Arrived on time, very professional, took time and appreciation keep everywhere clean and tidy. Had my old shower replaced with a new one looks brilliant against my white tiles.
I can not praise Martin enough for his patience and perseverance, I had my shower cubicle and tray replaced, after a delay when the tray arrived cracked, when the new one arrived the following week, Martin arrived at 7.30am to complete the job, but a problem with some original piping occured. Martin arrived each day and did not give up until he resolved the problem, so a 2 day job turned into a 2 week job! But thanks to Martin It is now all complete . He is a credit to the company, and the reason i give 5 star. I dealt with the swaffham branch who were, polite, helpful and friendly.
MG Building & Maintenance recently opened a High St shop in Swaffham. We popped in just to make tentative enquiries about having our garage and study converted into an adapted bedroom and wetroom. [We have a 3-year old Abel Homes 'Orion' style house]
Mark Gilboy, the owner, happened to be there and we booked a home visit. Everything afterwards was stress-free. Mark's home visit provided 3 options, each with a price. We agreed specifications for all 5 affected rooms (bedroom, wetroom, enlarged hall, mini-garage, and kitchen-diner) and a timescale of around 8 weeks. We chose an option that didn't require planning permission but did need Building Control on some elements. MGBM handled all the admin and paperwork.
In all, over a period of 9.5 weeks we had a variety of their own tradesmen (no sub-contractors!) who worked very hard from 7.30am to 4pm daily with only 30min lunch break. They were supervised by a very efficient Project Manager who ensured that the right trades attended on the right days with the right materials. He attended daily to keep us informed of the project's progress. I kept a close (retired policeman's) eye on all their work but there was no need to worry as their work was immaculate, and they were all very nice conscientious fellas. Mess, although inevitable, was kept to a minimum and removed from site daily (so no skip).Today, the Building Control Inspector has attended to 'sign-off' the project.
My wife and I are so impressed we have re-contracted MGBM to repaint the remaining 5 rooms, landing & stairs.
Very happy to recommend.
230 volts through a shower seat!!
Helen has Parkinson’s , MG Building maintenance charged her £7103.81 for replacing her bath with a shower, the metal seat in the shower was bolted through the wall and through the live cable. The fault wasn’t discovered till months later when Helen needed the support of the chair.. but touched it by hand first and the problem investigated and found 230 volts through the chair,‘Jermy and Co’ stated . ‘ myself and other tradesmen that investigated this job have many years experience yet have never seen such a serious error made this could have been detrimental to Mrs Hunters Life, this was a life threatening hazard’
MG Building maintenance of Kings Lynn were notified with several registered letters from Helen about the dangerous workmanship and they agreed to pay the £2300 within 30 days ( as of 5th November 2024) to rectify the job.. as yet the money has never arrived …
