Return Damaged Goods

Want to return the chest of drawers we ordered as they were damaged. Also the desk we ordered had the incorrect parts in the box but we decided we could correct these ourselves. We settled with an agreed refund for the drawers and some money back on the desk.

Time has gone on now and we have arranged for the courier company to come and pick up the goods, however I have been sending emails to Milan Direct and even copied them on various emails to which it seems they are now ignoring me.

I am now worried, reading other comments, that we might send the goods back and not get the refund we were promised and are entitled to.

I would avoid this company at all costs. To make things more difficult is the fact I can only find a contact number based on Australia!!

Recent purchase

I have just purchased bedside tables and have to say that for the price the tables were excellent.
They assembled quite easily and the quality was excellent, they were aslo very sturdy.
Service was second to none.

Eames Office Chair

Disappointed to read of so many problems from other customers.

I have used Milan Direct three times this year and have no complaints at all regarding customer service. 'Ken' always emails promptly when I flag up any queries. This chair arrived October 10th - two working days after being ordered.

Assembly was easy and the chair looks great.

Could do with some instructions as to how the adjustments work, but no doubt will work this out anyhow in the next day or so

Appalling service

I ordered two, 2 Seater leather Le Corbusier Sofas from Milan Direct. The delivery driver did not arrive the first time, and when I contacted Milan Direct, they said had to take it up with the delivery company.
This is not the worst of it. When I finally contacted the delivery company, they arrived and left my two sofas on the roadside, tied to pallets. Despite my pleading, they refused t carry the sofas further than the bottom of my drive. They wouldn't carry them into my house, and they wouldn't even leave tem in mine or my neighbours garage, despite our pleading. The delivery company driver was rude and obnoxious, and despite me being a female on my own, I was left with two huge sofas on the roadside, attached to pallets. I contacted Milan Direct yesterday for an apology and explanation of why this delivery service cost me over £70. As yet, no one has contacted me.

This complaint has been passed on directly to the courier. I can't find any emails in our records where we have advised you that we wouldn't help and you would have to speak directly to the courier, however again apologise if this was done. However, as noted in our email, our delivery information clearly states that with larger items the driver is unable to bring these indoors for you. This is due to OH&S regulations and the information is available to read prior to purchase. In addition, this is advised on your tracking email. Poor service ?customer dissaisfaction service

I can not believe that this well known company treat me like some sort of fraudster. Some 3 weeks ago I ordered an Office Chair around £350. I used my Barclaycard ccount to pay for this. Unfortunately due to recent house move etc my card still has my previous address. Nevertheless the Card made payment and I waited for the delivery to take place. I kept receiving emails from Mr Zukerman asking me to let him know the sum of money he has credited to my account. I DO NOT have online banking facility with the Barclaycard, due to obvious reasons I have decided to be quite catious with my money transactions and quite worried about using online banking...may be I am old fashioned. Nevertheless as a pensioner I have to be careful. So everyday I received e-mails from this gentleman asking me the same question- to which I replied sating my full name etc and that I am not a fraudster. My partner received copies of these emails and he too wrote saying please issue the chair!. This morning I received email from Mr Zukerman saying the order has been cancelled since I DID NOT INFORM HIM THE EXAT sum he credited. This is appalling behaviour. I will not use this company again. Shame I really liked the chair.

Order cancelled no refund recieved

Do not touch this company. I ordered 4 chairs for £120 in may this year. On June 24 a week after the delivery was due i was informed of a further 12 week delay. I had to cancel the order as i needed chairs desperately and couldn't wait 12 weeks. Acceptable you would think. I was informed refund would be within a few days. It is now 5 weeks and two polite emails later and no refund or acknowledgement of my communication has been recieved. Don't risk it. Read the reviews on here and buy elsewhere.

Absolute good and quality products

I have bought few things from this company. The products they sell is good quality and nice design customer service replies to your email quite fast. In one case my order delivered battered and damaged when I sent the photos of the damage that delivery people had done Milan Direct sent me another one within few weeks.
I was though very disappointed on my last purchase TV stand from Milan Direct. They overcharged me delivery and insurance when it was delivered I found out that that I could have ordered it direct from the company that makes them with free delivery, Milan Direct in this case was acting as middle man I could have saved £36 very disappointing!!

Quality of Eames chair was bad and a refund took forever

I will not use Milan Direct again. Their office is in Australia with no telephone contact so complaints take forever to deal with. We brought an Eames chair, built it and threw the packaging away. Unfortunately a day later the chair back broke.. I complained to Milan Direct and saw other reviews which also noted this problem. We checked our rights with Citizens Advice and found out we were entitled to a full refund and not just an exchange which is what they offered. I wrote a very legal letter and Milan Direct eventually agreed. However I had to buy additional packaging to put the chair in...the whole thing was such a hassle....never again!

