Rip off admin and postage fees
First they said my item couldn't be found but then said that was a mistake and offered to post it.
However, it's unbelievable that posting a small pen sized item would cost £10 of "admin" fees and another £10 of postage (for the cheapest untracked service!). It was cheaper and faster to buy a new item from Amazon which is somewhat ridiculous.
Within the airport I was quite positive to be told that I could get the item back if I paid the postage and it all seemed very organised. That gave me a lot of confidence. But then a lack of a proper process and the need to email back and forth really took the shine off. Then the mad fees totally ruined it.
Overall, a good demonstration of how to turn a potentially slick process into a disaster.

Outstanding
Outstanding ! Lynn and Sophie In the Glasgow Airport office were amazing .
They helped my daughter be reunited with her bag which consisted of some treasured items which meant so much to her .
She was so upset on the flight home .
I called through to Lynn after we arrived home and she could not be more pleasant and helpful .
Had to remind them 3 weeks after paying to send it
I contacted them on the 18th of December, found my bag and everything, paid on the 20th for it they never sent it and I had to send them a message yesterday on the 7th January to remind the to send them. They finally replied and said they’d send it and when I asked how long would it take got no response. Now I’m left with no bag which had important things in it. Very poor.
Great service from Luggage point at Glasgow Airport
While it took several calls to make contact, once I got through the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I had left my cabin bag on an EasyJet flight on the evening of 28/12. When I first made contact the staff checked but did not have my case. However on the next day Iain phoned me to say my bag had arrived, adding that there was no rush to collect it. I collected the bag on the 2/1. Iain recognised me and gave my bag with the minimum of fuss. My thanks to Iain and the staff for making a potentially frustrating event stress free. Happy New Year!
Mail It On didn't deliver, items gone
Mail It On - everything was going fine, then my items didn't arrive, that was the end of it. Have had many parcels, never had one not arrive, coincidentally it was the first parcel out of hundreds (or over 1,000 even) that didn't have tracking.

Sophie & the other staff @ Glasgow Airport, (this is my 2nd time I needed to deal with them) I left Gla on BA for Lhr on Dec 10th and I left something in the Lomond lounge. Sophie recognized the IPad and knew it was mine. Sophie did what she does exceptionally good Customer Service.
Glasgow is definitely a credit to your company
Attentive service
We received immediate and polite attention. Our bags were quickly stored at Luggage Point Waverley and we were on our way We were similarly helped when we collected them later that day.

Luggage wrapping service
I popped by luggage point intending to wrap my bicycle for my flight. It was unfortunately too big for the machine, but the staff there was so kind and thought about how to do it manually while making sure the parts of my bicycle were safe. He proceeded to wrap my bike and I'm really happy with the results! Really lovely staff!
A Complete Failure of Airport Endorsed Service
I have had an appalling experience involving unprofessional airport security conduct and the complete failure of an officially endorsed third-party service, Mail It On / Luggage Point.
1. Hostile and Unjustified Confiscation
My experience began with an aggressive security operative confiscating two legal stationery items that had previously cleared security at Edinburgh and Heathrow without issue. The operative displayed an agitated and overzealous demeanour toward myself, and more disturbingly, toward a visibly infirm elderly gentleman and his wheelchair bound wife just before me, leaving them shaken and with difficulties navigating departures. I felt intimidated and was forced to comply to avoid a confrontation or a delay.
2. Misleading Service Guarantee
When I asked to mail my legal items home myself, the operative insisted the "Mail It On" (Luggage Point) service was "perfectly safe, reliable, and endorsed by Birmingham Airport." I trusted this official endorsement.
3. Abysmal Service Failure and Loss
The service was a total failure:
No Contact: Despite multiple attempts via the official Mail It On website, I received zero confirmation or response.
Extensive Effort: I had to independently track down the information that Luggage Point run the service, leading to a back-and-forth of over 30 emails just to process a claim.
Item Loss: Luggage Point eventually confirmed my items were lost.
Inadequate Compensation: I lost approximately £120 worth of personal belongings but was offered only £50 compensation, the maximum under their punitive terms.
Birmingham Airport is responsible for the conduct of its security staff and the abysmal performance of the partner service (Luggage Point) it officially endorses. This entire process, from security line to final compensation, was unprofessional, stressful, and resulted in a material financial loss, hours of wasted time, and the disappearance of two sentimental and intrinsically valuable items.
Avoid the 'Mail It On' service and be wary of the aggressive security staff conduct. The airport needs to urgently review this partnership and its internal security training.

