Health and safety and fire hazard.
My parents are mid to late seventies with a 95 year old mother living with them. They both work full time. This splurge on a kitchen is their dream. Still not complete with shoddy finishings in parts after approx a month. At one stage the sub contractor left on a 10 day vacation without reinstalling the water as promised beforehand. These two have had to lug dishes up a flight of stairs daily to wash in the sink in the bathroom upstairs and now I have come to visit and there is an approx 3 m high pile of unsafe rubbish piled outside their back door which is unsafe, a fire hazard and God forbid the wind starts to blow. Apparently removal was paid for as part of the contract and they keep delaying. This is an utter disgrace and my dear parents would never complain. Who is responsible, Magnet, if you su contract everything and this gigantic pile of rubbish kills one of them when a strong breeze blows????

Perfect kitchen and great experience in the leith branch
Alice designed us the most beautiful and functional kitchen. We had three meeting in the Leith branch where they were so accommodating as we had 2 small kids with us! Great experience it really felt like they understood our needs perfectly. The kitchen is now in and complete and we are thrilled with the finished kitchen.

Absolutely amazing service at Merthyr…
Absolutely amazing service at Merthyr magnet especially Shawn Williams! We unexpectedly had to have a new kitchen and went into magnets to have a look Shawn came up to us straight away he was very friendly there was no pressure from him when looking around. When we went in to see what he had designed it was better than we imagined he talked us through everything. It was such a pleasure to have Shawn as our consultant what should have been a stressful time for us was a breeze! Thank you Jess and John aswell but Shawn I don’t think you know how good you are!

The kitchen was delivered on time and in order!

Our beautiful Magnet Kitchen
We’ve just had our beautiful new Magnet Kitchen designed and installed by Magnet Yeovil. Our designer Jaya was able to deal with all of our alterations and my many questions throughout with good humour and much patience!
There were also some technical glitches and software changes Jaya had to cope with that made a complicated shaped design even more difficult.
This makes the final result even more satisfying-so Well Done to Jaya and Stuart the fitter for getting it over the line!
We’re are very pleased with the quality of the cabinets and workmanship. The kitchen looks great!

Disappointing after care and customer service
We purchased a new kitchen from Magnet, including all appliances, in late 2025. Unfortunately, our experience after the sale has been extremely disappointing.
After just seven months, our fridge freezer developed a fault and stopped working. We made a warranty claim directly with the manufacturer, but the process was incredibly frustrating. It took three engineer visits and a total of 5½ weeks before the appliance was finally repaired. Despite the length of time and repeated failed repair attempts, the manufacturer refused to replace the appliance, leaving us without a fridge freezer during 30°C summer temperatures.
During this time, we contacted Magnet on several occasions, both in store and via their customer service line, asking them to step in and either help resolve the situation or provide a replacement or refund. Under the Consumer Rights Act, our contract is with the retailer, not the manufacturer. However, Magnet denied any responsibility and were unwilling to offer any assistance whatsoever.
We also experienced issues with the kitchen itself, as several parts arrived damaged and needed replacing. While Magnet did eventually arrange replacements, it felt reluctant rather than proactive, and the replacement parts took 5–6 weeks to arrive. This meant our kitchen fitters had to return at a later date, causing additional inconvenience and delay.
Overall, the level of after-sales service has been very poor. Once Magnet had our money, it felt like they were no longer interested in helping when problems arose. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Magnet.

3 months and still no quote!
They came out to our house, measured up, promised a plan and quote. Here we are 3 months later and nothing. We have emailed and phoned and either the manager is too busy stocktaking or simply doesn't reply. We have since had a brilliant kitchen already fitted and still nothing from Magnet. Sack the manager on the Isle of Man - he is known to be a total joke - and our experience bears this out!

Excellent aftersales service as well as brilliant kitchen
We had our Magnet kitchen refitted three years ago and have been thrilled with it ever since. However we had a minor problem recently when one corner food cupboard shelf fell down. Nothing was broken except the shelf brackets. The manager from Newark Branch came out within 48 hours and fixed it and also touched up a couple of places on the worktop trim that had sustained minor damage. He was brilliant and we are so grateful for the excellent customer service as well as the superb kitchen we enjoy daily. Thank you Magnet!
