I have bought two systems for my husband (waiting for the second to be delivered). We are in the UK and despite LordHair boasting about having a UK warehouse, we are yet to receive a UK unit. Both unit have been dispatched from China with inflated dispatch times. Despite their own dispatch email stating "within 5-7 working days" when challenged that after 6 days post order the item had only just left chin, I was advised that this "timeframe doesn't include processing time" which took 5 days on its own.
When it comes to customer service, they have no way to speak verbally to a human, its all WhatsApp chats or online messaging. Both of which are usually Verna. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and can often be rude and unhelpful.
My husbands first system lasted 2 months but after approx 4 weeks started to shed heavily and discolour. Luckily, as a hair stylist himself, he was able to make it last a little longer until we could arrange another system. We have gone for a different system this time so fingers crossed we will have more luck.
I must say however, when fitted correctly and worn well, the systems look very life-like and often people ask to be shown proof its a hair system. My husband is 28 and has had a receding hair-line since his very early 20s and the system has given him a new found confidence and zest for life.
The quality of the hair on the ZyroZen system could do with improving, it goes very wiry and course after a few weeks, and as I stated before, sheds fairly quickly. It also starts to knot and mat together if you aren't careful.
We would love to have the opportunity to trial the maintenance pack to extend the life of the system but alas, this is only available in the U.S. currently.
Overall, we are satisfied but the value for money, customer services and availability of products needs improving.

I’ve been a loyal Lordhair customer since 2022 and have ordered five custom units. My first two were excellent, natural, secure, and well-made. Unfortunately, the quality and professionalism have dropped sharply since then.
Around my third unit, I experienced premature shedding. I informed their representative, Cissie, who acknowledged the concern in February 2025 and said they would “use the strongest knotting method available” to improve durability. I decided to repair that piece myself rather than return it.
Fast forward to my most recent order, one of two new units began shedding severely after only a month of light wear. This wasn’t normal, and the top area is nearly bald. Instead of taking responsibility, the company deflected blame onto my client, delayed responses for over ten days, and finally quoted $250–$350 to “repair” a $540 piece.
After years of loyalty, this dismissive handling and lack of accountability show me Lordhair no longer values their customers or stands behind their workmanship. I will not be ordering again.
Update in response to Lordhair’s comment:
Your reply misrepresents the facts. The units were shipped at the end of May 2025 and not received by my client until mid-June, with wear beginning in July so the system had only been used for one month, not four. I contacted you repeatedly beginning September 16 with photos, yet I received vague deflections about “care methods” and “hair material.”
The so-called complimentary repair was conditional only if your technician decided it was a “quality issue,” otherwise costing $250–$350, more than half the cost of a new unit. That is not a complimentary service.
This same shedding problem was reported to your company in February 2025, and I repaired that earlier unit myself without asking for assistance. My good faith then should have made it clear I wasn’t trying to take advantage of you now.
After three years as a loyal customer, I stand by my review: your handling of this situation has been dismissive and unprofessional.

I've been struggling with an itchy scalp from my allergies for a while, but this upgraded antibacterial version has made a huge difference. It's such a relief that the itching has finally stopped!

I recently had a disappointing experience with Lordhair. I originally wanted to reorder a specific hair system, but since it was unavailable, I was convinced to try a different model. Unfortunately, the product I received was far from what I expected — the quality was poor, it sheds hair quickly, and the color fades noticeably with each wash.
To make matters worse, I later received an unexpected invoice from FedEx for additional shipping fees, despite the fact that shipping was advertised as included at the time of purchase.
While Lordhair may excel in marketing, my experience suggests their service and product quality fall short of the promises. This is not what I expected from a company that claims to prioritize long-term customer

I started wearing hair systems back in 2020 as a 21 year old. From the very start, I've always done the maintenance completely by myself. It's now 2025 and I've never bought a single system from anyone other than Lordhair. I believe that's a testament to how great a service these guys provide.
Looking at my orders, I've went through 13 hair systems since 2020. All 13 were Polyurethane-based hair systems with either a 0.03mm or 0.08mm thickness. Naturally, a 0.03mm system will shed much quicker than a 0.08mm regardless of how well you look after it. However, the 0.03mm systems are much harder to detect than a 0.08mm. For this reason, it's unfair to make comparisons between them since you buy each type for a different purpose.
Out of my 13 hair system purchases, 1 or 2 were exceptional hair systems which lasted a solid 10 or so months. Typically these were the ones which used Remy hair. Generally speaking, I've never actually been disappointed by a single one yet. My last few hair systems have been the 0.03mm Ultra Thin Skin. Lordhair advises that these last 1 or 2 months, whereas I'd typically be able to stretch them to 4 months by regularly brushing the hair system with a Tangleteezer, sleeping on a silk pillowcase, using conditioners with as high a Dimethicone concentration as possible and re-dying the hair when it fades. So I'd say as long as you take care of your Lordhair hair system, it'll take care of you too.
Overall, Lordhair have provided a service which has been life-changing for me. Losing my hair as a teenager was devastating. Without Lordhair, I feel like I would have completely missed out on my prime years. Instead, their products gave me a 2nd chance at seizing my youth and for that, I am forever grateful.

