Absolutely unacceptable, my poor mother travelled all the way in an uber with a broken foot, to get a call last minute saying oh sorry I was unaware I had a viewing I’ll be there in 10 mins, my mum st... See more

Disgusting company
Disgusting company I have pages of the ridiculous and disgraceful things they have said and done just from a year of living in one of their properties. Everything from the landlord to everyone at Mann and the maintenance team was unbearable to deal with and nothing was ever solved, new problems every two weeks in the house since we moved in with no solutions and ridiculous rent prices for a property that’s not been serviced in at least two years, paid for an en-suite and had use of half or none of it the whole time I was here!
I wish I’d read the reviews before…
I wish I’d read the reviews before trying to buy a property via Mann in Ashford. Terrible from start to finish. Impossible to get hold of and when you do, some of the staff are very rude. We decided to buy a house with a different agent. Didn’t realise how bad some estate agents can be until now!
Poor service
Poor service, SEN one time I tried to use them for a viewing of a house and again been let down. First time by Jo Lindsay and second time by Rebecca at the Gosport branch. First time they took us to a house and then told us it’s under offer. Second time we booked to see a house then got called up to say they were away. So rebooked for a Friday. No confirmation through to find out she is on annual leave and to be told it’s now under offer. I understand how quickly houses go up and down but communication is appalling.
Deceptive pictures and lies on listings
I am currently moving home and chose to view a property with Mann Countrywide in Woolwich based on my criteria seemingly being met on my Rightmove search. The images did not include the front of the property which I now know to be a red flag. When greeted by the estate agent, Catherine, at the property I explained that the property had been incorrectly listed online but she did not seem surprised (regular practice?) or even apologetic at the fact I had made a wasted journey due to the misrepresentation. I advised her I was only interested in semi detached properties so would not be continuing with the viewing, to which she replied “if it’s just you and no one else, can I ask why you’re only looking at semi detached homes?” As if extra occupants makes me eligible for side access to my garden Catherine!
No one contacted me afterwards for feedback or clarification and as a result of Catherine Melder's attitude, I certainly will not be using Mann in the future. It's a shame as my mum had used them in the past when purchasing and had good things to say but it seems that times have changed.
VILE Company.
The most horrific experience I have ever had with any estate agent. They NEED to be shutdown. Rude, disgusting and corrupt staff. Stay miles away from this company if you value your health. VILE.
Atrocious service! Avoid at all cost
Me and my partner went all the way from London to Kent Gillingham to view a property on the weekend and I turned up to see no one was there. I tried calling the office multiple times went straight to voicemail. Traveled for over an hour to be let down. Call the lettings line to be told to “keep trying” I had to end up knocking on the properties door for someone else to open. During the viewing the estate agent wasn’t very helpful she was literally silent during the whole viewing and did not bother one bit to give any information about the property. The adds they post on Zoopla and Rightmove are very misleading from the pictures they post of the property to the description. Overall poor service. Every time you call no one answers the phone. I traveled from London to Kent and was shocked when no one can simply pick up the phone. No communication at all. I’m glad I did not use their service. There are many other estate agents out there that provide a much better service. They were more willing to sell me their mortgage service than the property. I told the person on the phone I already have a mortgage in principle and a mortgage broker in place but yet they still forcefully used their cheap sales tactics to try and sell me their mortgage schemes and booked me in for a phone call with their advisor even though I said no. Overall terrible service from the moment I first made contact. All the other reviews here seem to say the same thing. To anyone else thinking of buying or selling a property I would advise you to stay clear from this company, they will forcefully try and take your personal details to sell you their mortgage schemes and their service is just simply poor.
AVOID!!! - ZERO STARS!!!
AVOID!!!! - ZERO STARS!!!
We had the misfortune of dealing with the Waterlooville branch who wilfully let us an unsafe property, blamed everyone (including us) for their own failings, and refused to accept any liability.
The UK has gas safety regulations for a reason. As a new tenant, we had every right to expect a safe home. But no. What we got was a load of paperwork claiming our home was safe and a boiler that wasn’t attached to the flue. They even sent us a photograph of the detached flue and argued it was safe!!
