Mitch was absolutely outstanding with his knowledge and his service. Despite me coming in close to closing time, he approached me to see how he could help. He listened and immediately went to the perfect item. The quality, the ergonomic design of the down jacket, and the reinforced hood is exceptional and far better than anything I had just seen in the 4 other local sports shops, and incredibly, it was also greatly reduced to an affordable price. This showed genuine service and real integrity because I would not have found them myself, and he could have shown me the more expensive ranges. I absolutely love the jacket and am so thrilled that it is everything that I required. Mitch went above and beyond to get me the best, and at such a great price. This was at Millets in Barnstaple

We bought Scarpa walking boots for my Partner a few months ago, Elliot was great and very knowledgable about the products. As a result of that we returned today for a pair of Scarpa boots for myself. Such friendly and helpful staff. I was quickly checked on by both members of staff to make sure I was ok. And when I asked about what makes a good waterproof coat Elliott was very knowledgeable providing really helpful information on what I needed to look for and gave me several options to research.
The customer service is top notch, and there was no trouble with exchanging an item I had previously bought. Highly recommend paying a visit to Millets, they know their stuff!

Bought a pair of Merrill hiking trainers back in July and they had split down the sides (only 1 long hike and a mile a day the rest of the time) After contacting head office was told to take them back to Barnstaple branch.
Spoke to Jeremy in the shop and in no time at all had a replacement pair.
Great service from Jeremy who dealt with it quickly, professionally and politely. 👍

He gave the advice and then gave me the time to consider without anyway being pushy. Excellent service and highly recommended. Excellent knowledge and service from Elliot and all the staff at Millets. I tried several well known outlets before heading into Millets and found them all rather disappointing. I now know that I have the right boots at the right price and couldn’t be happier with the result!

We went in for boots, a sleeping bag and a backpack. The choice was good and Mitch was extremely helpful. We got everything we wanted and were happy we went to Millets

Decided to return an item I had recently purchased. Nothing was too much trouble for Elliott and he gave me his undivided attention as I quizzed him about a suitable replacement and other items (which I subsequently purchased).
Whilst I feel the store itself is rather small & cramped, the service and advice offered by the sales team more than makes up for this and is always excellent.

Just been and bought a new pair of boots at Millets Barnstaple. As always friendly and professional service from Rob who asked me within seconds of arriving if I needed help etc. After browsing, I’d chosen some new boots and he was quick to get my nearest 2 sizes and help with fitting etc. Also advised me on wearing in and other care products. When I asked about further discount, he provided what the could as well which is very helpful in these times. Great friendly, professional service.
