Average-Satisfactory Service, Required to pay for return postage

This is less of a negative review, more a constructive and helpful one I hope. i would 3.5 stars if it was possible.

I ordered 8 items (all workwear trousers in different colours and sizes) from Mammoth online on the 21st November 2020. On the 30th November I received an email to say 2 of my items were not available any longer. The remainder of my available items arrived 3 days later. I feel like 9 days after order confirmation is a long time to wait to be told that elements of my order were not available.

Once I had tried the items on I had to return those that didn't fit. I then realised I had to pay for postage and would not be reimbursed for this. Sending back items of this weight and value costs £17.

Not happy, I won't order clothes online again and will make sure i visit the store if i ever want to try anything on. In this day and age Mammoth need to get with the program and offer free returns otherwise how can their clothes be tried on during a pandemic?

Nearly 3 weeks and no trousers.

Ordered work trousers online 21st November. No confirmation received. Chased them on 25th November. They confirmed order received and was being processed. On December 2 I received an email telling me the item was discontinued!! I responded on December 4 with questions as their email was unclear. Since then, NOTHING despite 2 chasers. Shocking service and inefficiency. Won't use them again.

Awful service.

Awful service.
When I ordered everything was in stock. Received half of my order, was told the rest would turn up in a couple of days.
It never came, rang 3 times, each time they said they would call be back when they know what’s going on, not once got a call did they call me back.
Stock now available in april 2021?!?! Only found this out as I had to call them for a 4th time!!
So asked for my money back. Will never use again!!!

Just placed an order for a Portwest Hi Vis Bomber Jacket (small,red) and have yet to receive any confirmation/order ref number despite the payment being taken immediately. Hopefully it actually arrives...

Awful

These people told me the only reason they didn't get my parcel out was because of coronavirus. You don't have to look for for a Bad review. Customer service told me the only reason I didn't get my parcel was because of coronavirus yet most of these reviews have been written before covid-19. Customer service is very poor and they are very rude. They lied about me telling a member of staff that I would wait for my parcel even though I asked for a full refund. I do have the phone call if you would like me to send it to you but even though I have said this before they continue to say I lied. But I'll gladly send it you. I will continue to write bad reviews about this page if customer service don't speak to me nicer. And untill then ill write as many reviews as I can.

I am deeply disappointed with the…

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Mammoth Workwear. I have used them for previous orders of Hi Vis sweatshirts and polos for my small company and everything has been absolutely fine.
However I have been trying to order embriodered sweatshirts for the last two weeks with no success despite 2 emails and actually speaking to a sales woman on the telephone who said she would get a quote to me. I'm still waiting. No way to run a business Mammoth!

15 days for delivery

Ordered 12th October.
Dispatched 26th October
Received 27th October

I ordered on Monday 12th, called up on Friday 16th to query dispatch (was told 3-5 working days, but "progressing through the system"- ok, so be it, Monday/Tuesday should be dispatched on that basis.

Monday 19th October - email received with an update claiming should be dispatched Tuesday 20th/Wednesday 21st ....

Friday 23rd I email to query dispatch as no dispatch email received.

Saturday 24th I get a reply stating it should have left during the week I ordered (contradicting the update I received earlier in the week) however they'll chase an update and let me know Monday (26th).

Monday 26th - I decide to call up at 16:05 as no update received. Chap on the phone took my number and said he'll chase and call me back in 5 minutes.
17:05 I call back as this 5 minutes has become an hour (I was expecting a 10-15 minute callback in reality). Within this 40 second phone call with someone else, being dispatched right now and expect an email off DHL.

Tuesday 27th Delivered by DHL.

All in all I'd give 2/5 for the following:
- Timescales not met (already extended timescale due to COVID)
- Blatant lack of communication making me do all the chasing and you can't keep your story straight.

On a positive note though you were cheap hence why I ordered through you and also you used a courier who can keep to their timescales too.

Good company to do business with.

Great product range, keen prices, good service, reliable deliveries, and no-fuss refund when it turned out what I'd ordered one time was no longer in stock. I'm a semi-regular customer and happy with their service.

Very satisfactory service

Easy to order. Did take 10 days to receive my delivery which my confirmation said it may take due to covid. Very happy with service, will definitely be ordering from mammoth workwear again.

Very poor service

Very poor service. They wont even reply to my emails. I dont usually write reviews but this had to be made. After two weeks of waiting for my order to progress anywhere, I decided to cancel it and request for a refund. Hopefully at least that will go as intented.

Would never use this company again

I placed an order on a Thursday and payment was taken immediately, I called the same day to confirm when I could expect delivery and was told it would be on the following Tuesday, called on Tuesday and was told that they had arrived and would be sent out promptly and offered no reason for failed delivery, still nothing by the Friday so I called for a 3rd time and was told that they had discontinued the item I had ordered. I never got any order confirmation or any communication of any kind and when I called them it would appear that I have been lied to. When I wrote a complaint, I was fobbed off with some nonsense about not having a record of my calls and not being able to look into it as I did not take the name of the person who advised me of the delivery dates. One of the worst UK companies I have ever dealt with.

We do apologise there was an issue with the stock of the Regatta hiker boots you ordered. When orders are placed via our website payments are automatically taken, as is the same with nearly all websites.
We have no record on our phone systems of any calls coming in from the mobile telephone number on your order either on the day you placed your order nor on the Tuesday following you have advised you had called.
On the day (24th) you placed your order the sales staff would only have been able to advise the order was received. The order only started to process through the warehouse the day after (25th) so we would of not of been able to advise the same day your order was placed on a dispatch date.
Unfortunately due to the current pandemic we are extremely short staffed and I apologise as you should have been notified via email on the 25th/28th that the item you ordered was not in stock and no further stock was available. I apologise there was a breakdown in our communication to you.

When our sales staff did receive a telephone call from you the order was cancelled and a refund was issued the same day.

Good quality workwear with loads of…

Good quality workwear with loads of choice in size, colours and price range. With having a short leg it’s a pleasant change to have a work trouser in a 29” leg that fits properly and isn’t crumpled up at the ankle because they are too long as are the ones supplied by my employer

Exceptional customer service

Ordered two pairs of work boots but delivery timing meant they wouldn't have arrived in time for our site visit. I spoke to Customer Services who went above and beyond - Linda, you're a star - and organised that they reached us not only in time, but the next day. And the boots are great too!

Shocking!

Shocking!

Placed a small order with this company two weeks ago.

Items did not turn up the first week so emailed to ask when item would be delivered and was assured they would be dispatched the Monday of the second week.

Now Friday of the second week and no delivery.

Emailed them again and was informed that the item had been discontinued!

Zero communication from them and only communicated in reply to my emails.

If only mammoth were as efficient at providing purchased items as they are at taking your money, they did that the very second I clicked the “buy” button.

Poor service indeed.

I do apologise there was an issue with the pair of trousers and belt you ordered. Our sales team had been advised the stock was being transferred over from the main warehouse and we emailed you on the 3rd August advising due to dispatch 7/10th Aug. You emailed on the 7th August and we reiterated the information the warehouse had given and your order would dispatch by Monday 10th.
Unfortunately the trousers did not arrive in from the warehouse and due to admin staffing issues due to social distancing regulations this was not chased on the same day we advised your order was due to dispatch.
Unfortunately we are only human and we are trying our best still with only 50% staff in place and in this instance have fallen short and for that we can not apologise enough.
Your order has been refunded back to your PayPal account and will show as available same day.
