Big corporations can be so sucky because they give me a $50 coupon for a hotel website after I traded in like 150000 points and the coupon applies the discount after first raising the base rate. So dishonest

A $36 Lesson in Regret at McDonald’s

I walked into this experience expecting a quick, convenient DoorDash order. What I got instead was a $36 lesson in pure disappointment, courtesy of McDonald’s. Twelve dollars for a sad, flavorless sandwich. Five dollars for fries that tasted like they’d been reheated from yesterday. And despite the price tag, they still managed to forget the pickles I specifically asked for.

By the time the delivery arrived, the food was cold, the quality was embarrassing, and the value was nonexistent. Thirty‑six dollars for what amounted to a limp burger and a handful of fries is absurd on its own — but getting that level of mediocrity delivered to my door just made it sting even more.

This was a complete waste of money from start to finish. I won’t be giving McDonald’s another cent, and I’d strongly suggest anyone who values their wallet or their taste buds do the same.

Bit of a Let-Down this time

I’ve always liked popping into the McDonald’s in South Melbourne — it’s usually one of my favourite spots for a quick feed. But this visit really missed the mark.I asked for a fresh chicken sandwich and even said I was happy to wait, no drama at all. Instead, I got lukewarm fries and a chicken sandwich so old and dry I could hardly bite into it. The manager clearly couldn’t be bothered, acting like she was “waiting on the chicken” while handing over something that had obviously been sitting there for ages.Look, I’m not asking for anything wild — just the fresh food I actually ordered. I’ve worked in fast food myself, and making something fresh was never a hassle, especially when the customer specifically requested it.Pretty disappointing experience overall. I still like the South Melbourne store, but after this… yeah, not overly impressed.

Lazy manager

It's so irritating how lazy a manager can be. when I specifically ask if I can get my chicken sandwich fresh and that I will wait the time that is needed to get my chicken sandwich fresh but she gives me some what fresh frys and not a fresh chicken sandwich Like I specifically had ask for but instead makes Me wait cause she wanted to pretend like she was just wait for the chicken. This old mf sandwich is so old I can't even bite into it. I seriously hope she gets fired I've worked at fast food before and it never was a inconvenience if a paying customer wanted something fresh. If anything I would rather make the food fresh..

Called into McDonald's Unanderra

Called into McDonald's Unanderra
on November 16th, 2025, which is
owned & operated by the dewarte
family. I think they are responsible for the McDonald's monopoly game as they have a monopoly on the McDonald franchises in the illawarra.
Unfortunately that's all they have.
PROFITS BEFORE CUSTOMERS AND
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CLEARLY ON
DISPAY WHEN YOU ENTER A maccas
owned & operated by a dewarte
family member.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE & CARE IN
THIS franchise IS AWFUL.. however l
did notice two staff members enter
as "WE" THE CUSTOMERS WAITED
FOR OUR ORDERS. THE TWO EXTRA
STAFF HAD NO IMPACT ON OUR
WAITING TIME AT ALL. WELL DONE. IN ENDING.... WHEN I DID RECEIVE
MY COFFEE I FELT BAD, AS THOUGH I HAD FORCED HER TO SERVE ME.
THIS IS SUCH A BADLY OWNED & OPERATED BUSINESS. WELL DONE
dewarte family.
I HOPE THE OTHER 6 CUSTOMERS
THAT HAD TO ENDURE THE SAME
WAITING TIME AS I DID... FELT A
WARMER PRESENCE THEN I DID,
AT A GUESS... I DON'T THINK SO!!!!
to you, the dewarte family, be proud
of what you have & the money you're
making. 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

the disastrous experience I had with the McDonald's mobile app in Egypt.I am writing to warn consumers about…

I am writing to warn consumers about the disastrous experience I had with the McDonald's mobile app in Egypt. What should have been a simple family order turned into a deeply frustrating ordeal that ruined our evening.
The app's primary issue is a catastrophic bug: if any error occurs during checkout (like a payment issue or an item becoming unavailable), the app completely deletes your entire shopping cart. I had to rebuild a complex, customized order for my family from scratch multiple times. This is an unacceptable design flaw for any modern e-commerce platform.
When a vague error message reading "One or more products is/are temporarily unavailable" blocked my payment without specifying the item, I was forced to call customer service for help. The response was abysmal. The agent was dismissive and unhelpful, repeatedly stating, "That's just our system."
The supervisor was no better. To make matters worse, while I was on the phone with him trying to find a solution, the app deleted my cart again! The staff's attitude was unapologetic, defending the flawed system and showing zero empathy for the situation, which ended up deeply disappointing the children waiting for their meal.
This experience has severely shaken my trust in the McDonald's brand. If the company cannot handle basic technology and customer service, how can we trust it with the far more critical aspects of food quality and safety? This was a terrible experience, and I strongly advise against using their app in Egypt.

