £7, cans of pop and bottles were available to buy too. Ice cream cones £5 with a flake, and only 1 ice cream van on site, you can imagine the queues! Slush drinks were £4. They had a fried chicken van, chinese, burger and chips, pizza and a donut van on site.
The acts were amazing though, amy w tribute needed more time, she was told to get off stage after 3/4 songs as her set time was up. Towards the end of the evening between the last 3 acts, the break in between was far too long, longer than they had been all day. Toilets, everytime i went were fine, no queues and seemed clean enough. Needed to have more for the children to do, to be classed as family friendly, more shelter should be in place out of the sun, more free available water should have been made available, or sold at a more reasonable price. More leniency should be given regarding food and drink, after all, we are all in hard times at the moment, if i could have taken my own small picnic and drinks i would have been willing to spend more there, but a trip to our local takeaway on the way home was required! My score:
the acts 4/5
Food 1/5 too expensive
Drinks 1/5 very limited choice

Shambles

This event should have been cancelled. We went despite the weather in our waterproofs and wellys ready to have a good time only for pretty much all of the main acts to be cancelled after we waited around in the rain for hours on end. Some of the bands advertised wernt even on the line up for example red hot chilli peppers and Elton john! You couldn't get near the main stage as it was all flooded and fenced off. I baught tickets for my sister in laws birthday and it was an absolute farce. They tried to make out on social media that their event was a great success when actually it was a complete shambles. They could have atleast apologised to everyone that attended but all we got was a copy and paste response and an offer of discount for next years event. I had to go through the bank to get my money back. Wont be attending any of their events again!

Badly managed from entering

Badly managed from entering, we paid VIP walked in, not one single person checked any of our phone tickets, vip wrist band just put on….
No VIP information, no VIP guidance as the VIP area wasn’t open, asked someone at the burger bar and they directed us to where the temp VIP bar was….. it was a little empty….. because it wasn’t signed posted!!!!
Money money money……. That’s what it’s all about in the end…..it was a small festival, poorly organised….they should have cancelled and refunded, don’t take the p

Event given the go-ahead despite the whole area in front of the main stage being flooded and gated off, no VIP area even though we paid extra for that, no acts for 4 hours from initial opening time, only for an act to come out and play 2 songs and the organisers cancelled it, organisers are ignoring all complaints and requests for refunds/tickets for next year! AVOID THESE SCAMMERS

Avoid events from this company

I travelled and took my whole family to this spending £200. We were well prepared for the rain with waterproofs and ponchos. Unfortunately the organisers were not started acts playing not nobody before allowing visitors in (2 hours late) saw 2 songs from Phil Collins and then a Bowie tribute. Following this all there was to do was drink cans of red stripe (£6 a can) and overpriced food. We left around 5pm after being well and truly ripped off. No communication at the event and a full week has now gone by without any resolution. Avoid any future events these guys organise until they manage to do the right thing by anybody that attended last Sunday.

This event should have been cancelled- the weather forecast was horrendous and a months worth of rain fell on the Sunday. But to avoid refunds they went ahead despite the park was flooded and dangerous- no acts played and a DJ played CDs which frankly I could have stayed at home and listened to. Scammers avoiding all forms of communication and have lost a lot of support. Sefton Council take note before handing out the permit next year

Southport festival Disgrace

Southport festival went ahead despite flooding of the park. Delayed by 90 minutes then acts started playing before vast majority could get in owing to awful queuing. 3 acts on advertised line up cancelled then most of the acts such as Beatles, Queen, ABBA and Elton John didn't perform. Awful communication and dangerous conditions all to try prevent having to refund. Deceptive Instagram posts trying to suggest that having a very small capacity tent open which you couldn't get near owing to flooding "kept the show going". Refusing to give refunds forcing people to go through their banks. Had been to previous festival in 2022 and enjoyed apart from the extortionate food and drink prices and fact you couldn't take anything in yourselves. Sadly after 2023 event will never go to a festival arranged by these jokers again
