GFD have now used MFT for over 12 months, we have really enjoyed the working relationship between both parties. Great products along with some fantastic support staff. When our Customer Service Team need some assistance with jobs, MFT offer a quick turnaround which is really important to manage any business.

Have dealt with MFT for some yrs now ! Not had many problems and the odd time I have they’ve gone out of there way to sort ASAP what more can you ask as s… happens most of which can be put down to the DIY tryer with a lack of installation knowledge ! Thanks Mike R for all ur help over the yrs 🙌🙌👍

My company Platinum windows & conservatories Ltd have been ordering products for made for trade for a very long time! We use various different companies for various products but I have to say that Made for trade and there team of staff stand head and shoulders above the rest!! Exceptional products and most of all their help and assistance throughout their team is remarkable!! Customer service is unbelievably good 👍

One of my korniche lanterns glass panels shattered for no reason, but made for trade would not replace. So i had to pay for a replacement. Waited a couple of weeks for delivery which was ok but on the day of delivery I wait in all day then text delivery at 16:30 so waited some more.
IT DIDNOT TURN UP!!

I was expecting a delivery of 12 glass units for my lanterns today. I was only delivered 8 glass out of 12 today. And 1 of the 8 glass was damaged. I called made for trade to ask when the remaining will be delivered as my builders want to complete the other works in the house before Christmas. And they cannot complete the other works until the lanterns have arrived as they need the area watertight before they do anything else. The person I spoke to at made for trade said that I shouldn’t have booked the installation until all the materials have arrived. But that’s not the point, you are delaying a lot of the other work that needs to be done. On top of that I had to separately pay 2 workers from my builders a whole day worth of wages for them to be on site just to help me carry these glasses since this company doesn’t even help with carrying the materials.
Now I will have to call them again to help me carry the remaining glass units. So this will cost me extra. WHO’S GOING TO PAY FOR THIS NOW? I am extremely disappointed with this service. And the level of incompetency is ridiculous.

How would I be able to recommend this company to others if they are this incompetent. They say they sell to trade but if they continue with this appalling service customers won’t even buy this product from a trade company or their builder, as there are other options available on the market for trade companies to sell to their customers.

I was warned by a friend who purchased 2 lanterns and a bifold door from them to avoid this company, as he had similar issues. But I was naive enough to go ahead with them. They promote their products at home shows, which is where I found them but similar quality products are available on the market that don’t come with this stress, I would go for them.

For anyone who is interested in purchasing this product be warned that their customer service and transport is very poor. This would eventually lead to costing you more than you expected. Don’t forget the extra stress and money you have to pay to have someone on site to take the delivery.

Update:

The delivery didn’t arrive on 10th November and my workers (that I had to pay again just for them to be there to help me carry the glass) had nothing to do. I didn’t book an installer, I had to get people to help me carry the product. As your company doesn’t carry the product.

The delivery arrived on Monday 13th November and I had to pay for 2 workers for the third time to help. So the “carrying” process alone cost me £900. As I had to pay £150 per worker per day.

My installer checked the frames on Tuesday 14th November and some of the frames has had marks and scratches. I have attached a picture of one of the frame below where you can clearly see a very noticeable mark. Looking at the other reviews, people have had similar problems with damaged frames.

When you pay thousands of pounds for a product. You would expect certain level of care and a competent procedure to ensure the product doesn’t get damaged.

I have never said the product is of poor quality. In fact it is a very high quality product. But the delivery and packaging issues need to be improved significantly. I am not the only one that has raised the same issues. If you look at all the bad reviews, most of them are regarding the delivery and packaging.

I will require compensation for the delivery issues as I had to pay £900 for 3 days for people to be on site just to carry the product, this is completely your fault and it is absolutely ridiculous. The scratches I need to get compensated as well.

By just saying sorry won’t make it fine as I
have lost a lot of money that I shouldn’t have.

Purchased a roof lantern from our local supplier and needed help called MFT and they went above and beyond to help . Also asked for a spare part that I needed and it was recieved next day F.O.C. Old fashioned customer service and pleasure to Deal with .Recommended 5*****

Ordered this lantern from MFT Great product easily put together and packaged like a computer If you follow the procedure from ordering to fixing its easy Great product engineering great.

