Worst customer service ive ever encountered

After ordering a nail kit as a christmas gift, my sister informed me of a missing power lead. I contanct candy coat repeatedly to get this sorted. Finally got to the conclusion that they dont have spare leads and they would send out a whole new lamp which was great! I asked 3 times for it to be delivered to my sisters home adress and not the air b&b it was originally delivered to and at their discretion agreed to do this. Lone behold delivered to cornwall at the air b&b. The whole customer service experience was horrible, whoever was on the other end was rude and lacks any customer service skills, even quoted that "The best of companies has 1 star. A great avenue for angry customers
We send a whole new lamp so you can ask the b and b company to send to your address" will not be using candy coat ever again and my sister is still unable to use her christmas present 2 months on.

Customer service treat you like garbage and will never resolve any problems

Great products, absolutely awful customer service.

Ordered a kit of 7 creme paint pots in the rainbow colour scheme from their website. When the product arrived 3 of the colours were completely different and one was missing, so I only received 6 pots and a bunch of colours I didn't want.

Contacted customer services to ask them to replace these with the colours from the image, to first be asked if my parcel was damaged on arrival, clearly they are trying to let this be an excuse for the missing pot. My parcel wasn't damaged, they just hadn't put 7 in the parcel. I was then told that the colours were picked "at random". Nowhere does it say in the title, image or product description that it is a random shade selection. Why allow customers to pick which colour kit they would like when it is randomly picked? If its random, don't include any images of the colours included in the kit!

Candy coat offer other "random/mystery" products, and on these they simply do not show the colour and state that the colours selected are random. There is also usually a heavy discount on these "mystery" products.

Clearly I am being told that the shades for the creme paint kit are randomly selected as yet another excuse for what I have been sent. I wanted the colours as advertised on the image. Completely false advertising and mis-selling.

Customer services are now ignoring my emails, and do not seem to be offering a solution at all. I will be reporting to trading standards.

Nothing as advertised and being ignored

My mum bought me some Candy Coat products for Christmas that she knew I wanted. Neither of us had ordered from there before. Wish I had read these reviews before asking for them! The gel remover (which turned out to be extremely overpriced pure acetone) arrived about a quarter empty and not as advertised. My mum contacted the customer service team to resolve this and they offered her a £5 credit voucher. Then when I actually opened the polishes, I saw that one of them looked literally nothing like how it looked on the website (we ordered a glitter polish and got a plain teal). I emailed them myself to try and get a full refund as we will not be buying from them again and so have no use for a credit voucher. I have had no response for over a month despite chasing them. Do not give your money to this company unless you fancy a total lucky dip. Non-existent customer service. We still want our money back!!!

Shocked at how standards have slipped

I have been a customer for over 5 years. I only bought from candy coat they have my favourite products especially the hard candy pots. But I’m really getting frustrated with how misguiding the colours are from the photos on the website. I ordered a bright deep pink but the bottle is basically neon orange. I ordered what looks like a brown colour it’s actually lilac.

Their social channels promote the products but never list the colour names properly. It feels like every time I order I don’t get what I wanted it’s so frustrating.

Candy coat seems to have lost their spark and it’s time to look elsewhere for good products. I hate being cheated and lied to. If you can’t get a photo of a colour use photoshop to make it look like what’s in the bottle. It’s not that hard. Now I have 2 more colours I don’t really want.

Also, 48h delivery is absolute lies. Took a full week to get here AND one of the products wasn’t available so they replaced it with something I didn’t want instead of just refunding.

AND they delete all negative comments on social media. They are so fast at it. Honestly what happened to this business?!

Really disappointed

Really disappointed. Started shopping Candy Coat in 2019 they were brilliant, loved the concept & the subscription boxes. Fast forward to 2024, i have placed 5 orders since xmas, i have received one of them which was missing an item, customer services replied to my email quickly saying they would add it to next order. Brilliant except still waiting for these orders. I think my relationship with Candy coat is over sadly there are several other companies which do the same stuff, cheaper & so much quicker. My postie must think i am stalking her, nothing again today, my patiience has now run out. Terrible shame for such a lovely company to go to pot in this way.

