Just ordered a mains power chord and it has made a real positive difference to the sound of my amplifier, improved wider soundstage etc

So good in fact I bought another for my turntable, they just look and feel top quality, with excellent shielding / quality components and cable, the sound goes to prove it

I have the MCRU mains power chord connected via a DC blocker for extra added benefit

Very good customer services and prompt reply to my questions 10/10

My experience was as follows:

Hello David,
I've got a bit of a problem with the Furutech mains plug end of the no
75 cable I received a couple of days ago.
It all looked fine but I had great difficulty plugging it into my mains block.
I've had no problem with the other no 75 I bought from you a few years ago.

I tried several different sockets on that block and then attempted using
my other brand new block and still had the same problem.

Eventually,after a lot of brute force it went in but I was concerned I
might damage the new block in the process and now am reluctant to ever
unplug it in case something gets damaged.

One of the three pins did look as if it might be very slightly askew on inspection and I'm wondering whether this can be resolved without returning it to you.
I don't want to go ahead and open it up thus voiding the warranty.

Can you advise please?

That was it so far as he is concerned.
No admission of responsibility, let alone an apology, for sending a faulty item.
No offer of an immediate replacement,just an arrogant response that implies I have no right to assume I can change leads around as and when I require without fear of damaging my brand new power block.

I am unfortunately forced to leave this man one star.
Nothing to add that hasn't already been said by many others.......

Wrote a genuine question about the plug being made to BS standards and whether it was approved. They delete my comment.

I assume based on their actions it is as I feared, over priced and undersigned but it looks good.

They did send me wrong item. I've been emailing them multiple times for the past week without any solution. Luckily nothing expensive. Still very annoying.
Non existent customer service.

I have placed many orders with MCRU over the years and have always received helpful advice and good service. Recently I had a failure of a major component (through no fault of theirs). I contacted MCRU (David), and within a couple of hours he had arranged for the faulty unit to be collected from me and a new one to be shipped. Exceptional service, what more could you ask for.

I've seen some of the comments on here. My experience has been exemplary. I called for some advise, after being somewhat overwhelmed by choice on the website. I got a very friendly non pushy help and recommendations. I placed my order the next day after a measure up, then received my order a couple of days later. The product ( several No. 75 mains cables) are very nicely put together, and wow I am surprised at the extent of the improvement from my previous standard cables. So far I am nothing short of impressed!

Horrible owner, David Brook. Rude, disingenuous, pretends to offer incentive points then adds conditions that prohibit you from using them when you want. Slow delivery without explanation. Try the competition, better products available at lower prices from them. If you want MCRU power supplies, order from Longdogaudio directly.

I've placed several orders with MCRU over the years, Mostly excellent.

The last few orders have been a bit disappointing. An incorrectly wired DC cable, that could have damaged my equipment - felt that David Brooks just shrugged his shoulders.

Last order was for a 3A mains fuse. He sent a 13A, when questioned I got the 'lesson' that what I really wanted was a 13A. After spending 5 years studying electrical engineering, I'll be the judge of what I want.

3A gold fuse sent as replacement was obviously used, filthy end caps, scoring on the metal. By the time it was cleaned up the end caps were almost free of any plating. So, I paid for gold that I had to polish off myself. Great bargain.

This is where MCRU and myself part company. I will settle up for the not really gold fuse and mark it down as a life lesson.

I would have placed a lot more orders down the line, so the only side losing out is MCRU. Plenty of other vendors will take my money.

I will review MCRU website. The site is easy to navigate and has many varied products etc. But the prices are excessive. Mains cables at £600 + with Furutech type plugs etc. I have purchased similar quality or better for £44 each. I have purchased cable per meter same brand for £11 that cost £36 on his site. Couple this with customer comments about his attitude especially when he makes so much profit and I will be avoiding this smuck!! China is the place for bargains and the sellers r polite. Thank you.

David has been exceedingly polite, professional and accommodating of my request to have built an improved power supply for my phono-stage.

I initially contacted MCRU on 01-03-21. Today, on 10-03-21, I am in possession of a fantastic addition to my system.

I am not eloquent enough to 'wax-lyrical' about the vast improvements in sound quality, so I will say that my experience with David and MCRU has been very positive.

David provided a high-quality product, to my specifications, at a very reasonable cost and in a very short time after my initial enquiry.

I would thoroughly recommend this company.

Ordered 6 fuses which shipping cost was £6.95.
I inquired as to why cost so high and given an abrupt reply that they use a courier that costs them £8.

Hi ordered through amazon amr gold 5 amp fuse from mcru.
Amazon advert shows a picture of a box of 3 but you receive 1 . But you do get a box and a note saying 1 fuse only.
The fuse is for internal applications , and not for a 3 pin mains plug as I thought . So £20 down , so you get 1 fuse also small size of product will not fit a mains plug its too small.
This is misleading buyer be aware