What happened, McDonalds? You used to be the GOAT of fast food. Not anymore.

Trying to get fresh fries at any location is like rolling the dice. Despite an average wait time of 15 minutes, you can expect your fries to be cold 90% of the time. And heaven forbid there's any sort of issue or discrepancy when ordering thru the app. If that happens, strap in for a stressful experience. If there's an issue with the app, the stores are powerless to do anything at all. Dealing with corporate is like pulling teeth.

vicious munchers and smelly indians

Immediately as i get out of my car, i get catcalled by a horde of schoolboys, it was around 12 so i assumed they skipped class. I run to the doors into maccas.

That's when i look around inside and see that maccas was full of 30–50-year-olds. I notice an old lady feeding her rabid looking dogs chicken nuggets and the tomatoes from her burger. (Let's call her Rabbid Rebecca), she looked to be around her late 40s, she had grey hair and warts along her arms. Next to her was a large obese white man attempting to shove almost four big macs into his fat jaw. (Lets call him Bigback Brendon)

In the corner of the restaurant i notice a young woman that was looking after around 6-7 kids, they were all munching on their food so viciously it looked like a massacre. The lady was tired, face down on the table where the splatter from the children's food lands on her.

All the machines that took orders were broken, as if they were hit by bats, i go up to the long line Infront of the counter, it takes around 10 minutes before i get to place my order, and by the time i get there the worker goes on break, i wait for 5 minutes for another worker to take my order, and to my surprise, a 30 year old, smelly Indian walks up and says, "Canna teke or aura?" i was like "What?", "Canna Tek A Aura?", i was like okay you've got to be joshing me. I wait for 15 minutes to place my order just to not understand the stinky Indian across from me that i can smell over the counter? All i say is "Happy meal", she says "Yeah? teke tok un bak yek?" i say okay what the actual ####, She just says 'Yeah yeah yeah", i leave and go sit by the fat guy trying to horde as much food as he can into his chubby lips. All i can yeah is the squelching and muttering coming from him, he reeked of BO and i scooched further and further away from him, all of a sudden i see him putting on pink, cat eared, small, headphones he can barely fit on his head. I point my attention away to the playground that had been infested by the children, i look over to the tired lady that was looking after her, shes now on the floor, sleeping. I walk over and try to wake her up, but shes out.

I notice the schoolboys outside come in, they tease Rabid Rebbecas dogs, seconds later the dogs are taking large bites out of the boys, seconds later the dogs are running away from the morbidly obese bigback trying to eat them, after he somehow finds a way to shove them down his throat he walks out. On the way out he gets hit by a truck carrying candy, the truck crashes leaving all the candy scattered inside the maccas. Thats when all the kids come inside and start tearing up all the candy, the smelly indian finally comes out with my order and i run out.

Crazy experience, do not suggest, food was good tho!

There was hair in my food🤮

Bought food but never got them. Nu sodas they were just thrown in the bag, so the cola spilled all over my food. When I finally went to eat my Big Mac, there was a hair in it — gross! And I only got half of my order.

Paid $6 For A Short Black

I went to the Spencer street McDonald's store to order breakfast. I ordered griddle cakes with syrup and butter and a short black coffee. I needed to pay extra for the syrup and butter. It took some time for my coffee to arrive. I had to drink before it got cold while I waited for my food to arrive. I noticed customers who had ordered later were getting their orders while I continued to wait.
After I had waited about half an hour then I asked at the counter what was happening. I was told that were busy. I waited another few minutes and requested a refund. It was obvious that my order had been missed. Their appeared to be no one making sure that the orders were made.
I was given my refund but it was only for the griddle cakes and not the extras I ordered with them.
I complained to McDonalds in writing but they were not able help me I hadn't downloaded their app. They require that you download to play their Monopoly competition. I choose not to download any apps to my phone. My decision is vindicated because McDonalds have hacked recently.
I have been informed that my complaint will be forwarded to the store.
I have just been informed that they too reliant on technology. Technology can go down.
I went to Hungry Jacks across the road and was able to get my breakfast promptly.
