Created an order with the intent to price match as advertised on the site. However, their online chat is always unavailable and I've never reached a person via their phone number during their advertised business hours.

After being unable to reach them I sent their customer service an email to just cancel the order as I ordered the item from somewhere else instead. About 30 some hours later I received an email saying that it was too late to be canceled. Even considering that my chats, phone calls, and email sent within minutes of placing the order.

The order did not ship for 3 days. It wasn't too late. Now they are asking that I pay to and from shipping for an order that they couldn't cancel within minutes of being placed during business hours.

Purchased a coat, for my Mother, 1/14/19. Today, 1/16/19, I got an email stating that unfortunately the item I ordered was out of stock and they try their best to make sure this never happens, but sometimes sales go too quickly. Um.... okay, when I ordered the coat on Monday there was 2 coats in that color and size in stock. So, I guess in my mind if I placed an order when their site stated 2 were in stock-then I purchased one of them. *shrugs shoulders* Guess I’ll just not purchase from them again.

I ordered an Outdoor Research Women's Clairvoyant Jacket it arrived quickly and I was given all pertinent order fulfillment and shipping tracking information as I would expect from any reputable dealer.
I have since returned the jacket (ordered wrong size). Mountain Steals accepted the return and gave full refund immediately.

Terrible customer service. I have purchased from moosejaw, REI, campsaver, backcountry, you name it. This company has poor service, an awful return policy. Given that I received my item near a holiday, I had limited time to return with their 30 day policy. THIS INCLUDES SHIP TIME!! They would not allow a return or even store credit. Do not buy from them. You'll have 100% better service and policies elsewhere.

First off Moosejaw and Mountain Steals are basically the same company. I ordered shorts from Mountain Steals and suddenly I'm getting spam email from Moosejaw.
My main issue is the fraud that both websites are perpetrating when it comes to their Prana shorts. They intentionally do not list the inseam size, which is something Prana and other legitimate websites do in order for the customer to know they are ordering the size they want. This is how they offer big discounts because they ship the odd size inseams that most people don't want. They bank on most people not returning the shorts or not even being aware that different inseam sizes exist.
I have spoken to customer service for both companies (one in the same) about this issue, and they admit that they have received several complaints but continue on with their misrepresentations.
Maybe the Attorney General will get their attention.