We purchased a set of Bifold doors through a distributor (who shall remain nameless because they couldn't have been less helpful if they tried) and there was a manufacturing fault with them. However MFT sent out Ritchie and Owen who I can only say are superb. Their level of empathy to our frustrations, their care and attention in resolving the issues, their professional attitude was such a breath of fresh air. They resolved the issues, were extremely helpful and patient despite all of my questions. I could not recommend them highly enough. In 1 visit they have now enabled us to enjoy the doors and have left us feeling that customer service isn't dead. I would even go so far to say that they have set the bar so high that it would be difficult for others to reach it. Thank you Ritchie and Owen, you've taken away months of stress and anxiety!

I have been blown away by the customer service I have received, specifically from Kevin, Ritchie and Owen. My builder really let me down by doing a shoddy installation and then refusing to take responsibility for leaks, but MFT didn't shy away from the issue, Kevin arranged for Ritchie and Owen to visit me and they immediately identified the issue and rectified it. This wasn't their responsibility given it was an installation fault but nonetheless they went above and beyond to help me. All the guys were like a breath of fresh air, I honestly don't know what I would have done without their help and am so grateful. Its not every day you experience such fantastic customer service and a genuine desire to help. I wish I could do more to thank them other than just submitting this review. THANK YOU!

Absolutely superb customer service to rectify an issue of our own making, extensive effort and time taken to ensure the issue was resolved along with replacement parts issued free of charge. I really can’t fault the customer service. Also the product is excellent, high quality bifolds, the best I’ve had or seen and a pleasure to deal with this supplier. Thank you!

Shame I can’t give 0 stars absolutely shocking service !
Bought a lantern to find that the ridge and glass were both damaged. Contacted made for trade, they advised replacement glass would be delivered a few days later still eating over a week now, ridge bar no where to be seen.
Sure if its your mistake you solve the issue quickly ? No not made for trade !

People can’t wait around for promised delivery dates that don’t happen, people have deadlines they have to hit. This costs people a lot of money and time.

Beyond outstanding support today from Kevin | Customer Service Team Leader.
Not only did he respond quickly to an issue (customer had broken internal key in bi-folds) but sent a step by step photo explanation of how to rectify the issue, and if that wasn't already enough amazing customer service, when we (the customer and I) asked for the cost of replacement parts, not only were we told there would be no cost, but sent out the same day!!!!!!! I use MFT for cost and quality. But the customer service that we received today is most likely the best I have ever experience. Many thanks Kevin. Truly outstanding.

Had the pleasure of having Laura Smithyman assist me in my first purchase. She helped my first experience be very easy helped with deliveries and went a little further due to me not understanding the process. But from start to finish the product / help and more so easy of install I can’t recommend the company any higher. Trust them they won’t let you down even the delivery drivers was very helpful too. I have used Made For Trade for a number of years and they have always been fantastic. There used to be some issues with deliveries when these were outsourced to Tuffnells, but since bringing delivery in-house, service has been virtually perfect. Would also like to mention how great Laura and James in customer services are - always friendly, professional, and helpful. I needed a sample of Korniche bifold profile posting to site today, and this was dispatched with a tracking number free of charge within an hour.

A great product backed by a solid service you cannot go wrong choosing a Madefortrade product...believe the Hype they really are the best!

Hi I bought a set of bifold doors over 5 years ago and one of the locking handles became broken.

I contacted made for trade and the customer service I received from Laura Smithyman was excellent so professional. Although the doors I purchased are discontinued Laura managed to source a handle and posted it out within two working days.

We moved into a property with a Korniche lantern already fitted, but it hadn’t been fitted correctly so we were started to have a leak! We contacted Made For Trade and the customer service from the first phonecall and with Tom over email and a further phonecall was fantastic! Tom advised my husband correctly and sent us documents and videos to be able to fix the lantern correctly! Even sending clips we needed free of charge next day! We were about to spend a lot of money to get a company in to try to fix the problem! But Tom advised that it can be done ourselves and saved us a lot of money! The customer service was fantastic and we highly recommend them! Thank you!
