With reference to the previous reviewer, I make my mind up about the postage charges before I buy......

I have recently purchased two small items from this company on-line. The ordering process was easy and the items were despatched together by "UK Mainland Express Shipping" BUT ..... the good news stopped there.

The parcel (large letter size) took two days to arrive and on receipt there were no extra services associated with it (e.g. insurance/guaranteed one-day signed etc) to justify the £2.50 p & p charge.

As I felt this charge to be excessive I queried it with the company for a detailed breakdown. The only information the company would give me was that the ex-VAT value was £2.07.

As the franking label on the parcel showed £0.78p. and the single-skin plastic envelope can be bought for around 2p. from Amazon this gives a total p & p cost of 80p. This leaves £1.27p. unaccounted for.

When I again queried this excessive charge with the company I was told - "We have to buy the franking machine and packing, also we have to take the item to the post office and pay ourselves a wage" !!!

This nonsensical excuse just proves that this company are merely profiteering by making inappropriate charges for non-existent services and hiding them in p & p costs.

This is a deplorable practice for any business, but more so for one which proudly claims to have been operating for over 60 years.

I will most definitely NOT be dealing with them again.

Ordered goods mid afternoon thursday,goods arrived Friday afternoon. Will use this company again.

A firm that values its customers and their needs. The company got in touch with me to say that one of the paints I had oredered was not in stock even though it was ordered from their supplier

After seeing that the shop had 2 Quattro-x in stock on line. I phoned the shop to double check, they advised there was 2 in stock.I went back online purchased 1 & i phoned to ask can i have the goods collected as i work for a courier company. they confirmed my name & addr & mailed to say all was fine for collection & they also refunded my dlvry charge that is taken @ time of puchase.

All round Fantastic Service I would recomend the shop to anyone.
ps.. very pleased with my Quattro-x ( does what it says on the box) cant wait on the weather to get better.

Found a contact in RCM&E for some unusual glue. Price much less than mail ordering from Germany and the items arrived very quickly. Excellent service.

Easy to use search facility found what I needed when no other sites did. Shipping was instant, arrived next morning first thing. Now top of my list list in Favourites

For a number of reasons I do a lot of my hobby shopping online. Anything I've ever ordered from MSL has been despatched very promptly, while their prices are fair and their packaging is streets ahead of anyone else's. They also make a point of keeping you advised by email throughout the process.
I keep a large number of hobby shops in my browser bookmarks, but will only look for another supplier after I've checked whether the thing I need can be bought at MSL. If they have it, they are always my go-to store.

fast postal service, good product range and fair price. excellent alternative to normal off shore hobby suppliers. Will use again.

So far I haven't been to the shop all my purchases have been on line but questions have been asked and answered in a plain explanation. On one occasion bring it in we will have a look and see if we can sort it, very friendly.

On Wednesday I ordered a pair of H9 retract struts and was immediately informed that they only had one in stock but more were hopefully expected on the Friday, I requested that just one be sent if the expected order did not arrive. Friday morning both full order of struts arrived at my door.
It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks to all.
