I have a twindos washing machine.
Some weeks ago i tried to buy the detergent cartridges. There appeared to be something wrong with the website. and I couldn't purchase any. I wrote to customer services, they have still not replied.
Tried again to buy some, as I am now really running low, I now discover that 'due to unforeseen demand, the product is not in stock'. Which is probably why I couldn't buy any weeks ago. What incredibly poor service. How can they run out of stock on such a core product.
I wish someone else manufactured the cartridges and then I wouldn't have to buy from Miele.
The moral of this story is don't buy anything from Miele.

Miele....a name and brand you can trust with a cutomer care team to to match its superb products!
I have TWO mile vacuum cleaners...both red...S211 AND C1 cats and dogs pet hair...both have never let me down no matter what the task!
Miele make quality vacuum cleaners that their rivals cannot match based on my experience!
I have had Dysons/Vax/Panasonic/Shark...all decent enough quality and performed ok (but needed more maintenance than the Mieles)!
The Miele suction on both the S211 AND C1 is just superb...even when bags are full/filters dirty...these Mieles still do not lose suction unlike the others I have mentioned!!!
Superb products that leave their rivals gathering dust in the loft (like mine are now)!
Would only ever buy Miele vacuum cleaners again...my tip is to change filters and bags regularly (Mieles own ones are best)...and these machines will last forever!
Mieles customer care team also match the quality of their products....just been talking to a lovely young lady from Miele (Kathryn) who was polite/helpful and a credit to Miele ...so not only are their vacuum cleaners superb and a class above many of their rivals....their staff members and customer care team are in my experience second to none too!(Kathryn)!
If you want a quality vacuum cleaner that will last ....Miele is the name you can trust...and if you want to deal with a company that looks after their customers then Miele won't let you down!
recently purchased a vacuum cleaner which is excellent and very well made.
However,I had a query regarding the length of the guarantee and had to ring customer service ( should have said NO customer service )
The response from them was abrasive ,rude and downright unhelpful.
I eventually ratified the matter by e mailing the CEO of Meile UK directly and raising my concerns with him.
If this level of customer service continues, then this is the last appliance of theirs I will purchase
Having invested in a 'quality' brand I expected great things of my Miele Twin Dos washing machine, trouble is Miele cant supply replacement detergent cartridges. My current order has now been promised to be dispatched on the 4th of February, I ordered on the 5th of December. my previous order took 5 weeks to deliver, Customer service offer no explanation - just reiterate due date, this is simply unacceptable. buy a Samsung instead - I wish I had!
Useless customer service, technicians not showing up, Miele in the UK is a disaster: why are the Brits so useless and disorganised, I wonder. This is not passing muster, especially when you are representing a German brand like Miele! Really crap service and after-sales services
We bought a Miele washing machine it cost nearly £1150 pounds and we would describe it as very average at best.We gave Miele a second chance when we bought a vacuum cleaner Dynamic Allergy U1 because of the reviews. When we first used the product two small plastic fittings on the underside kept falling out so we super glued them back in place and this appears to have resolved the issue.just after two years the suction hose near the handle split and we couldn`t believe it .Over £100 pounds to replace. Our previous Dyson was over nine years old and still working well but because of the age we decided to replace .As far as I`m concerned I would not rate Miele that highly despite the hype.
FRIDGE FREEZER. BOUGHT FIVE YEARS AGO AND NOTICED THAT THE QUALITY IS NOT GOOD AS IT USED TO BE AND PARTS ARE VERY WEAK. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPLAINED TO THEM AND NOT INTERESTED.
MIELE VACUUM COMPLETE C3 EXTREME BAG SEAL FAILURE.I first purchased one of these vacuums in 2016 as it was the best performing machine with suction and filters for my budget at about £150.The genuine expensive bags were used as per instructions but less than a year later the partly full bag failed on the seal.MIELE UK REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY but offered me instead a £90 service to clean all the debris that had gone into the motor.Bag seal failure was not on the agenda apparently at all.No free inspection was offered on this first one.I thought I may as well just get another which did not cost that much more than a service,a service which would clean it but would not address the issue.I kept the first one, useful for parts I thought. So stupidly thinking it was a fluke with no chance of compensation I bought another one thinking it could not happen again.IT HAS.At just a year old the same story.Miele uk did not reply until I copied the email to HQ in Germany who promptly told Miele UK to sort it out.Now they want both machines for inspection. The bags are again being sidestepped. All they will find is another machine full of dust in the motor. If on inspection it is not an electrical or mechanical fault...ARRRGHH ITS THE BAGS..I will be charged a £90 service fee.ITS THE BAGS MIELE.THE £10 FOR 5 BAGS.Anyone else have this problem or advice on how to proceed?Miele uk cannot locate the first complain last year lost on an update apparently...of course.TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE MIELE.