Apparently, according to their office, carbon monoxide is not a danger! ??? They actually for real?!
Our lives and the life of a 5 year old meant nothing to them.
It took them over a month to fix the boiler, most notably with a vile attitude.
If you value your life, AVOID this inhumane and despicable company.
If you wish to die due to someone’s incompetence, let a property from Mann.
Requested a quote for my new property…
Requested a quote for my new property purchase and best mortgage rate
The lady at Woolwich Mann and Co was very very really rude to me
I asked her Manager to call me back and never heard anymore
Poor service in my opinion
Stay away from this letting agency
They played with me for over 2 weeks about an apartment in Waterlooville. Had my credit check, provide excellent references from my landlord, kept lying to me telling me that everything will be fine. Complained that my pension amounts were at several dates in the month ( I received several, from US, France and UK sometimes the dates vary from one day) my pension amount were way above and the first time, they could confirm only half of it even though they had my bank statements. Stay away from Mann & Co Countrywide. Countrywide Morgage was one of the bank scandal ( 2007/2008) in the US which led to the subprime and people losing their home.
Truly Awful Experience
I know that estate agents have a generally bad reputation but Mann & Co South Croydon branch take the biscuit! We dealt with Eve when we were trying to purchase a flat & it was an awful experience! On viewing the flat it looked reasonable inside and we were told all it needed was a lick of paint and there were no major problems but when we got our survey done it indicated that basically the flat is uninhabitable due to damp that is so bad it is a potential health hazard and the owner had tried to cover it up with paint and hardboard so it did look reasonable to lay people like us.What a dirty trick by the owner! Walls were in danger of falling down and there were many other serious problems.I am disgusted that we never had an inkling about the bad state of the flat before the survey due to the cover up job by the owner. I am not saying that Eve or the agents were in any way complicit in the cover up or even aware of it ,nor am I saying she tried to knowingly mislead us about the condition of the property and maybe she was not aware of the bad condition of the flat herself, however, this hardly inspires confidence in the agents and she should have known! If she did know about the condition of the property then I think she was acting illegally in not informing us about all the serious problems ,but of course that would be hard to prove. It is a definite loophole in the law which is ripe for exploitation by dishonest agents. We will never have anything to do with Mann again. It would seem that these agents don’t give a damn about buyers or the condition of a property and just want to rush a sale through so they can get their big fat fee. Buyers beware! They may not be acting illegally but I would question their ethics,or lack of,especially as they had told us there were no serious problems and it is no wonder that estate agents have such a terrible reputation. Also they refused to take the property off the market after the offer had been accepted by the owner which left us in danger of being gazumped. They just don’t seem to care about gazumping.Judging by all the other bad reviews many people have had a terrible experience with Mann & Co and I would advise you to avoid this dodgy bunch like the plague,it was a truly awful experience! There should be laws to protect the buyer and prevent the wasted time and money on solicitor and survey fees when you are forced to pull out of a sale due to a less than honest owner covering up the bad condition of a property which is only revealed by an expensive survey.Agents should be forced to check the condition of a property and inform buyers if there are major problems, unfortunately it seems you can’t rely on some agents to do this (certainly not Mann & Co) and legislation is needed.
SCUM
Dirty, evil, money hungry SCUM. Have no issues with throwing out a disabled woman and her 2 children and leaving them HOMELESS. Do NOT do business with these scummy parasites, they won't do their basic requirement because they're so unbelievably incompetent. Have no basic emapthy and are so rude and quite frankly disgusting, immorable little leeches. I honestly don't know how they sleep at night, pure scum.
Mann&co Gosport are terrible and expensive..!!!!!!!!
Mann&co Gosport are the most amateur estate agents there is in the sector.i need to sell my house and I've taken it off the market rather than sell it with Mann&co.they are unprofessional rude lier's..this is a message you should all take note of ignore at your peril... please stay away from this estate agent and they also charge double of any other agents....look around for better you deserve it...
