The meals came well protected in an appropriate container and were still frozen. Overall the quality is pretty good. I have some that I liked better than others. My favorites were the beef stew and me... See more

MagicKitchen.com has developed a program where families can buy chef-prepared tasty and healthy pre-made meals packaged for 2 or 4 people. All the preparation and cooking is done – the meal only requires reheating. Within 15 minutes of walking in your front door a hot, tasty, wholesome meal can be on the table and waiting for your family to enjoy.
You have a lot of options for meals, but no other will give you the taste, nutrition and quality for the price, for fully cooked frozen meals. We are confident you will love our food. Take our challenge: try our meals and if we do not meet your expectations, we will either replace the meal or give you a refund for any dishes you feel did not deliver on our promise of taste and quality.
For your convenience, we have two separate menus, our regular HomeStyle menu and our Special Diet Menu for those with special dietary needs.

My 75 yo mom received weekly deliveries from Magic kitchen for 3 years through a senior benefit program. The program is state funded & helps seniors stay In their own homes preventing nursing home placement. Magic Kitchen participates in the program as a vendor. It is listed that they participate on their website & in numerous convo w their intake & billing dept.
The food was good & our weekly customer service rep was absolutely wonderful .Ordering weekly was simple. There is a good variety of food choices, though it’s a little more expensive then similar programs, averaging between $10.50-15.00 a meal. Everything is simple to make & perfect for an elderly or poorly person. Occasionally the meals would arrive unsealed, opened or damaged & they weren’t resent or credited, even after notifying them & sending photo proof (& being told they would be) The issue was with the actual owner of the company. She would YELL at both me & the financial mgmt group rep for what turned out to be her own companies poor accounting practices- on 2 separate occasions . They would go for months without sending a bill & they would suddenly pause my mom’s deliveries demanding immediate payment (even though all communication w the vendor showed understanding & accepting of a net 30 payable process). She would tell me how she hates working w the IRIS senior program, we were told my “mom” owed all kinds of money to them ( we absolutely didn’t) and things of that nature. This happened towards the end of each fiscal years period. After the 3rd time of this happening, dealing w her yelling at us on the phone, actually using foul language during the convo w the fiscal mgmt company, and stopping the approved, authorized & needed meal deliveries to my mom without warning, we decided to use a different vendor. The misplaced anger she had & the stress she put my elderly mom through was uncalled for.
I think they are a good company for ppl that are privately paying - but for anyone using insurance, post hospitalization or senior care management benefits & programs, the owner is difficult, unorganized and quite simply rude. Be careful relying on MK if you’re getting meals through those type of programs. 4/3/26 I’d like to add to my review as I had a chance to speak to the owner. Some of the billing/authorization issues seem to have been a problem w MK & senior care/family care programs as a whole vs our individual account. Had this been communicated to us, we would have been able to assist in obtaining any additional info needed in order to continue to use this approved & accepted vendor. As an IRIS program recipient, we personally direct the funding & payment right to the vendor. I understand & appreciate the frustration that can come w care programs, auths & billing issues. I’d like to reiterate that the quality of food & choices are good- there is obviously a team of well educated & dedicated dieticians on staff that curate the menus. My mom is actually very disappointed that we needed to go w a different vendor. We need to use a company that is reliable & communicates appropriately w us as she is dependent on this program so she can remain as independent as possible in her own home. I stand by my rating due to these issues. I firmly believe If Magic Kitchen can get a handle on their accounting/ authorization dept & communication as part of the care team, they will routinely see 5 star ratings.
Website wouldn’t allow me to log in. When I just decided to order without logging in it wouldn’t take the send to address. I had to call to order. The representative was professional, was able to verify my log in account and had me place this order through her.

Even on the hottest day in Southern California the food came perfectly preserved. It arrived with plenty of dry ice and in a Styrofoam container.

I ordered from Magic Kitchen solely based on reviews which for me is bold since I did not try Magic Kitchen personally before sending a care package to a family member. I’ve been nervously waiting for their feedback and am relieved to say they loved everything about their Magic Kitchen package. Time from order to delivery -fast! Packaging of meals upon delivery - perfect! I ordered several meals for the family and they said it was much appreciated, tasted so good and was easy to prepare. So happy it fit the bill since I tried it on a whim, I would tell others don’t hesitate and I’m doing the same and plan to try it out at our home too.

Best meals I’ve had. Website was unable to process the card I was using, and had to call and place my order over the phone. Over the phone - service was great.

The food was ordered from the kidney diet list. My wife ate most of it because a lot of the items were on my "AVOID" list. The person who chooses the foods for the menus needs to talk to a kidney dietician. ''
My wife says the food was well prepared and tasty.
