Mercer Carpet One Floor & Home Reviews 

This was our third experience with Mercer. Everyone from sales to installation was friendly, professional and thorough when completing the job. That is why in several years we returned to carpet 2 homes and my mothers. Highly recommend the company.

Jeff, at the Mercer One Store in Ellicott City, was prompt, thorough, accommodating and provided EXCELLENT customer service. His knowledge of the products, and what would suit our specific needs (we have dogs), as well as his respect for our budget, were exemplary . Highly recommend this store and this employee. Stellar experience for us from choosing Mercer to finalizing our choice and then accommodating a rush order to complete the install before the New Year. Even the carpet installers were terrific.

This experience was horrible. I wanted to use a local business instead of giving the big names my business, but I would have been better off going to Home Depot or Lowes. I have definitely learned my lesson. The experience started with Jim (Sales person), we signed the contract in July and I was doing my entire house, my mom was also with me and she told Jim that if everything went well with my house then she was going to replace her entire house and she would be using them as well. I paid half of the bill in July and was told that I would be contacted with my install date soon. I contacted my sales person Jim numerous times and was told that it would be soon, I had to call the store at the end of August to find out when my install date was. Jim never once picked up the phone he hid behind emails and text message, which is extremely unprofessional. The store told me that the reason why it was taking so long was because one their installers was in a accident and was taking time to recover, well it would have been nice to know that information. Jim also changed my flooring in the middle of the experience, he said he did because it was a better quality I know that he did because he did not order the right floor to begin with! ( I am in sales and understand how this works). Jim also changed one of my install dates without even asking me and thought he was doing me a favor and then he could not change it back to the original date which then caused even more of delay in the install. When the installer finally came to my house to do the first phase of the work, the installer had no idea what they were doing on the first day. I had to tell them that they were supposed to be putting all 4 bathroom's in, they also pulled up my foyer flooring and almost laid the wrong flooring down, because they no instructions from the floors. Once the flooring was completely done, I realized that the flooring in my basement bathroom was starting to come up and there was water everywhere. Kevin from the store told me that the leak was my fault that his plumber did not do anything wrong that he wanted his money before he fixed anything, and that I was going to have to pay for the leak. I told him I would get my own plumber to look at, and that there was never a leak before his plumber went in and removed and installed the toilet back to the floor. Kevin was very rude and told me that the store would take me to court over the money I owed him and that I would have to pay to him before anything was fixed. I hired a plumber and the plumber I hired told me that the plumber that put the toilet back in did not re seal the wax ring when he put the toilet back. So in the end it was the stores fault. This experience started in July was not complete until November. My mom will not be using Mercers, and I have told all of my realtor friends to not sue this business. The owner and all members of this team are rude and extremely unprofessional and only after getting money, they are not in the business of customer service at all.

They did everything possible to accommodate us while buying another home and trying to renovate this home. Very helpful!!!!!!

Sales person was helpful and knew the product line. Installers were great and curtious. Getting a firm installation date was a challenge.

Catlyn offered her help when we entered Mercer's EC store. She was happy to help and took us through our options in a few hours. She arrived at house to do measurements at appointed time. Installers were very accommodating and did an excellent job with installation.

We have turned to Mercer twice, first in readying our former house for sale and most recently in upgrading our new house. Completely satisfied on both occasions. Would turn to them a 3rd time without hesitation.

We selected Mercer because of the positive online reviews, and we were not disappointed. We told Sheri what we wanted, and she suggested several carpets from which to select. She was very helpful and has a friendly personality. The installers arrived on time and did a wonderful job. We are very pleased with the carpet, and it looks great. You will not regret using Mercer Carpet One Floor & Home.

Time was scheduled verbally "first installation of the morning"! I took off only 1/2 day from work based on the amount of work that needed to be done, however, the installers did not arrive until 10:00. I wish I had known ahead of time so I could have planned better! This was my second experience with Mercer and both times the overall experience was GREAT!

Absolutely love this place! From our Sales person, Kaitlyn, to the installers we have never been anything but pleased. They are our go to flooring specialists.

We are very pleased with our new kitchen floor and new entryway. Replacing the old floor covering has made a world of difference.
Matt was very knowledgable and helped us choose the new flooring. Kevin and the installers did excellent work and showed great skill renovating our floors. Will recommend Mercer to anyone needing a new floor.

Mercer Carpet One installed our new wood floors on the first floor last year and did a fantastic job! This summer we completed our projects with new carpet on the second floor and love the results! Great job, Mercer Carpet One!

We were given expert advice by Katlin on our selection of hardwood and carpet.
The installation was completed on time with the dates we agreed upon.
Katlin updated us regularly on the progress of the installation.
The installer of the hardwood (Chris) did an excellent job, as well as Dave who installed the carpet.
Katlin, Chris and Dave were easy to deal with. They guided us and advised us on the work that was done. also educated us on proper maintenance.
Our hardwood floor and carpet look beautiful!!!