EPILOGUE?
Miele finally took both machines off for inspection but serviced them both unexpectedly, keeping the bag and box and not inspecting them at all. After 3 emails they finally said service engineers did not have a bag inspection on their worksheet.Nor was I sent the bag and box back so trading standards uk could do nothing to check them.Maybe this is why Miele do not have any bag batch recalls according to their customer services..Bag failure is never documented?Emails and copy to Hq Gutersloh, that does make things happen.I have two working Miele at present, but remain unconvinced bag seal failure will not reoccur. If this happens to you get in touch we will set up a failed bag help group and petiton their hq
I am writing in here in Miele country home, might be some one hears it!
Such unfortunate experience with Miele & such waste of money and absolute horrible experience with customer service!
I live in Denmark and “Unfortunately” I bought Dishwasher, Washing machine, Dryer machine, Refrigerator and Oven from Miele, as I trusted to the brand.
First challenge as non-Danish speaker was to find manuals in English! I wrote to whole of Miele in DK, DE and … but no one could send me real manuals and after some follow ups from my side they either stopped to write me back, or just passed me to another department! I could find 2 of the manuals from internet!
As stated I am suing a G 6825 SCU XXL dishwasher, I bought it less than one year ago.3 weeks ago I’ve got F78 fault which means the circulation pump is defective. So, I called the service centre and I’ve been told a technician will come in 2 weeks to look at it! Common! It is not a fancy useless stuff in a home it is dishwasher!
Finally, the technician cam and changed the pump, and surprisingly the day after he left, we got F25 which means this time the heater is defective and the same scenario of calling and waiting and ….
My question is simple, and it is WHY! Why it should happen when I paid this amount of money for a product? It supposed to not to be THE Good product, but it seems it’s THE absolute HORRIBLE one. It is the JUNK!
I hope someone in that organization still cares about the reputation of Miele and does something to end this mess.
I am a very unhappy and disappointed loyal Miele customer (products less than 6 months old at time of this review)
So me and my family finally bought our place in Sydney at the end of last year and naturally we were very excited. We were excited that we had a place we could call home and excited that we could buy the furniture we always wanted, decorate the apartment and drill holes without needing to ask for permission and of course upgrading our kitchen. The kitchen that the apartment came with worked perfectly fine, actually more than fine, they came with very high end European appliances but me being a foodie, decided that I wanted more. From the beginning I only considered Miele and no other brands, it was basically a one horse race, it was basically just deciding which Miele appliances to get. I ended up buying 3 very expensive Miele kitchen appliances - the top of the line H6860 oven, the G6620 semi-intrigrated dishwasher and DG6401 steam oven. Mind you I had to custom make my cabinet to fit all the appliances we wanted. But we knew it was worth it cause Miele products are very reliable and they last for a very very very long time.
Our family has been using Miele products for as long as I can remember (20+ years) and they have always worked fine so I didn’t expect anything else when you purchase Miele, after all their slogan is Immer Besser which roughly translated to Forever Better. So after doing my research and visiting the Sydney showroom once just to have a hands on feel of the appliances I confidently placed my order. I’m an easy customer since I already knew exactly what I wanted and the visit to the showroom was more to touch and feel their beautiful products. Excited and relief I waited for my products to arrive.
Everything went well up to this point, the delivery (Feb 2018) was on schedule and boy was I excited to use my appliances.
However after instillation, little cracks started appearing.
First minor problem - The universal tray and rack that came in the oven ws actually damaged, it looked like it had been dropped from a height so it needed replacing. Small issue but still a little bit of an inconvenience cause pictures had to be taken and emails exchanged, they sent new tray and rack which was expected so issue closed.