AVOID! First time experience

AVOID. I ordered 7th of Jan and the order was supposedly fulfilled by the 10th which was all fine. First red flag they said shipped on the Wednesday but didn’t provide tracking even tho I paid Royal Mail 48 tracked delivery. I emailed asking for this twice and both times the question was completely ignored and replied with some vague sorry you haven’t received your parcel yet that’s it. It’s now a week since then and no sign of the package and I can’t do anything but email since I have no tracking, they said they’ll look into it but haven’t had any further emails. It should’ve arrived within 2-3 days so Monday latest, have a very bad feeling, very scammy and their customer service sucks. There’s plenty of other gel brands don’t buy from this one

Ordered 27th December which will be…

Ordered 27th December which will be three weeks tomorrow and I still have received nothing when I paid for 48hr tracked postage.
I have received x2 emails saying my items have shipped one on the 6th Jan and another on 11th Jan. when I asked for a refund of my postage due to the delay I just got told “The warehouse are working through them.
Please understand orders take slightly longer.
You'll get your parcel in the next few days”
I understand they have been off for Christmas but no notice on the website of this and no compensation of postage or discount code to use next time. I have since been on trust pilot and seen I am not the only one in this situation. If I had known this would take weeks or a chance I will never see my goods I would have ordered elsewhere. I was going to email them again but looking at their responses to everyone else it doesn’t look like I will get my money back with a refund or anything else so I will just have to sit back and see what happens!
Very very disappointed!!

SCAMMERS don't order from them 🤬🤬

In ordered over 2 weeks ago, still waiting for my order to be shipped and nothing. I have communicated with them and they kept telling me social media don't deal with orders and they attached a tracking number to my TikTok order for Royal Mail and it's FAKE. Do not order from this company I should have checked reviews first!!!!!

They LIE to customers about shipping!

Ordered over two weeks ago(with 48hour postage), still no parcel. They sent me an email on the 6th of Jan saying the order had been shipped- with a tracking code that did not work. 12th of Jan I emailed asking for a working code. They then sent an email saying the order was shipped on the 12th of Jan and provided another tracking code that does not work. It is now the 15th and still no parcel, they said my order will be with me in 3 days. Do not trust this at all considering they LIED about shipping my order the first time. Probably won’t be buying from them ever again which is unfortunate because the packaging is cute and i’m sure the products are great as well.

Placed order Boxing Day

Placed order Boxing Day, there was no info on them being closed over Xmas. Got a response beginning of Jan but didn’t receive parcel until the 13th.
Also there is no point in advertising free sweets on the website if you ain’t going to bother sending them.
It’s a shame because I do like their stuff but it seems like a risk now especially spending over £100 with them.

Fraudsters

Fraudsters! Do NOT give them your bank details - they are not held securely.

I used to like their gel polish so signed up for the subscription box a couple of years ago. After a few boxes the quality went down and shipments were often late or even missing so I asked to cancel. Except the next month, I get charged again. So I ask again to cancel... And get charged again! In the end I had to delete my bank details from the website so they wouldn't keep charging me - lo and behold, next month they send me an email telling me that I need to update my card details as they were unable to take payment for the subscription box. I reply and tell them that's the point, and finally I think I'm done with them.

Cut to almost a YEAR later and they start charging me again. How have they still got my account details almost a year after I deleted them? Incredibly suspicious. I have been emailing them for 4 months telling them I don't want their boxes of tat - which I'm not even receiving because I have moved - and I have only had one reply. Whoever wrote the reply clearly hadn't bothered reading my emails because and completely missed the point.
Now having to go through my bank to get my money back but will also be reporting them to the GDPR authority for the data breech.

