I used MacinCloud to support my…

I used MacinCloud to support my programming studies, and the service was incredibly helpful and reliable. The support team was responsive and professional, especially when I needed help with my subscription. I truly appreciate their customer care. Highly recommended for students and developers!

Scam, they charge money for a long-canceled subscription

I have not used any services and cancelled all subscriptions over a year ago. And even in the Recurly service they use for subscriptions, I did not have any active subscriptions. Yet these scammers manually charged me $40 for, and I quote, "usage over prepaid limit for the period from August 28, 2023 to January 22, 2024". THAT WAS OVER A YEAR AGO. Are you sane?

Never use this crap and especially do not even think about leaving your credit card information there.

They steals personal information on their servers

They steals personal information on their server.
For multiple years, I used their Mac VPS server.
Suddenly they modified their server name and I cannot access to the server. On server, there were my personal information including passwords of email, MetaMask wallet etc.
They transferred my all fund 3000USD on my MetaMask wallet to their wallet. My balance 3000USD was stolen by them, but I could not control it.
Terrible experience!

The team at MacinCloud are brilliant

The team at MacinCloud are an absolute dream to deal with. No issue, no matter how small (and mostly my fault) is too much trouble for them. They respond quickly and without any back and forth, because they deal with issues effectively the first time around. I'd recommend anyone who has a Mac requirement but doesn't want to invest in a Mac to give MacinCloud a go. You won't regret it.

Tech support is email only

I subscribed to MacinCloud so that I could connect it to Visual Studio 2022 through "pair to mac" on Windows. I had some issues getting it going, so I contacted tech support by email. A call that should have taken, maybe, 10 minutes produced a slow email dialog, where they would ask a question or make a suggestion. I would respond, then wait overnight until I got a new response. I requested a phone call, but that fell on dead ears. Totally inadequate.

🏆 "MacinCloud: I Paid for a Mac, Got a Digital Prison Instead!" 🔥🔒💸

Beginning:

"I’m completely sold – just what I was looking for!"

At first, I was absolutely thrilled! MacinCloud's service seemed perfect. No more worrying about my own Mac, just getting access to a fully pre-configured system, all in the cloud! I could do all my work conveniently from anywhere. The whole process was seamless and easy, and all the services seemed to be exactly what I needed!

Middle:

I was able to get to work without any issues, and everything was running smoothly. I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t found this sooner! I could work anywhere, and MacinCloud was the perfect alternative to using a personal computer. It was truly amazing!

Ending:

And then... came the moment when I tried to change the wallpaper. Suddenly, I got an alert: "You don’t have sufficient rights." No problem, let’s try adjusting the sound. "You don’t have sufficient rights." No big deal, let’s try using a programming tool... "You don’t have sufficient rights." Wait a second... does this mean that all of this service I’ve been praising doesn’t even let me do basic things? "Insufficient rights" – why does this sound like I’ve been locked in some 90s PC "Guest" mode?

Conclusion:

Well, while MacinCloud offers an easy way to use a Mac in the cloud, I couldn’t help but notice that what I actually got was more like a "customized prison" rather than "full access." So, if you’re fine with enjoying cloud service without being able to tweak basic settings like wallpaper or sound, MacinCloud is definitely the right choice for you. But if you value freedom, this might not be the best fit!

No worth it

No worth it, we spent in our company the cost of a managed server, then a dedicated server, and two weeks of a programmer trying to make it work without any success. Just wanted to develop an IOS app, nothing fancy, was imposible. It's a scam.

No worth your money

No worth your money. Everything is an option and sales website is misleading. When you do the math, buying a brand new mini is cheaper !

Takes your money, doesnt provide access.

MacInCloud will take your payment but not provide access to the VM at all if you cancel the subscription. I paid for it, cancelled my subscription, and they deactivated the VM immediately. Really? I've never seen a company do this. They don't allow you to use bitwarden or other password managers, dont allow copy and past passwords into the VM, so you either have to have an insecure password, or a painfully input password. All sales are final, they were not helpful in resolving the issue, had to dispute the transaction.

Scammed £92 for a system that makes windows look good

I recently acquired a hosting service from macincloud, and I have some mixed thoughts about the experience. Let's dive into the details.

Firstly, the specifications provided were as follows:

16GB RAM
8-core CPU running at 3.01GHz
GPU, albeit unspecified, was stated to be superior to the 128MB GPU offered by MacStadium
Additionally, for a mere £10 extra, they offered an M.2 storage option which was touted to be significantly better.

GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 - can`t even see 2018 used this gpu vram before under 200mb

I appreciate the support

I appreciate the support. I have encountered a complex issue with my server. After upgrading the macOS version, I couldn't access my server. Victor and Tin received my issue within 10 minutes and resolved it successfully. I've created 7 tickets for every issue, and they kindly replied to my tickets. Here, the service is greater than Skype support