LOST FLIGHT BAG
Didn’t realise until we were home had left bag at pick up point b. Sent an email describing lost bag at 11:00pm. Received email at 05;07 next morning from Iain informing us the bag had been found. We collected that morning at both Iain and Sophie were so kind.
Mailiton from airport completely useless
The field where you enter the parcel reference number doesn't work - not on an iphone, not on a PC either. So this site is completely useless and these people have my item and I can't get it.

Danielle was amazing, but the courier service was teribble .
Danielle was amazing, once that I sent a photo of my missing item. Within hours, it was identified . Then she arranged for the item was arranged for a courier to deliver to my home address as i was abroad. Thank you again. Regards Donald.
My only negative feedback . The courier delivered my £600 watch today. Did not ring the security button for access to my elderly mothers secured flat . Just dumped my watch on a wooden seat at the front enterance . The pins are broken on the watch strap . Possibly thrown by the courier as the watch had no bubblewrap protection on to the wooden seat . More costs , damage caused by the courier or thr xray machine . What a poor service either way, by the cowboy courier.
Do not use the Birmingham branch!
It would appear by looking at other reviews, that the Birmingham branch is indeed the worst. Never use this place if you can help it. They literally never answer the phone, and breadcrumb with emails… 1 automated reply then nothing. They have a personal & sentimental item of mine that was taken off me at security, and it would seem that it’s impossible for me to be reunited with it. Simply terrible customer service - and why does no one ever answer the phone!?

if I had it my way I wouldn't even give…
if I had it my way I wouldn't even give it a star now. I've been trying to get my items since October the beginning and I've emailed and rang it actually come out for five times and then a round trip I paid for my parking and I come there and no one's there the shop is closed. What the hell is going on? This is absolutely disgusting. You have my item. I've been trying to ring and no one picks up. I've emailed numerous times again. No one this service is absolutely crap. I would not even recommend this now. I need my item ASAP. I will not be paying the fees so I need someone to be in touch with me.
Completely unreliable company
I had an item confiscated while getting through security at Birmingham airport on the 27th of October. They gave me a piece of paper with a code on it so I could arrange getting it back upon returning from my destination, which was the 6th. I completed the process within hours of the item being taken from me, and out of the options of picking it up at the airport or having it sent to your home address, I selected the pick up at the airport option since I was going to be back there within a week. After selecting this option, the website said that they would respond within 3 working days. I never received a response, or any kind of confirmation.
Needless to say, when I flew back to the airport I was not able to get the item back, luggage point was closed and so I could not ask anyone who works there for help. I sent an email that same day asking for the item to be delivered to me instead, seeing as they had never bothered replying the first time round and at least this way I would still have some way of getting it back. They finally sent me an email replying to the form I filled in on the website on the 27th of October; their response was on the 10th of November, asking for confirmation of whether I had picked up the item or not. I of course replied saying I had not picked it up due to them never replying and luggage point being closed and would now rather it be sent to me seeing as I was no longer able to pick it up at the airport.
They have not yet replied to my response to them on the 10. It is now the 2nd of December. I have tried calling them twice since, both times they have not picked up and the call ends automatically once you spend a maximum amount of time on hold (around 2 mins).
I rarely write reviews, but this place was bad enough it warranted one. I am astounded at the complete incompetence they have shown, and think it is absolutely shameful and despicable they do this and get away with it. Furthermore, the item was of emotional value to me, making it all the more infuriating to think this is how I will lose it. I doubt I will be getting this item back, however, if luggage point reads this I ask them to do the right thing and contact me, I expect the delivery to be completely free of charge after this whole joke.

Lynne at Glasgow airport couldn't have been more helpful or efficient. From me noticing the update on the website I had a small email exchange to confirm lost item was mine. Each reply came back instantly and once we had arranged shipping, I had a notice this had been done inside 20 minutes. Fantastic and so reassuring that I will be getting my missing property back and a huge relief, I am so grateful to Lynne for her all he help. Fantastic service
Brilliant Staff -lost property found!
The staff - Lynn and Iain were incredibly helpful and responsive - the item was found and they took almost as much delight in a successful ending to the lost property enquiry as I did.
Service over and above - GLA Luggage Point
I left my wallet on a flight to Glasgow, filled the form in and chased for three days. I finally spoke to Lynn as the Glasgow office who took it upon herself to chase the airside team, retrieved it and emailed me back as promised to come collect. This is assistance you don’t get of late, and also, going beyond her role. Thanks Lynn, since I had so much in the wallet, got everything back
