Worst experience. Customer service is trash. Their number for denmark is not functional so i had to call the number for Lebanon racking up a big phone bill and i didn't even get in touch with anyone. I wanted to rebook my flight. Fine they said just pay a rebooking fee of 50 dollars. Then they send me a link to 400 dollars and wont do anything about it.

MEA Airlines has always been our favorite airlines, but due to our last experience, we have lost trust in their food service.
On our flight back to Copenhagen from Beirut, flight nr. ME2025, July 26, 2024, my daughter and I were infected with Norovirus after eating one of their meals.
It really makes me sad to be writing this review as I am a proud Lebanese, but I cannot accept any negligence or carelessness.
MEA Airlines should take people’s health more seriously by enhancing food inspection and promoting the MEA airlines to rank highest.

Disappointing Experience With Middle East Airlines
As a frequent traveler, I've had my fair share of experiences with various airlines, but my recent encounter with Middle East Airlines (MEA) left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated although i am a cedar miles frequent traveler as well.
First and foremost, the lack of reliability in MEA's flight schedules is alarming. Despite booking my flights well in advance, I found myself at the mercy of frequent and abrupt changes in the itinerary. The excuse of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East region is simply not acceptable, especially when other airlines seem to operate smoothly without such disruptions. This incident happened to me and my family during Christmas holidays, it affected our travel plans and it happened again now for our upcoming summer flight.
What's even more infuriating is MEA's complete disregard for the inconvenience caused to passengers (especially with regards to prior connecting flights that will be disrupted due to this change) . Not only was I not offered any compensation for the disruption to my travel plans, but MEA also failed to provide any alternative flight options to accommodate my schedule. It's outrageous to expect passengers to bear the brunt of MEA's incompetence without any form of recourse. (Bearing in mind that i am travelling with my family of 3 young kids)
Furthermore, the dismissive attitude displayed by MEA's customer service representatives only added insult to injury. Instead of acknowledging the issue and working towards a solution, I was met with generic responses that offered little to no assistance. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for MEA.
In light of this experience, I can no longer trust MEA as a reliable airline option. The lack of transparency, consistency, and accountability displayed by MEA has shattered any confidence I had in their services. I urge fellow travelers to think twice before considering MEA for their future travel plans, as the risk of encountering similar issues is simply not worth it.
MEA has failed miserably in meeting the basic expectations of a reputable airline.

Truly poor customer service that only focuses on profit and primarily thinks about how they can exploit their passengers after they have bought a ticket. They don't respond at all or only after a week.
They advertise that you can buy extra baggage online, which normally costs 100 euros.
But you can't do that, and they inform you that extra baggage can only be ordered at the airport for 150 euros.
A corrupt airline. At a high level, they aim to exploit and suck money from customers.
Stay away from this terrible company.

It was horrible! I was wated for more then 15 hours and then they told us that the flight delay for five more hours. I think this is just unacceptable. We were in dubai so it was comfortable to wayt in the airport but I missed my beirut bus because of this and i already preorder my tickets.
A Horrific Experience with No Professionalismed with Middle East…
I recently traveled with Middle East Airlines on flight ME 430 from Beirut to Dubai on 2023-08-21 at 9 pm. I am compelled to share the dreadful experience I endured at the hands of the crew, particularly the head of the crew.
I was recovering from a recent operation and was on medication, including antibiotics and melatonin, to help me sleep during the flight. The circumstances of my health made it imperative that I remain undisturbed throughout the flight, so I reclined my seat and settled in for rest.
Despite my condition, I was abruptly awakened by a flight attendant and subsequently harassed to straighten my seat at the request of the passenger behind me. Despite the seats being engineered to allow for meal consumption regardless of reclination, I was pestered multiple times, with the situation escalating in a completely unprofessional manner.
The head of the crew was not only invasive and disrespectful but publicly insulted and shouted at me. He refused to provide his name when I expressed my intention to file a complaint, further demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism.
I was deeply shaken by the incident, unable to return to sleep, and found the entire situation to be utterly humiliating. The crew's conduct was not befitting of professional airline personnel, and the head of the crew's behavior resembled a street brawl rather than a professional interaction with a passenger.
I strongly urge potential travelers to reconsider booking with Middle East Airlines, given the appalling treatment I received. As someone who needed compassion and understanding due to my medical condition, I was met with hostility, intimidation, and public degradation.
I am now left with no option but to seek legal remedies and press charges for the severe emotional distress this incident has caused me. I hope that Middle East Airlines takes immediate action to rectify this situation, ensuring that no passenger has to endure such a traumatic experience in the future.

