Viewed their site to replace old contract phone . Within minutes I was receiving free advise on line one to one . Decided on the Ruggex Rhino2 which I phoned and ordered .I have now received the phone and am very pleased with it ,working on building sites most days I know this phone will last rough treatment .Very happy with Mantistech and recommend them to anyone ,the whole process has been very professional from start to finish . Bought a Ruggex Rhino 2 online and rang the following day to check on the progress of the delivery, could not get through, didn't leave a message but, got a call back within 2minutes!! This company was really customer focused and helpful, wanting to provide the right product that met my needs rather than like so many just wanting a sale. Questions were promptly answered and I purchased one of their rugged phones for use as a GPS device, I am pleased with the purchase. I stongly believe that they will also provide a good aftersales service and know they must be confident in what they sell because of their fourteen day returns policy.

I am delighted with my refurbished phone from MantisTech. Few scratches on it, screen was perfect and they had put a screen saver on anyway, And just as the sales person described it. Great sales and buying experience. And very helpful after sales advise - a rare experience these days! I use my phone in the great outdoors, around horses and in the hills of Scotland. I have already been out in the rain and used it. No problems! For some folk it will feel a bit bulky and large; but this is what makes it rugged! The belt pouch is also great! Bought 3 phones for site supervisors, was very pleased with them so went back for another 2. Good features, very up to date operating system, duel sim for the poor signal areas to keep the options open and ideal for dirty or wet areas and hands, big bonus is the price, very competitive. overall very pleased.

Buying from Mantistech was a shot in the dark, but after searching for a rugged mobile phone that was a little different, I decided to take the risk. I have no regrets. After being let down by a series of mobile phones that appear to have been constructed from a composite of gossamer, tissue paper and angel feathers, it was time to find a mobile suitable for the rigours of the construction industry.

An online search gave a number of options and after a little further research I decided to give Mantistech a shot, largely based on the customer feedback I read.

The phone is fantastic (RUGG4), a solid piece of hardware in it's own protective casing, it runs on Android 4.4 and is easy to use, doesn't come packed out with apps that less than 5% of the population use and has an excellent battery life (probably because it isn't running useless apps). I chose the 3G version because my service provider only offers 3G and I only ever use my phone for calls, texts, emails, photographs relating to work browsing and google maps.

The RUGG4 handles all of these with no problems whatsoever.

I did have an initial problem with MMS and mobile data access so I called Mantistech and got through to a real human - I know, crazy - which is where Mantistech really impressed. Mak knows his stuff, he also knows his people, he established pretty quickly that I knew nothing about APNs (other than I knew there was an APN option on my phone) and was able to explain to me in plain and simple English what they were and why I needed to edit them. Furthermore, he emailed me full instructions, a link to where the settings could be found on the web and also a tutorial video; we also had a bit of a chat. He then followed that up with a courtesy email to see how I'd gotten on.

In a world where everything appears to be automated, customer service is by the numbers and off script, I can only say thank you Mantistech for keeping it real, and for a 50 year old technophobe, dead simple.

What can i say? I bought something and it turned up? this reviewing everything culture can be a little tiresome at times.

After a couple of months using the Ruggex Rhino-Two I'm very pleased with it. The phone has taken everything thrown at it from the attentions of two toddlers, mountain rescue call outs, mud and grime, building work and barring a few minor scratches is good as new.
The support from Mantis has been top notch - including providing suggestions for a couple of apps to improve performance and more.

Being a small company they actually seem to care, we understand this as we have a small business, and that is why people come to us. It is a steep learning curve as this is my first smart phone, I did not want iPhone, even though I have an ipad. I like the flexibility with android. A detailed set of instructions would be good, but it would probably take a lifetime to write them. IT is a good phone, heavier than an I phone but if you want long battery life, sim card options plus extra memory and overall tough ness this does it. Just got to get used to size after years with nokia 6230 (still kept it though and I can put sim card back anytime!)

The phone is superb and just what I was looking for. Takes a bit of setting up, however it's worth it for the lack of unwanted software on previous phones I have owned. The app permission feature is a real eye-opener.

The phone offers much more grip than thin, glass backed phones and whilst it's unlikely to win any beauty awards it is 100% practical.
