Good quality bikes, much cheaper then anywhere else in netherlands. I bought an electric bike for 599 euros and I am pretty happy with it.

good product, good price. The only problem is that the bike needs to be assembled by yourself which should be described in the website.

I have experience both with the online shopping and in store. I went to the store in De Bilt first to have a look at the bikes, even though it was close to closing time the assistants there gave us plenty of time to look around and very good advice. Unfortunately, the bike I wanted wasn't available in the store so I decided to order online and having it sent home.
Something went wrong with the online payment, most likely due to my bad internet connection. I contacted matrabike and they confirmed right away that everything was fine and that my bike would be delivered on the desired date.
The day before I received a phone call to confirm that the bike was being delivered the following day and at what time. The delivery man came on time.

The bike was delivered on the day requested. The instructions were vague and not easy to follow. I took it to a bike shop to secure everything and attach the lock, as the handlebar seemed to be facing in the wrong direction and I was unable to move it.
Once put together properly the bike was easy to use and also simple to fold up to store, a super buy.

I thought there is a 14 day money back guarantee. Unfortunately, they told me that the lock I bought could not be refunded.

edit: No, the lock is completely unused. I just wanted to make use of the money back guarantee one day after I received it. Here is the answer I received: "You can send the lock back but we won’t pay you back."

There was a 2 day delay in the delivery, the site of the transport company never showed me the delivery date, so I was lucky that someone was at home to pick up the order.

We had to call twice to get any information why it took so long and these were nit even correct. The bikes are OK and with some helping hands ready to ride.

It took one day for matrabike to deliver my new bike. The company called the day before to make sure that the delivery time was fine with me. The overall experience was great and the bike rides very smoothly. Very pleased.

In August 2012 I bought a bike together with a lock for 414 euros. The bike had to be returned to the shop by myself twice. Once because there were some cracks on the paint, they changed it for me. The second time was because I did not have the right tool to install a small part of the bike.

A few weeks after the purchase, the key of the lock snapped in the lock (without me forcing it). A half of the key was left in the lock and the bike was not unlocked. I called matrabike, they said they would discuss and call me back, which they didn't. I called several times to push for an answer. Eventually (a few days ago) they said I had to cut the lock myself and then go to the shop and show the broken lock and get a new one.

Currently the bike is still lying on the top floor of my company. Very tiring experience. Should have spent some more money for better services.

I am Russian and I am used to driving Ladas, so I treat my bicycle like a Lada. It takes it like a true comrade. Strong

The price (200 Eur) is the best you can find for a MTB with front and rear suspension and disk brakes.

It looks really good and it feels good.

However, I haven't given it 5 stars because of the following reasons:
- the 6th gear (slowest speed) can't be used because the chain touches the plastic protection between the gears and the wheel
- the bike squeaks when moved backwards. I guess I'll have to put some grease on the hubs
- so far, I couldn't fit perfectly the front brake disc between the brake pads. Therefore there's some friction..