My kids were crying and people were looking, the flight attendants kept coming up and telling me to make my kids stop crying and I was trying to do that and I was frustrated with the 38 minute delay, I raised my voice and said “The plane doesnt need this much delay”, the flight attendant came and raised her hand in my face and said lower your voice or I will kick you off the flight, then she said you will see what I’m going to do and she went to the captain I don’t know what she told him, then she got security and said you either apologize or get off, and I didn’t want to, and the flight attendant standing in the back was doing with her hand “get off”.
After I was off the plane, the flight attendant came to my brother to write a letter in English that’s not %100 true.
Worst Airline, no one should go on it, the Captain and the crew was terrible, they just listened to what the flight attendant said and not the passengers side.

كان أطفالي يبكون والناس ينظرون ، واستمر المضيفون في القدوم ويخبرونني أن أجعل أطفالي يتوقفون عن البكاء وكنت أحاول فعل ذلك وشعرت بالإحباط بسبب التأخير البالغ 38 دقيقة ، فرفعت صوتي وقلت "الطائرة لا تحتاج إلى هذا التأخير كثيرًا "، جاءت المضيفة ورفعت يدها في وجهي وقالت أخفض صوتك وإلا سأركلك من الرحلة ، ثم قالت إنك سترى ما سأفعله وذهبت إلى الكابتن لا أعرف ما قالته له ، ثم حصلت على الأمن وقالت إنك إما تعتذر أو تنزل ، ولم أرغب في ذلك ، والمضيفة التي تقف في الخلف كانت تفعل بيدها "انزل".
بعد أن كنت خارج الطائرة ، جاءت المضيفة إلى أخي لكتابة خطاب باللغة الإنجليزية ليس 100٪ صحيحًا.
أسوأ شركة طيران ، لا ينبغي لأحد أن يركبها ، كان الكابتن والطاقم سيئًا ، لقد استمعوا فقط إلى ما قالته المضيفة وليس جانب الركاب.
No consideration for young children
They did not give me a seat next to my wife and 4.5yr daughter despite my request to the flight incharge at the checkin counter. My daughter is very upset. This is my first experience with MEA and would be my last.

First time we take this airline from…
First time we take this airline from London, brand new planes and amazing food. On the way back our 4 year old daughter left her panda bear bag on the plane. A lovely staff member called us up the next day to tell us it is being held at their offices. The bag had little value but meant the world to our daughter. Anese from MEA brought the bag out of the airport and agreed to meet us on his route home to avoid the hassle of coming to the airport. Couldn’t rate them more , very impressed and suprised by the quality of the service and this airline in general.

Disgraceful airline
MEA has to be one THE worst airline on the planet! flight attendances are nasty and got horrible attitude, check-in staff has no idea what they're doing and waste people time by adding unnecessary checks so they can extort money from vulnerable passengers, we were jammed packed like sardines on the flight and the plane was ancient, meal provided on the flight was more like dog food. This was an eye opening experience and I will never ever travel with MEA again!
If you want be put off from flying for life just try & experience Beirut Airport and MEA airline!

The WORST ever!!!!!!! They did not allow my mother to check in unless she buys a return ticket from their airlines paying for it cash (500 EUR). My mother had already a return ticket from another airline. In addition to the stress that caused her and deceiving treatment…. Me, my husband and my brothers who all fly very frequently from Lebanon would never fly with them ever again…

Amazing! Online check in was the best I had ever seen. Filled with profession and easiness. They would always notify me on my phone in case something changes e.g gate number etc.

It's the worst airplane company ever. They discriminate people, on board the plane. They have no sense of respect at all. and are very rude to the passengers. I had paid for a business ticket, but it was not worth the money at all. You'll get greeted by very unprofessional employees. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER. And its inside Beirut's airport and also before boarding the plane. I would never recommend flying with MEA. It is a shame that I, as a Lebanese, am embarrassed by how MEA represents Lebanon. If you would like to be ripped off, then this is the place to go. These are just crooks. I made the mistake to book with them after 20 years of boycott, just because British Airways stopped flying direct to Beirut because of Covid. It will now take 200 years before even thinking using them again!