Now for the 1st major problem we encountered - light in the steam oven wasn’t working, I actually didn’t even realise that till probably a couple weeks to a month after we got the steam oven. So once again it was an inconvenience to me as I had to call Miele Australia service centre and set up an appointment and get someone out to take a look etc etc etc. Apparently they are very busy and the next time slot was something like 2 weeks away, it wasn’t that big of an issue cause the steam oven was still working, I just couldn’t see inside when the doors were closed cause the lights were not working. But of course it is a brand new product and you expect it to work perfectly especially if you are paying top dollar for Miele. So a day before the scheduled appointment, I received a call and was told that the technician was sick and they had to reschedule, which left me pretty unhappy. I understand that people get sick but to cancel the day before after I had taken leave from work left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, couldn’t they have done more to make sure the appointment would still happen? That I reckon is what happens when you outsource all your technicians and not have an in-house team. So we rescheduled the appointment and when they finally came out, they said it was easier to give me a new steam oven rather than repair the light. Which of course I agreed to and something that should be done as its a manufacturer product fault and no fault of mine at all. However that meant that I had to make another appointment and take another half day of leave for them to come and replace the steam oven. I also had to book the delivery with my building manager so that they organise the lifts and all. Nothing hard, but once again a big inconvenience for me.
Second minor issue - The trays from the steam oven, they started to rust when I put them in the dishwasher and I was thinking to myself “WHAT IS GOING ON” Again I had to send emails and take pictures and this time the lady replaying my emails was very unprofessional, she said that I couldn’t put the trays in the dishwasher when clearly the trays are dishwasher friendly. This incident really started to get me questioning whether Miele Australia customer centre knew what they were doing. Anyways trays replaced when I requested to have someone else take my case, but I think you can see the trend here, more inconvenience for me and me really starting to question the quality of my Miele products. Where they giving me inferior products? Were they really made in Germany?
2nd Major problem - So everything is fine for the next couple months and then on the 1st of August 2018, my dishwasher broke down on me. It was showing a F78 error, so once again had to call Miele Australia service centre to get someone to come out and take a look at it. Told them over the phone what exactly was happening as well as the F78 error message. Was given an appointment on the 8th of August 2018 which was a week’s time (once again too long wait time, and probably cause everything is outsourced) As you can imagine the dishwasher breaking down was the biggest inconvenience of the lot. Firstly we had a dishwasher full of dirty plates, bowls, utensils, cutlery etc etc which obviously we had to hand wash. We buy machines to make our lives easier and definitely not to disrupt our daily lives. So did the dishes for a week while we waited for the technician to come out. When he finally comes, and I tell him what is going on, he immediately says that its a major problem and that he has not seen a F78 error in the years he’s been fixing Miele machines. And I asked him, didn’t Miele Australia tell you that I was getting this error message? NO was the answer. No communications between technicians and Miele Australia service centre, so basically another wasted day waiting for the technician to come and leave after 10 mins telling me that he could not do anything about it, and I would probably need to get it replaced. Obviously thats not a good sign and again have to call Miele cause the technician is outsourced and not hired by Miele Australia. Called them twice after he leaves and spent about 30mins each time waiting for a person to answer the phone, when they finally do answer I request to speak to the manager and magically when I am put on hold to look for the manager twice, my line gets cut off after waiting about 40 mins for each phone call. It might be a coincidence or bad luck but at this point who knows!? Also during the 1st call, the lady on the line would not shut up, she kept talking over me, answering my question before I could finish, it was as if she was a mind reader. I literally had to ask her to keep quiet so she could hear what I wanted to say. She also asked me to sent her the technician’s report which totally made me blow my top. I HAVE TO SEND YOU THE REPORT? And not the other way round? You have a service centre to help me solve my problems and not the other way round where I make your life easy by doing the work for you. Definitely needs better customer service training. The staff do not have a clue to what they are doing and in my opinion are a bunch of idiots! I also want to mention that everything is recorded, so please go listen to your tapes if you are reading this Miele Australia.
As you can see, 2 major problems and 2 minor problems in less than 6 months time. Obviously I am a very unhappy and very disappointed customer at the moment, with both the quality of products as well as Miele Australia customer centre experience. I though that buying Miele products would make my daily life easier but it was been pretty much a nightmare. They are great when they work, but a pain to deal with when they aren’t! Miele Australia should seriously look at themselves in the mirror and do something that would make their customers experiences a happy and memorable one, instead of making my life a big inconvenience!
I am now sitting on the fence as to whether I would buy another Miele product. I know they are still good products and I might have been very unlucky having needed to get 2 products changed in the first 5 months but their customer experience is definitely something that needs to be improved. At this point I am definitely not recommending Miele to my friends and family at this point in time.
