We have used Motoroads three times now in Bulgaria and every time they have exceeded our expectations. The service is professional, relaxed and stress-free.
We would recommend them to anyone and they are a great role-model for Bulgarian companies in the area of customer service.

Wasted quite some time to choose a motorbike in Rome - took a while as I needed to reselect data and time over and over again. There were at least 10 available machines in the selected period. Then some time after booking and paying I get an email saying that all bikes in Rome were sold out and I would get a refund. (hopefully coming). Looks like a scam to get my email and credit card data.
That is not how vehicle renting in the internet works!

And again, the best service that I ever experienced with car rental. Fast. Nice car. No additional charges. I will still be a frequent customer. Many thanks to the team of Motoroads BG.

We booked a snowmobil tour last weekend in Bansko

We waited to our pick up from the hotel but nobody came to take us. They canceled our tour with no tell us . Not recommended.

Our preferred choice of a car rental company everytime we are in Bulgaria. Their customer service has always been a top level - from meeting you to collecting the car. Every time we have needed an assistance they have helped. The cars are also very well maintained, clean and joy to drive. Don't hesitate to use their services.

Rented a motorbike for a week in Greece. Everything run smoothless. Bike was as expected and communication was great.

Car was not at Sofia airport. We waited 45 minutes and 5 phone calls before we finally connected. Then,we were told that our car was being cleaned at a nearby petro station and he would transport us there. It was a very chaotic way to get a car in a foreign country and foreign language! After waiting at the petrol station, they did not have a credit card machine to process final payment (which office staff said we could use).
Garmin GPS is ten-year-old technology which is very difficult to use.

I have booked a car for the third time in Motorads. Great service! Next year I will order again.

Great company and the people are super friendly and knowledgeable. They answer your questions and can deliver and pick up your car to your place of residence. I have been using them for 2 years now and will continue to use them in the future. This company makes everything hassle free!

We've used Motoroads a number of times and our experience has been very mixed.

The staff we have dealt with have always been very pleasant - when they actually turn up as they promise to (see below).

We used them a number of years ago for our first ever visit to Bulgaria and the car we received was exactly what was ordered, and it was delivered to our hotel in Sofia exactly on time.

Since then, we have had some questionable experiences.

We once ordered a Mercedes C-class and got a Hyundai 4x4 which was in less than perfect working order (heating only on one side, cooling only on the other side; sidelights not working; squealing noise from the automatic transmission under acceleration). Motoroads' excuse was that the Mercedes was "crashed" and anyway the Hyundai was at least 2 classes above. This, needless to say, was not our feeling regarding "class."

One 4x4 we ordered for the winter season was supplied by a representative from another company altogether, and the windscreen rattled horribly at any speed over about 50KMh.

On another occasion, despite their promise, no Motoroads representative turned up at the airport to meet us; we had to call them to find out what was going on. We were told to use the airport desk of another company (Moto-Pfohe); there was no one at the desk so we had to call them as well and wait another 15 minutes for someone to appear. Also, despite Motoroads' clear instructions that the balance of the rental has to be paid IN CASH at pickup time, Moto-Pfohe were extremely reluctant to allow us to pay that way, despite the fact that we'd prepared a substantial amount of cash for exactly that purpose.

The last time, we ordered a 2016 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TSi. Their representative was there at the airport waiting for us (always a relief!) but what we actually got was a Kia Rio of uncertain engine size. Now I know that car hire companies never guarantee that they will supply the model ordered, only something "similar," but this was just taking the mick. (A bit like the Hyundai instead of Mercedes which I mentioned above). The car was fairly new (20-something thousand Km on it) but the rear-seat space and interior fit were not in the same class as a VW Golf. The Kia seemed to be a fairly basic model.

Motoroads' prices usually seem to be below average, but I think that's often reflected in the below-average experience. I repeat, the staff are always very polite and helpful but the overall experience isn't always up to scratch. For that reason, I always question myself whether it's worth the (not very large) monetary saving. Compare this with the big-name company we've used a couple of times in Bulgaria, where both times we got exactly what we ordered and no hassles.

The taxi showed up a little bit before it was expected. Had a nice trip between Constanta and Varna. Can recommend it to others!

We had a stellar experience renting cars from Motoroads on two separate occasions. Their cars were in good shape and quite new. They handled all the paperwork needed to travel to Macedonia on one of the rentals. And they are very flexible about pickup and drop-off locations so we could start our rental at the airport or central bus terminal and finish at either. The customer support is quick and thorough as well; if something is amiss, they will fix it. They may not be the least expensive option around, but they offer good cars at a good price, with lots of extras to make your experience a smooth one. We believe in using local companies for renting cars, and Motoroads justifies our practice.

Used them twice now, once in 2017 and once in 2018 for a ski trip to Bansko, Even in bad weather (heavy snow) they were there on time, waited without problem for our delayed flight and pick us up on time every time. Great company and they are the cheapest available too.
