Horrible service : I placed an order for a few items like jackets and backpacks for my trip and I received just 2 of them. After multiple follow ups and after placing a new order for the missing items just a few days before my trip with an expedited shipping, one of the packages worth $250 was again not delivered and I have been following for the last 10 days without any response.
I will never order from them again to save time, money and hassle and the unpredictability that partially ruined my trip.

Wish I had found this place sooner! Got a great deal, item was brand new in UnderArmor plastic. Ordered on Tuesday December 22 and got on December 24, which I could not believe being it’s the Christmas holiday rush. Look forward to future purchases.

I was very skeptical ordering from this website based because of how good the deal was (almost too good to be true) and these past reviews. I ordered 2 pairs of matching muck boots for me and my dad for Christmas and they showed up on time with being the right size and color. They were also packaged the same way they were in Academy, Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc. Price was 40 dollars less than anywhere else. Very happy with my experience.

mountain steals customer service is a joke. Never responded. Shipping never arrived.

*EDIT: Customer support finally contacted me and said they are doing everything to make this right. Let's see if that happens - if so, it's probably not their fault - FedEx messed this up. But it took three attempts to get in tough with customer service.

Sent me the wrong skis. Only could offer an extra 10% off of the skis they sent me even though the skis they sent can be found much cheaper on the internet. Do not order from them. It was too good to be true

I just wanted to write a review for Mountain Steals. I was worried I wouldn't receive my product and that the website was a scam, but I received my product on time and it was as described. I received a Chrome Kovac Sling for half the price brand new. I was able to pay with PayPal, so my information was protected. I would recommend ordering from them.

Not sure where all the hate is coming from. I ordered a few cosmetic second biners. FedEx screwed up again and again and again finally stating the package was delivered (wasn't). Mountain steals immediately sent a new package and even expedited my deliver. Will definitely look here when I have future gear needs.

Mountain Steals is the only website which cannot extend the returns period to 60 days in a COVID-19 epidemic. I asked them for a extended deadline for returns due to COVID 19 quarantine, and the service representative said "We are trying to help customers with the 30 day window due to the pandemic however our return carrier UPS is still operating and is able to ship the return at this time." Every other website I know has generously extended their returns period.

I just want everyone to know beware when you purchase from Mountainsteal. I purchased a Arcteryx Thorsen Parka and found out the jacket is a 2017 model. I noticed the material and fit is different from the one i try in the store. No were on the websites states that the jacket is out of season. I spoke to customer service and was told all product they sell from MountainSteal and Moosejaw are out of season.

I ordered a sweater that was listed in stock, then received an email telling me my order had been canceled...no explanation. 4 days and no refund, contacted “customer service” and was told wait another 3 business days. Never again will I do business with them. I expect I will have to open a paypal dispute

I was worried about purchasing from here when I found a sleeping bag that was $50 less expensive than anyone else. When I read the reviews it did not make me feel much better but it was such a good deal and I found a 10% of coupon i decided to give it a try. I am glad I did!! I paid for two day shipping and got the bag on time for my trip. The bag was new and in full working order. I will definately look to buy here again.

Kind of mad. It was a decent deal and it shipped in the timeframe they quoted. But the pic and title of the item was STRONGLY misleading. I was looking for a nice warm winter jacket for my gf. I care across the “Arcadia 2 jacket.” The pic showed it like it was going to a JACKET and even said so. When the item arrived, it was a mere raincoat shell. Like something you’d put on, to go to the beach on a breezy day. Sorely displeased with this, cuz the even have the jacket zipped all the way, in the pic, probably to hide the netted liner, inside. That would tip off customers that it is NOT a “jacket” as they claim, but more of a raincoat. Just plain😡

I don't understand the negative reviews. I have bought a Marmot rainjacket and a Columbia down coat. Cheapest prices around and good customer service. (The Columbia was less expensive on the Mountain Steals site than the Moosejaw site.)I had to exchange the Marmot which was cut small for a larger size and they took care of it on the phone. The Columbia was sized perfectly. Delivery is pretty quick. Do not hesitate.

Great prices, ships pretty quickly, and returns are easy. The only weird part about returns is you just write a letter and stick it in the box. But the item I decided not to keep was refunded quickly.

Jacket we bought was used or demo jacket from store. Tags were cut off and jacket was extremely wrinkled as if it had been stuffed somewhere for a while.

I initiated a refund, found out we pay for shipping. Do not buy from Mountain Steals.

I've placed 2 orders with Mountain Steals and both arrived with crazy speed and when I asked for an exchange in a different size it was at my doorstep in 2 days. Did not expect that! So far so good!

Terrible customer service, don't waste your money. I put in the wrong address (off by 1 digit) and never received my package. I get that it's my fault but they offered NOTHING to make up for me spending $100 and not receiving anything -- no discount on future orders, no free shipping on future orders, no apologies ... just a condescending attitude and "better luck next time."

Lost order. I spent a couple of hours shopping and I placed a large order. I got a confirmation email, but Mountain Steals never shipped the order and when I inquired about it, they said that they didn't have a record of it.
