Nothing short of brilliant. From the minute I met Carly I just knew this was the right estate agent for me. From the beginning it’s been amazing. Any phone call or question was answered immediately. Nothing was ever to much trouble even when there were issues.
Sarah as given us so much advice and helped to navigate this stressful time. Whilst still in the process of moving I feel calmer that I have my two super hero’s who I know will always be there if needed. Not all superhero’s wear capes.

Well Sarah hills as acted for me on 2 occasions on 2 houses one buying and one selling. I go to say Sarah is one of the most hardworking and some conscientious person I have met. What a sales manager she is. A very kind caring lady as well I’m so impressed I would recommend Sarah to anyone. Vicki did a great job on the couple of occasions in Sarah’s absence too.

I bought a property that Martin & Co were handling. I found them very responsive. The main people I spoke to on the phone was Vicky and Sarah. They were always lovely and polite. Whenever I viewed the property, it was Sarah who greeted me. Always before time, always with good detail and understanding about the property and sellers. You know when you go to view a property and the person showing you round says, "well, I know nothing about this house, I'll ask XXX" - I didn't get this with Martin & Co. Both Vicky and Sarah knew about the property, and if there was something I requested (like the emptying of the shed or what's the alarm code), if they didn't know, they asked the seller promptly. I was impressed with Martin & Co. Illustrative of them, is that when I sold my property I had to beg my estate agent to pick up the For Sale sign (they never got round to putting up the For Sold sign and they had 6-8 weeks to do so). Martin & Co had a Sold sign up. The day after I completed, that sign was picked up, without me even mentioning it. Very competent. Fully recommend. I don't plan on moving in the near future, but if I need to, they'll be my first port of call.

Vicky and Sarah were both equally fantastic and helpful when I was in the process of buying my first home. They were really understanding of the number of times I wanted to visit the property. It was a very easy process because of Vicky and Sarah when it could have been very stressful. I would absolutely recommend Martin & Co!

From my very first phone call (all calls/emails have been answered/responded to quickly) I was reassured of a professional and personal service. My home didn't even go live before a viewing was booked by the buyers who subsequently bought my property. Both Vicky and Sarah have been fantastic, they answered my questions and gave solid and relevant advice.

Buying a house can be very stressful and my experience was not straightforward but Vicky and Sarah from Martin & Co made everything seem easier. They were both so friendly and helpful and were always on the end of the phone if I needed advice about anything.

I always ignore any flat or house thats up for renting from Martin & Co their services are absolutely shocking and the staff are super rude to you on the phone and not helpful at all

Any person thinking about renting from Martine and co worksop, please be extremely careful .
I have a kept all emails from this office where my request for information regarding problems with the property/ landlord. I have been given information that is outrageous , if not illegal . Within 48 of my complaint in September 2023 I was served section 21 notice .
Following on from that complaint I have reported a problem with pests , another total lack of respect degrading comments terrible attitude has followed When vermin are getting into walls from the outside due to repairs / when a landlord is historically aware of vermin problems regardless of the location or the time of year ! which has been confirmed in email by Martine and co . They have still done ( other that blame me ) nothing almost one week later.
The comment from Martine and co received on trust pilot today is not helpful it is not in any way greatly different to what they understand! Happened ! I have a complete history of facts the bottom line is they respond on trust pilot but can not resolve this with tenant when I have been calling and email constantly. Without resolution .
I don’t think attaching the emails onto here is going to help . They are not going to be made public conversely If Martine and co worksop would like me to send them please just ask. All this has been reported to all other relevant departments.

Martin and co were so on the ball about getting the right buyer for my mother’s property! Professional, hugely empathic towards my mother… we cannot recommend them enough! And such a quick, painless sale!

Sarah, Miranda and Vicky were brilliant as a team making sure I was fully informed the whole way through the process of the sale of my house. They followed up efficiently and effectively with all parties to ensure exchange and completion happened on time. Highly recommend. Andy, South Anston.

Recently had our house valued by Carly, although we decided to use another estate agent we could not find fault with her professionalism. It was a very hard decision to make as we found her extremely likeable with a great business attitude and knowledge of the local area and housing market. Carly was smartly dressed and very well presented in her personal appearance. We wish you all the best in your job. R&I.

We recently applied for a property as we are desperate to get out of our current one. Gemima met us for the viewing and she was extremely friendly and made us greatly aware of the application process.
I unfortunately have a less than great credit history which I explained to Gemima who told the landlord before they took application fees therefore we weren't disappointed.
Once our applications had come back I received a phone call from Andy who was also really friendly and told us that we were successful in the application and fit us in around our own schedule to sign documents and pick up the keys.
All in all a great service and an amazing team!! We couldn't thank you enough!

No refund and left Homeless

I saw a new build apartment online advertised in the Long Eaton area for a reasonable price. I proceeded to make the usual protocol- contacting the agency to arrange a viewing. The estate agent took my details and booked a viewing.
When it came to the viewing, I rang before hand to confirm that my appointment was still on. It was confirmed that my appointment will be still going ahead and that the agent will meet me at the property.
I made my way confidently to the property.
I waited patiently in the cold and rain, eagerly awaiting to view the property.
10 minutes had passed, but no sign of the estate agent.
I called the Martin and Co back. They then apologised and stated that they have no record of the viewing appointment. I was absolutely stunned and shocked at the level of confusion and unprofessionism that had just taken place. Especially, when I had made an extra effort to ensure that the appointment was still on, knowing that I was coming from a long way by public transport.
Martin and Co then stated that they will booked and appointment 3 days later for me to view the property.
After making a complaint to the manager, I  accepted their apology and agreed to booking another appointment. I had asked for an email confirmation of the appointment- which despite after two phone calls I did not receive.
However, on the day of the viewing, I did get a courtesy call asking me to confirm whether I will be attending. I confirmed.
I viewed the property and made an offer the following day.
Fees were paid, ID's were produced and the referencing process started.
During the referencing process, I had queries regarding referencing and the property. I found that the lady handling my file was very lax and and slow in dealing with things. Many occasions it took countless calls and messages for her to get back to me.
She even advised me to hand in my notice to my current landlord, before confirming crucial information such as the building completion date. I stated that I did not want to put myself and my family in the position to become homeless. She advised "don't worry everything will be sorted out by then, just hand it in".
Three weeks later, I received an email stating that there was a delay in the moving in date and they will confirm the new date shortly.
Another email was sent a week later stating that the council had not signed off the new builds and unfortunately we will not be able to proceed with the move. We were informed that all fees paid will be refunded.
As you can imagine, I was highly frustrated at the situation and also myself for not staying clear of Martin and Co from the outset. The warning signs of unprofessional conduct, unreliability and a lax attitude were present.

I have sent several emails and made several calls and messages requesting for the refund to be completed and still no sign of Martin and Co refunding the money to us. I am deeply saddened, frustrated and appalled at the extremely poor service that I have received.
I will be making a formal complaint and want to make others aware of this company. Please beware and stay clear.