Update* after dish washer has been replaced and after writing the majority of the review.
3rd major problem - Miele Australia came to replace the dishwasher, for some reason they booked the job twice which means I had it changed, I left my apartment after it was done and about an hour later someone called and said he was here to change the dishwasher. What a comedy of errors.
Now before they left, we tested the machine and it worked fine, now a day later I am trying to do my 1st wash and I am being showed a F70 error message. I am officially PI55ED OFF. Just called them 1st thing Monday morning and said would need to be changed again! So 3rd machine change over in less than a 6 month period. Would never recommend this crap brand to anyone I know. Can’t get their crap together, can’t do a simple job and I think they are selling/replacing my machine with other faulty machines!
Summary - 3 machines changed in less than 6 months, definitely not the German reliability I though I was buying. WILL NOT BE BUYING ANOTHER MIELE MACHINE IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
Spoke to a very helpful young lady in Customer Services who quickly sorted out my order. Buying via the website was problematic, as I couldn't verify which bags were suitable for my particular vacuum cleaner. Sort it out Miele, it's not rocket science.

WTM2796 WPM Wash drier - job no. 1002761421
Don't buy one. It's an unreliable machine supported by sh-- customer service. We bought it to replace an AEG that managed 6 years then started playing up. Miele seemed a good idea. Not so.
It lasted 2 1/2 years (half a year beyond the formal 2 year guarantee) and started playing up. In the 6 months that followed we've had FIVE call-outs. The drier refused to work (twice). Next, the fan failed. Now we have a water system failure twice.
Either Miele has too many problems or too few engineers. The shortest wait for an engineer has been 2 weeks during which the machine is either not functional or just partly functional. For the price with extended guarantee we could have bought 3 Bosch machines and thrown them out as they broke down. This time Miele cancelled a visit so we're waiting 4 weeks altogether.
The machine is not fit for purpose. We now face having lost a lot of money just throwing it out because we doubt we'll get any compensation, even for the cost of telephoning Miele or the laundrette expenses. However, if it breaks down again unless Miele provide us with a working replacement, it has to go.
We won't touch this brand again. Too overpriced, too unreliable
My two year old tumble dryer recently developed a fault, as I have a 10 year warranty with Miele (which I paid extra for) I called them. Was told it would be two weeks before an engineer could call. When he did he managed to leave the machine in a worse state of repair then beforehand. Miele offered another visit 2 weeks hence!
Despite promises from a manager to call me back (which he never did) and an email to the CEO who is still to respond or acknowledge it I am left with a machine which is not working and a company who feel it is acceptable to leave you waiting for a month for a repair and a CEO who doesn’t seem to care.
Dårlig tørretumbler som selv efter fire service besøg ikke kan tørre lagner. De bliver til en bold som er våd indeni.
I have a dryer that even after four visits by service personnel doesnt dry sheets. I get a ball that is very wet on the inside.
NEVER BUY MIELE APPLIANCE
Had an appointment booked for last Friday 23rd March. Phoned every single day for two weeks all at different times to get the engineer to come on his last call. On EVERY occasion after waiting 40 mins each time stlll couldn’t get through. Wrote emails got automated response dating back to 22nd February stating they are very busy and will get in touch as soon as they can. WELL THEY DIDNT and Friday beginner called at 11 to say he was on his way and I had to explain EVERYTHING. yet again another appointment rearranged for 13th April. This has been going on since 30th November 2017. PLEASE DO NOT BUT MIELE THEY ARE RUBBISH
Waited a total of 180 minutes on phone to customer services..finally got through..assistant told me to wait as she couldn’t answer my query and then SHE CUT ME OFF..she had my details..never rang back, My kitchen company tried to get someone to help me and said a person would ring me..I waited all day. THEY NEVER RANG ME. My kitchen people then waited 45 mins to contact them again and gave up. I was finally given a number to ring but it was TEMPORARILY OUT OF ORDER...I expected more from Miele...
Tried to get through every day from Tuesday without success. One day holding on for twenty three minutes another twelve minutes.
Took me 30 mins to book an appointment. The engineer did not turn up. Another 30 mins trying to get through. When I did it transpire that ‘their new system ‘ sent out the wrong times. My entire day has been wasted. Then after sales service is the worse I have experienced for years won’t buy Miele again. Not worth the aggro..