Disgraceful Service
Well what can you say about this company. We rented out a property through them expecting a great service. They inspected an immaculate property with everything in place. Somehow whilst they were charging us for the upkeep and property checks our tenant's managed to remove all plants, trees, shrubs and two 8' x 6' garden sheds and paint every room in the house without their knowledge. And guess what its our fault/problem. Would not trust them to manage anything. By the way I am scoring them one star as I couldn't select no stars. Avoid at all costs because it will cost you. You have been warned
WORSE THAN COVID
WORSE THAN COVID
We have been messed around, had our time wasted, and been stone cold lied to. I've been renting in London for over 10 years and they are honestly the worst agents I have ever had the displeasure of using.
Save yourself time, stress and money and avoid them.
I live in a building comprising of…
I live in a building comprising of several flats, one of which was sold last year 2021around June/July.
The ‘sold’ sign is still attached to the fence on the property. I have contacted Mann in their Sutton, Surrey office on 7-8 occasions to ask for their sign to be removed, but apart from one promise do this after my first call, nothing has happened.
Subsequent calls, and emails to them have been totally ignored.
Their customer service appears nonexistent, and if I decide to sell my flat, Mann Estate agents would be the absolute last people I would use.
If they can’t organise this simple thing, I dread to think how they do business!
From a tenants perspective
From a tenants perspective: Mann have been hopeless from start to finish. Agents make you feel like everything you do is wrong and their favourite thing to do is threaten financial penalties for asking them to do the most basic of tasks. Every correspondence is rude and condescending.
They arranged for our landlord to attend our property with NO NOTICE not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES during our tenancy. We've tried several times to lodge complaints but we're not even sure anyone submitted them.
No one seems to know each other's job in the office and we've been without vital appliances upwards of ten weeks at a time.
I once phoned and was spoken to in the most disgusting, dismissive tone which was blatantly based in sexism. The classic "I'm just going to speak over you, make your problems seem insignificant and demand I know best regardless".
Awful service, they just take the money and do less than minimal work. Don't be fooled by good google reviews, they pay new tenants £20 for writing a 5* review on moving into a property.
Lazy and discriminative. I hope they are investigated very soon.
After many phone calls to manns.i was…
After many phone calls to manns.i was finally called back to be told there would be no refund the £160 + a month charge was for them to have the tenant pay the rent to them then manns to put money in my bank.they are disgusting.
-100 stars.
If i could give this company -100 stars I would.
Very disappointed and shocked at the horrendous service I received, from start right up until I was done with them. Thank God I didn't have to deal with them any longer.
Mann estate agents - Chessington
We dealt with Mann estate agents Chessington when buying our first house and exchanged today. We spent a year dealing with other estate agents and viewing other properties but Mann estate agents chessington instantly felt different, right from the first point of contact. They couldn’t do enough to accommodate us, even when the property was so heavily in demand and they were managing many viewings on the same day. They were very professional but also very personable, really taking the time to listen to us. They quickly introduced themselves to us and Akil, Kim and Zoe really made us feel like part of the extended family and so at ease. They helped us through getting the offer accepted and it was after this point that they really went above and beyond. They managed our expectations well and with compassion, and helped keep a clear and easy line of communication between us and the seller making the whole process free of stress or worry. They were always happy to take calls and emails with my questions (of which there were many as a first time buyer), but also proactively got in touch with us regularly to keep us informed. Our solicitor was unfortunately difficult to deal with and the fantastic team at Mann estate agents even helped manage this relationship better and patched the holes in our knowledge that perhaps the solicitor should have been doing. They took on the role of estate agent/friend/liaison between parties (and sometimes therapist) with the highest integrity and professionalism without complaint. I rarely leave feedback for companies but this experience genuinely compelled me to. We honestly couldn’t have got through the sale without their fantastic support and help. The only downside is that once we complete in a week, we won’t have regular contact with Akil, Zoe or Kim as their job is well and truly done, and then some. Would highly recommend to anyone.