This was immediately agreed to on the proviso that the goods were first returned. 4 Bella Cross Iron Back Bar Stools

It took more than one month to receive the stools. The communication is awful, you need to keep send them emails. Same answer over and over. Eventually, I complaint to the customer service manager and asked for next day delivery and also for a discount for all the troubles. He offered me £25 off the next order with them, meaning I need to be a repetitive client and "suffer" again in order to qualify for a discount... And the stools came after another week and a half. The items are less than average quality with paint chips and poor finish. With this company is their way or no way...

Really happy with these chairs

I ordered 4 of the blue eames chairs for a new office and they are great. Arrived very quickly, didn't have any problems with delivery as some people have. The delivery driver brought them up to the first floor for me. They were easy to put together and look really smart.

LOVELY CHAIR - shame about the poor customer service and delivery

When I placed the order for my chair I informed the company that there was only one day that I could not recieve a delivery. After a long delay the email reply was that deliveries were not in control of MD but the responsibility of the nominated carrier. The courier's web tracking number did not work and they did not respond to email or requests to ring me on my mobile.
My neigbours kindly offered to let the courier in if the chair was delivered on the day I was out. The driver arrived, my neigbours opened the door but the driver insisted that was going to leave the chair on the pavement outside the house as it was a 2 person delivery and as I had not paid for that so he wasn't lifting the chair into the house. He did not have a wheeled trolley for the job and no motorised tailgate on the vehicle. My elderly neigbours dragged the box into the house without the help of the courier. As I say a LOVELY chair but I will think twice before ordering again due to the poor customer service.

Reasonably happy

After receiving my Barcelona chair and ottoman assembling one of the clips that hold the cushions on the frame it had a broken rivet. I got in touch and heard back quickly that a replacement would be sent from Australia. Eventually when it arrived there were 4 clips which was great, however only one was useable as 3 broke on the rivets again when trying to assemble them. They do not seem fit for purpose and are of poor quality.I doubt the rest will last very long. Apart from this I was happy with my purchase but could do with some more substantial replacements ready for when the existing clips have broken rivets from general use.

Happy with the end product but it was truly painful to get there

Started with them putting my order on hold for no apparent reason.
They were meant to put a "small refund on my card", I would then have to email them how much the refund was to ensure I was the right person. Never heard of this before and despite my complaints they complained that it was impossible to put the order through without it.
After I chased twice, it transpired that they had never processed the small refund. They put my order through anyway because they had screwed up, proving that they really didn't have to do it anyway.

Then, they tried to deliver it at my home without telling me... so I was at work. Then having reorganised delivery they turned up with a box that had got wet, rotted and as a result all the pieces had fallen out and gotten damaged. Obviously I did not accept delivery.

They then got a new one sorted and one of the handles was screwed. Took a further couple of weeks to get another one.

Happy with the end product but it has been truly painful to get here.

Disappointing Customer service

We bought ourselves a new coffee table from Milan Direct, our first purchase from this company. We had looked many times at their website and I think the very good design of the website gave us a false feeling of confidence in the Company. The item did eventually arrive and was a very nice piece which we are happy with, the problem was a lack of communication, we received no emails, response to our questions or shipping info whatsoever until we raised a case with PayPal as after two weeks with no contact we had become very concerned. Sadly I will not use this company again as I believe good communication with your customers is paramount.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY - FAULTY GOODS RETURNED AND NO REFUND

Really annoyed with this company. Purchased chairs which were not as described and subsequently returned for a refund. That was over a month ago and despite reminders and promises I have still received no refund and now will have to go to all the hassle of raising a chargeback with the credit card company. They are not even based in the UK. They are based in Australia. Avoid at all costs.

Dont trust delivery time claims!

I ordered a set of the Barcelona chairs online, which claim to be "dispatched within 24 hours". I thought that I can reasonably expect a UK mainland delivery within 2-3 days based on thier claim. IT TOOK THEM 3 days to confirm that the item has been dispatched, and then I received the following message: "Delivery estimates are 2-5 business days for the UK, and up to 7 business days for the EU. Please note that these are estimates and our carriers will endeavour to meet these on all occasions; however please allow up to 10 business days for all deliveries." -- this is frankly outrageous. I suggest that you spare yourself the hassle and choose an alternative provider

Eames Lounger and Ottoman

I bought this item for my husbands 90th Birthday. He loved the style, but unfortunately it was not suitable for him. I e-mailed MD and received a reply the same day asking for a photograph of original packing. Fortunately I had taken a photo on delivery as packaging was wet. But then disposed of all packaging. I was instructed to repackage and photograph results. No mean feat as I am 72 and fashioned the packaging from old removal boxes! It took several hours! However, on receipt of photos a pick up was arranged and full refund deposited in my PayPal account. I would definitely recommend the company, but suggest customers should be advised to photograph packaging on arrival and to keep all original packaging until satisfied with purchase!
