very rude person on chat

very rude person on chat, and delivery would have been late had I not complained that it had not been dispatched yet. Would I go there again? unlikely.

DO NOT USE MIDSHIRES ELECTRICAL

Absolutely abysmal service, which is rich coming from their Mission Statement and I quote "to deliver quality service that goes above and beyond".
Well you failed in my case and judging by some reviews, this appears to be a frequent occurrence. The male I spoke with suggested that I was a liar, because he believed the information provided by DPD. Despite the fact that I have CCTV in operation 24 hours a day recording and no such delivery or attempted delivery was made. I had to pay the electrician off, as he was unable to install the lights. At no time did the very condescending William/Will try to apologise, but he did put the phone down on my wife, claiming that my wife was shouting at him. This was not the case, she raised her voice because we were hands-free in our car.
Will, went on to say " What do you expect, you got free delivery " Despite the fact we did pay £10 delivery. This was paid despite the company boasting free delivery in the UK, well our shipping address was in Northern Ireland, which is in fact in the UK ! I must say many companies hide this within good old Terms & Conditions.
This undesirables condescending attitude could do with a long lesson in customer services.
Then asked What did I expect him to do about it, it's not his fault, it was the manufacturer's Searchlights, or maybe DPD. William /Will suggested that he was speaking to Searchlight and was awaiting for them to come back later that day. When in fact this lady from Searchlight had gone home at lunchtime.
We did speak to Searchlight who were really helpful and apologetic and actually quite disappointed that their company name had been brought into this.

Hi Steve,

Apologies that you have had this service, I have looked into this and can see from the DPD tracking number of your Searchlight delivery they were unable to deliver your parcel for unknown reasons.
My colleague William looked into this with the manufacture Searchlight who sent the parcel, the point you called and had a heated discussion William he was still awaiting a call back from the lady at Searchlight so only knew as much as you did from looking at the tracking.
As searchlight was later unable to determine the reason why the parcel wasn't delivered we couldn't find this information out from the courier directly as we are not the account holder.
We offered to send a replacement once back however you refused and wanted a refund which was processed immediately.

Not great

After placing the order I received an email to my junk folder saying sorry we cant send your item - we had listed it at the wrong price and can i pay extra. Obviously by the time i had found this email it was a week later, the part was a desk grommet that I had already sent the dimensions out to my stone fabricator so I had no choice other than to pay the extra because the cut out had been made. Nobody on the phones seemed to care about the urgency behind my project deadline - wouldn't recommend.

Straightforward transaction

Ordered an led bathroom light fitting which arrived promptly and in good shape. The transaction on the Midshires website was straightforward. I would use them again.

Web Chat Enables Super Fast Buying Decision

Seamless.

A seamless experience. From the registering to the fast delivery.
I had not used this company before and am usually cautious and sceptical.
However this was the easiest purchase I have made. Long may this standard continue.

Apologies for this, the only reason Searchlight did not ship your order out was they didn't receive our email so this was out of our hands. Once you notified us the order was not received they shipped the order for delivery the next working day.