Disappointed

Ordered on the 27th December. Paid 48hours tracked postage. It’s now 2 weeks later, still no delivery. Despite multiple emails finally got a response to say they’d been away for the Xmas period. Understandable, but put something on the website or social media to say you’re closed and can’t fulfil orders! Not once was it mentioned on the website prior to spending lots of £££ that nothing would be processed. Had an email on Saturday to say it been dispatched….contacted candy coat finally got a response. It’s not actually been processed yet or even sent.

First time ordering

First time ordering, I placed an order Christmas Day and of course I expected a slight delay on shipping over the holidays, however, I had no updates for almost 2 weeks and it is now January 11th and I’ve only just received my order almost 3 weeks later. The package was also damaged on arrival, thankfully all items were in tact. Such a shame as I was so excited for this!

broke my trust, do not support

9am This company has literally broke my trust. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2018 and everything was good in the beginning. I’ve recently ordered during 2023 but during February-May and everything wss fine then too. Until I decided to order again over the Christmas holiday December 28th of last year. Just like everyone before me not being alerted that they was closed for Christmas and new years we wouldn’t have wasted our money and time for our items still not to arrive after 2 weeks. At this point I’m convinced I’ve been scammed and want my money back. And if they’re having financial difficulties they need to close down!! Instead of stealing from others who barely have anything to steal from!! It’s wrong and I hope they know God don’t sleep and they will face karma for this. So if they think they’re winning being evil to customers, it will do a full u turn and lay them flat on their asses!!!!!

6pm - Well after so long and complaints raised!! I am finally receiving my package from them. I’m still disgusted with the lack of communication!

Received my package on the 12th January finally. They gave me sweets I guess to say sorry, when in reality they could’ve given me another polish or a file or something but anyways. The products seemed to be leaking (the prep and wipe solution). They also seem like old stock as the writing is missing from the bottle and the polish bottle is discoloured. Anyways this will be my last time ordering from CandyCoat. I will be supporting Mylee now. Thanks but also no thanks.

Avoid at all costs

My order stated ‘delivered’, it wasn’t. I simply messaged them and asked if they knew where it had been delivered to!? I was instantly met with loads of attitude which went on for 10+ messages. The woman who owns this company is a joke; absolutely vile!
As I was met with such attitude I started looking into them and found all the 1* reviews here; I mentioned to them that they had 77% of 1* reviews to which they provided a link to their website which was full of fake 5* reviews with the caption “for your viewing pleasure” ha.
They also stated they are a “global company” - their accounts info on Companies House doesn’t show that!
Their last message to me was, word for word; “We suggest going to Royal Mail & filing a claim if your parcel is lost and we suggest not shopping with us again.” - then they blocked me from contacting them. No parcel & no way to contact them.
I did some more digging into them and found that they’ve had multiple investigations from the Advertising Standards Agency over the fake reviews on their website; I will be reporting them to the ASA again. I’ll also be reporting to Trading Standards.

I really wanted some hema-free gel…

I really wanted some hema-free gel polishes for myself and came across Candy coat. Really cute website and products. BUT. I ordered on 27th of December and still haven't received my order as of now 9th of January. Ordered next day delivery too. I understand the staff had a holiday break (it was frankly not mentioned on their website at the time of my order btw, I had to search on socials for any notice) so I'm willing to ignore the lack of progress during this time. However, on Saturday I got a shipping e-mail that my order was on the way. Happy news, eh? Except the e-mail didn't even provide a tracking number from DPD, I had to chase them up to get a tracking number and eventually found out that my order HAS NOT actually been dispatched at all. What's the point of this system? I would've loved clear communication all throughout. At this point, I am really unsure whether my order is going to turn up or not, the emails are vague and all about "we'll dispatch asap"... Like what!
The cherry on top is that they also delete negative comments from their socials. I know there are many people in my boat because I saw similar complaints in comments before getting deleted.

I'm willing to give it a few more days then file a complaint with my credit card company. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this has to be the worst online sale experience I have ever witnessed in ageeees. The lack of communication and customer service is honestly a pity bc the brand seems nice overall and I would've loved to actually try their products...