All the stars! The products are affordable, ship quickly, easily accesible, and look amazing. I went with a B65 grey, and it really flatters me for my age.
But the customer service is really where the difference resides. I was a scalp shaver for 20 years, so this was a brand new experience for me. But my agent held my hand, answered my questions, then FOLLOWED UP with me after the purchase. And remains available to me even 2 months later for questions and concerns. Lordhair, you’ve a great ambassador with Tracy. S/he is a gem!

I purchased a hairpiece from Lordhair and what I received from them looked nothing like the photo on the website. I measured carefully, following their instructions, in order get the right fit. It wasn't even close. It was supposed to cover the top of my head. It could have been a full wig as it came down to my ears.
I paid extra to have it cut and styled according to one of their style selections. Again, not even close,
I contacted them and they agree to honor their full refund return policy. I verified that they received the hairpiece back and that it was in the proper condition (new and unused) in order to get the refund. I was told the refund was processed, yet I never got it. I finally had to report the transaction as fraud to my credit card company.

This is one of the lightest, most realistic wig systems I've ever used. I wear it when I'm on vacation and want to look my best!

This was my first full hair system, and while there was a small defect on the hairline when it arrived, they fixed it super quickly. I love how light it feels - almost like I'm not wearing anything at all!

Tracy is an amazing customer service professional. At first, i was very hesitant to order a hair system but after much thought and consideration (and a lot of conversation) we decided the color i needed and the item i needed to help make me feel so much more confident in my purchase. So excited to be getting this hair system. Thank you again Tracy!

Tracy was fantastic. I contacted her with a couple questions. She was very prompt and thorough. After each answer, I had more and more questions. This went on for several days and she never stopped helping with a very positive attitude. I didn't purchase, but not her fault, there was not a viable product to fit my needs and desires.

I have been using Lord hair since 2021 and repeat ordering the same hair system a a few times per year. I have always received, had fitted, taken off every couple of weeks, maintained, refitted so know what I am doing etc.
Lord hair always have my order/customer history and can see I have repeat ordered with them and never once complained.
Upon receiving my latest system (Which again was just a repeat order of the same system I have worn for years), myself and barber immediately noticed there was a much larger excess to be trimmed and the hair line was over an inch further back than normal on the fringe line which was really obvious to everyone how much more forehead I am now showing.
I tried to politely communicate this to Lord hair that this system had not been made to the same standards/dimensions as normal/previous - but they simply told me I needed to cut off excess and didn't take on board what I had tried to explain to them.
Really disappointed that they didn't seem to care after years of ordering with them :(

I have been a customer of Lordhair for nearly eight years. They have the ability to create quality products, however, extremely poor company business policy and model.
Their standard hairpieces are mostly well-made, and I have ordered six of them with mostly no major issues. The quality often lasted longer than their projected timeframes.
However, customised service is not of the same standard. If there is an issue with your order, although they will absolutely offer to help but they will make it inconvenient so customer will back off; you will be challenged on every point and be expected to “accept and move on”. While they are polite throughout, returns/remedial actions are discussed but made almost impossible difficult; overall the customer service experience is not comparable to Western standards.
The quality control for bespoke orders is inconsistent. Common issues include bald patches or less hair density, particularly at the back. They often place more long hair on back top, to cover the back which make the hair look fake and easily noticeable.
1. Although you are billed in GBP, the shipment is from China, and they always choose Fedex, and in last 2-3 years, in the UK, you will be required to pay customs tax. Furthermore, the company under-declares the item’s value for customs purposes. For instance, in my case, a hairpiece worth £380 was declared as $31.51, resulting in a customs tax of only £10, which the customer must pay. If I buy locally from the UK, it may cost £100 more but at least I will get a decent customer service, plus I don't have to be part of Customs fraud.
2. Delivery timelines are also not aligned with Western standards. A “rush” service of 8–9 weeks would almost always mean 10–12 weeks.
I have now ordered 2 customised hairpiece, each costing around £380, both the hairpiece had significantly less hair density, particularly at the back, exposing the lace. I shared the video for both of them and despite accepting it as the manufacturing defect, I was offered $10 in compensation for my next order for issues with order costing over £700; when I refused to accept it, I was offered to send hairpiece back for repair, which I agreed, I was told to pay the return and another shipping cost (to fix what was the accepted manufacturing defect). Anyhow, when I agreed, instead of accepting for return and repair, I was offered additional $50 off on the next order (I get 10% off for being an "Elite member"), but when placing the next order, I was told that the company policy is that I cannot apply 2 discounts, 50$ plus Elite discount, and therefore, no further options were available. I have emailed 5-6 times over last 3 weeks to speak to senior person, but Ci***e does not put through to anyone else, and "this is company's policy" is repeated over and over.
Any decent reputable company would have taken responsibility for the defect and shared the loss with the customer, but presumably their business model relies on minimum profit on each product and hence even reward points cannot be used more than 20% of the value of the order.
Manufacturing issues are not best dealt and absolutely do not expect returns or refund, whatever your position is.
While Lordhair has talent and creates high-quality standard hairpieces, the company needs to revisit its business model. Prioritising profit over customer satisfaction on every item is counterproductive.
Will start looking for another provider.
