Our experience at Millets was absolutely amazing! The staff took exceptional care of us throughout our visit. We had quite a few items to pick up and ended up spending nearly two hours in the shop, but everyone was so lovely and helpful that it didn’t feel long at all. We truly felt welcomed and well looked after. Highly recommend!

As my two local Millets stores have now closed I rang the store in East Grinstead to see if they had the particular backpack I was after. I spoke to the manager who confirmed they had it in stock and that he would put it by for me until the weekend when I could collect it. As promised it was there waiting for me and the manager even pointed out a little safety whistle which I didn’t know it had. Great service - thoroughly recommend.

I don’t know what it is about this shop but it’s like going back in time to the days when shop assistants were welcoming and friendly and willing to put a bit of effort into helping you find what you needed. I have never been disappointed here - stock levels have always been good and staff are always friendly and helpful. I was assisted by Jonny yesterday and he couldn’t have been more helpful - no hard-sell but lots of honest advice about products. Where do other shops go wrong? Why can’t all shops be like this?

Went to Millets to find a pair of walking shoes. They had a good range of shoes, many in the sale. I was served by Alfie, who was very friendly, polite, helpful and attentive - bringing me out several different styles of shoes in both size 4 and 5 to try and helpfully letting me know which styles were waterproof and which were not. With his help I found the perfect pair!

Sharon was patient and helpful in taking care of me. I have disability issues to manage when choosing footwear and she couldn't have been more attentive.

Shop neat and tidy, good selection of gear, Sharon was knowledgeable and super helpful, always pointing us to the budget gear before showing us the more expensive stuff (which we ended up buying). Nothing beats the personal touch!

Jonny was really helpful when choosing items for a DofE expedition.

Sharon helped us choose some items for the DofE Bronze award and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Always a great store with helpful staff!

Millets East Grinstead

I first of all called the shop to see if they stocked the item I wanted. The young man who answered the phone had such a lovely telephone manner. He explained what stock he had and alternatives should I be interested in other brands. Excellent service on the phone which is sadly so rare these days.
I then visited the shop and a different gentleman served me and again could not have been more helpful. So refreshing. Please visit this shop rather than online as the staff are fabulous. Thank you all of you

Jon was very helpful when trying to find the right footwear for me

I was served by Alfie at the East Grinstead branch. I went back there today because Alfie had helped me pick a bag earlier for a trip I was taking and he had proved to be very helpful. He is a real credit to the store. I would also like to say that his colleague was also extremely professional and very helpful. Thank you both.

Purchased a Hi Gear delta picnic set on 17/4/25 excellent service by Jonny.

Jonny and Zoe were very friendly and I managed to find everything I was looking for at a good price. It's great to have such a good camping shop nearby.
