Our Open MRI scanners are beneficial to all patients who suffer with claustrophobia and have a fear of conventional, tunnel MRI systems. We accept referrals from both healthcare professionals and self-referrals. Payment by private health insurance, self-pay and NHS authorised funding are all accepted. We specialise in providing private MRI scans of the brain, spine, joints and pelvic region. Our Upright MRI system is unique in that it can image the whole spine, including the craniocervical junction (CCJ) in an upright position. In addition, our variPOSE™ technique (varying the pose through flexion, extension and rotation for the scan) allows us to thoroughly assess the effects of gravity and posture on joints and soft tissue. Established in 2011, Medserena currently has 2 UK MRI centres in London and Manchester.

We completely understand that this is a large expense - however, Open MRI scanning does cost more than conventional 'tunnel' scanning, due to the specialised nature of the equipment and techniques used.

Fantastic Place
This place is brilliant. The staff are polite and friendly and then totally knowledgeable about their jobs. They put me at ease straight away. Nothing was too much trouble for them to get the imaging they needed and to make sure I was comfortable throughout.

Viewing only and my husband was so impressed
we arrived to see if my husband could tolerate the scanner bearing in mind the scanner was switched off
so he could view without it being on. DAVID was very reassuring and my husband decided he could do it. so David agreed to switch the scanner on and do the scan
there and then which was excellent, we had travelled quite a distance so I think David was taking that into consideration. all in all is was a positive experience and thankyou to MEDSERENA

On arrival the receptionists were welcoming.
Becky who did the Scan made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.
All staff I encountered made me feel comfortable and I was no longer nervous.
