Placed ,what for me ,was a large order of Lemax Christmas Village products . I was lured by the prices which were lower than other competitors. I was a little worried as there seemed to be mixed reviews . However my order came exactly within the stated timeframe and I knew what day to expect my parcel etc . Goods were as they should be and in perfect condition . Lots of people were saying this retailer had closed , however they are now online only . My experience was all positive and I made big savings .

Are brilliant great service purchased giant tortoise 🐢 giant elephant 🐘 both vivid arts for my wife for our anniversary and Christmas pressies she's over the moon loves them, arrived in excellent condition,packaged extremely well arrived within time frame,the customer service is excellent the adviser who had taken my telephone call couldnt have helped me enough on purchasing these items she was very polite gave me correct information and guidance/reassurance lovely people to talk too...thank you very much....

We had Sunday breakfast for a family reunion of 14 people. The cafe staff were superb. The food was served quickly and was excellent. They couldn't do enough for us, from the young man taking the order, to the chef and the lady clearing the tables. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Rudest management team we have ever had the misfortune to deal with, a real example of how not to treat customers! Other staff members seemed nice but the damage has been done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Like others, I've twice had the experience of placing an order, paying for it, not receiving it, then contacting them to be told one of the items I ordered is out of stock - so when did they plan to tell me this?! They took my money yet must have known they couldn't fulfill my order as one item was not in stock. How long did they plan to hold on to my money and not send my order, if I hadn't called them?!
I've never had this experience with another online seller, garden centre, or Lemax supplier, yet I've had it twice with Mill Race. As a result, I will never purchase from them again.
Incidentally their reply read like a very generic reply, which makes me wonder how many times they send that same email each day!

Awkward. Overheard members of staff being rude about other members of staff within earshot of customers. The bloke was walking around looking like a manager too. Made me feel uncomfortable so I left.

I ordered two large tubs of aquarium fish flake from this place during black friday week, it is a specialised zero nitrate formulation food in a large size tub, I had a couple of weeks supply left and as it was slightly less than my normal source so I went to give them a try, oh what a mistake...
After nearly a week (3th Dec) I tried phoning them to find out why the order hadn't been dispatched, got nothing but ringing phone and answering machine for nearly two hours, so I gave up and tried the following day (4th Dec), after more than several attempts I finally got through to someone and they said they would contact the staff responsible for online orders and I was told that I would be called back later that day, no call was received, the following day (5th Dec) they emailed saying that they were waiting on stock to turn up that day, and the order would be fulfilled that day, next day (today) I get in from work, order cancelled by them...
I was stunned at this point, because it is not only highly unprofessional, but I also just found out that Swallow aquatics are part of this outfit, and they "were" on my "Go To" list, not any more...
I had seen on their web page "Our customers rate us 4.8 / 5 - Read our Reviews" click the link, and the review site states that Mill Race don't even use them for reviews...
What is even worse, my normal source is now out of stock until after new year, and nobody else stocks that size, unless I want to pay the ripoff market place prices of amazon, so I have been left high and dry by this lot.

So Trustpilot, you need to start allowing zero star reviews, or even better MINUS star reviews, lord knows this outfit needs to buck their ideas up and get their customer services in order.

Ate in the Kingfisher today. Won't be doing so again. We had to ask for the table to be cleared and then asked for it to be wiped. The chicken pie we ordered was tasty and the chips were ok when we eventually got our meal but it was all lukewarm as it had been sitting on the shelf for at least 5 minutes maybe more and the plates were cold. Looking back on old reviews it hasn't improved following these reviews. Mill Race doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be and the cafe certainly isn't.

I visited the garden centre today with my elderly mother.We enjoyed looking at the selection of Christmas decorations and choice of gifts available.
Unfortunately, we found the cafe was under staffed ,the wait for toasted pannini was over 40 minutes.
My mother was unable to eat a soggy limp pannini.
Other customers were cleaning and clearing tables .
Sadly most customers seemed upset and the atmosphere was tense in what I hoped would have been a relaxed environment..

Called in for lunch and a browse ordered jacket potato which was hard inside and cheese was tastless , seems to be very expensive , some plants in poor condition , unless you want fish I would give this garden center a miss

Visited to buy fish and plants with my mother who is in a wheelchair , was pushing the wheelchair and a trolley which was very awkward , got to the till and paid and the assistant took the trolley from me saying I couldn’t take it outside but she didn’t offer to help me out with my purchases despite the fact there were 2 of them at the till doing nothing
Won’t go again very underwhelming

I live in Kent and spotted a large windchime in a local garden centre price was exhorbitant
Shopped around online and found it at Mill Race at an extremely competitive price ordered and paid on Saturday postage was free it arrived today Tuesday extremely well wrapped and protected tracked and in excellent condition

Visited Mill Race our local garden centre today on route home from Colchester for a coffee and cake. No free tables, many littered with dirty plates and cups!! All needed a wipe, and the floor was dirty.
We waited at the counter to order in the hope that a table would become free. After 10 minutes of not being acknowledged we decided to leave. All staff were busy, we witnessed one drop a stack of trays on the floor and kick them into place with with her foot(no cleaning) What has happened to Mill Race this was always a lovely place for a wander and light lunch, very disappointed

Food at tills is nice, a little pricey but nice.

The place is overall a bit expensive!

Ordered lemax villages and the customer service is second to none ,a special mention to Natasha who was great at dealing with my enquiries .highly recommended
