Midland Central Heating boiler installation…

Midland Central Heating installed a new Worcester Bosch Life 8000 boiler and heating pack on 3rd March 2021at my home
The quotation was accepted and within a week the boiler was fitted in one day. The whole process from survey to installing was carried out professionaly and with minimum disruption, I would recommend Midland Central Heating and use them again

A professional and friendly company…

A professional and friendly company from first contact after booking our appointment all the information given to us was so help and gave us the peace of mind that we had chosen the right company to do the job day of insulation two polite and professional installation men came an I wouldn’t have know they where there left no mess and gave a introduction to how we work the system I would recommend midland central heating to anyone wishing to purchase a new boiler

5 star service every time

We would not hesitate to recommend Rob and the team at Midland Central Heating. After having a new boiler fitted in our home a few years ago we were so pleased with the workmanship that we recommended them to family.
We then also needed a new boiler and central heating system at another property and Rob arranged this with a very short lead time to the same exceptional standard as before.
Not only would we not hesitate to recommend them to others but also equally importantly return to them time and again for any additional works. This we believe is testament to the great work that they do. The lads are always exceptionally pleasant and a pleasure to have in your home. Keep up the great work!

Appalling after care

I am writing this review as I was absolutely appalled by the after-care service my mother was given , she’s over 75 years old living alone and has used this company for three years. Midland central heating installed her boiler system and have maintained a service for her until things went very wrong on Friday evening, she phoned the telephone number which was on the answer machine message saying to phone Rob if it was an emergency, mum called the number at 9:30 pm on Friday evening an evening that registered a -5 degree temperature, she was worried she had no heating or hot water. Rob who happens to be one of the company directors was verbally abusive on the telephone to her it made her very poorly and upset her terribly. Rob was so abusive to my mum she ended up having to terminate the call, luckily a friend of hers gave her a telephone number of someone to help her out in the emergency situation she had found herself in. The young gentleman came out the very next morning and rectified the problem, it took him two days but has now completed the service coming back on Sunday afternoon at 4:30 pm to check that everything was running well. Rob never called my mother back after reporting the emergency to him so therefore as far as he is concerned she had been left without any heating or hot water for a whole weekend knowing full well that the boiler had been installed by his company.
Apparently after sitting down with my very upset mother she explained it wasn’t the first time she had had a problem with them they tried to charge simply to get information of how to use the thermostat that had been installed with the boiler, as I said before my mum is over 75 and my father at the time was in his 80s they do need a little bit of help with these more up-to-date modern thermostats and to pay or to be charged £85 just to be given information is disgusting.
I would not recommend this company for their after-care unless it is between Monday to Friday when they would normally be working as this reaction was totally unprovoked and uncalled for.
She simply made an emergency telephone call over the weekend, expecting the service engineer to help her out, but obviously they want to install expensive boilers and charge you extortionate prices for advice, and then give dreadful after-care when you experience an emergency.
After reading the reply to my review yes mum does have daughters, but they do not live near to her, therefore when my mum called me and explained how rude you were to her on the telephone and how upset she was after your abrupt reactions it was important that I wrote this review. Business can be very trying at times, however a customer should be valued and treated with empathy, perhaps if you are not able to provide an emergency service due to your work load you shouldn’t put it on your answer service.

Thank you for your review. To clarify when I received the phone call from your Mum Mrs Fisher, I was woken up and startled just after 9.30pm. That day I’d had a very early start and I was totally exhausted. Your Mum said this was an emergency and felt that 9.30 was early to call and I shouldn’t put my number on the answer phone if I didn’t want receive phone calls. Your Mum then explained that her boiler wasn’t working and she couldn’t get into the loft herself to reset the boiler or check the fault and needed help ASAP as there was no family. I never knew that your Mum had a Daughter to help her as this might of made it easier having family on hand to help. Unfortunately your Mum has no on monthly maintenance contract with us and even though I tried to explain that this was a national issue as so many boilers across the country were having external condense pipes freeze and it was impossible for me to come out that evening your Mum hung up the phone. I did CALL back within 10 minutes and spoke to her neighbour and explained to him how to reset the boiler. This particular weekend we’d had hundreds of phone calls due to iced condense / external pipes, in fact many thousands across the country were having the same issues and we just hadn’t got enough free help and time to work with everyone. We have never charged a customer for advise only, but only if we have to send out engineers on customers consent, which happened several times with Mrs Fisher before and unfortunately our business has call out charges like most credible businesses we have general running costs which include engineers labour times which unfortunately are not free. If a customer doesn’t want to pay a call out charge then we understand as we only do charge on their instruction, and always give free advise over the phone. If I came across as being rude that evening then I do apologise as it was out of character for me. I did however communicate back within ten minutes that same evening and explained to both her and a neighbour a possible quick fix that they could try to help the situation. I guess its always frustrating when it’s cold and with the weather causing so many problems for thousands of others including my own family too it’s so difficult to serve everybody. I can assure you and your Mum that I was not being rude by not calling her back over the weekend as I was constantly on the phone serving many other customers all having similar issues. It wasn’t personal, it was purely because I had a constant flow of customers calling asking for advice that weekend. I hope Mrs Fisher has now sorted the problem and I wish her all the best in the future with her heating system.

Highly recommended!

My boiler finally give up the ghost on one of the coldest weeks in years, no hot water and heating. Rob managed to spare some time to see me and quote me a replacement.
In less than 24hrs they fitted me a new boiler, top rate business and very genuine nice people, I would highly recommend. Cheers guys AA*

A very pleasant experience.

Reliable ,quick and efficient. Boiler fitted in a morning and all mess cleaned up and taken away. Staff were polite and worked within the present guidelines. Highly recommended.

Professional, courteous and reasonably priced

Our kitchen fitter recommended Midland when our central heating failed. Responded quickly and were professional and courteous, explaining everything clearly. Provided a reasonable quote. Booked them in and they did an excellent job - again, professional, courteous, friendly, followed Covid guidelines and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them.

Boiler Install (Great Team)

From the start of the process of finding a new boiler Midland Central Heating kept me well informed, arrived on time and were always very respectful and courteous.
The engineers fitting to boiler have done a great job on the install, completed all checks and showed me the how to operate the boiler. They then explained the guarantee process which I have now received.
Great team would highly recommend

Had my boiler serviced.

Had my boiler serviced today, glad I did! The engineer found that the boiler was giving off CO at over 20 times the safe limit. The engineer was friendly, helpful and very professional throughout.
It's the first time I've used the company and it won't be the last!
Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant. Explained the correct size of boiler for the number of radiators. Fitting team were second to non, and dealt with unexpected hiccups wonderfully well. No hesitation in recommending them to anyone. A wonderfully professional service

This is the second installation we have had

Second time installation with Midland Central Heating Ltd installation procedure was fully explained to us by the owner of the company. The engineers arrived on time and were polite,courteous and extremely clean and tidy a credit to the Company.. They were respectful to our property and did a very clean and tidy job We would highly recommend this company and are very pleased with our new Worcester Bosch Greenstar Boiler. Overall i would recommend them to anyone. Plus side very competitive price and 10 year Warranty who could ask for more

Excellent job.

Had a boiler fitted,engineers did an excellent job.Had some prolems with my system but it was sorted and now have heating and hot water on tap.They went over and beyond to get it running.I cant thank them enough, punctual,clean did a great job.Would recommend to anyone.Well done.

Just fitted a new boiler after old one packed in. Have been using. This company for last 7 years so can highly recommend. Staff were professional especially aware of our needs during these lockdown times.
