I ordered an amber Parson's Essential on Tuesday and received it in Canada by Friday that same week! Shipped within hours of ordering.

The pen itself is beautiful. I can't understand how it's priced as inexpensively as it is, but it's probably one of the absolute best values in fountain pens I've ever encountered.

The pen is very wet, but not excessively so. I got the medium italic nib and, while it's great, the cross-stroke wasn't as fine as I'd hoped so the italic effect (at least for cursive writing) was less than I'd expected. The real shock, however, is found in how smooth this pen writes. I've got a modest collection, but it includes a Montblanc 149 & Pelikan M800 - neither is as smooth as the Parson's Essential, which absolutely blows me away.

I'd whole-heartedly recommend both the pen and the company to anyone looking for an exceptional writing experience, great service and an unbelievable bargain.

After about 4 months or more, my Italix Parsons, (Essential), fountain pen had a few 'blobs' of ink on the converter which I noticed when refilling. I thought this was likely due to possible shaking, or I was positive I had not done so. I got in touch and explained, and without hesitation, they believed it was the converter at fault and immediately sent a replacement by first class post. So far so good. I would like to add that this pen is undoubtedly the smoothest fountain pen I have used in over 30 years.

I had a problem where PayPal had the wrong address. I emailed them and they fixed it up straight away. The pen arrived quickly. (I'm on the opposite side of the world.) It's a beautiful pen and only available from these guys. I'll be back.

I bought one of the Parson's Essential fountain pens, and so far I am delighted with it. It was dispatched very promptly. And it writes beautifully - far better than some pens three or four times its price!

I purchased an italix pen and had it shipped to US everything went flawlessly. The pen is not functioning perfect and they have offered for me to return just not worth it too me so more my fault than theirs.

I saw the advertisement in the 'Journal of the Writing Equipment Society' and ordered a 'Parson's Essential'. The pen arrived the next day and is as described. Everything about is solid quality.

After giving up the Lamy italic pens I'd bought elsewhere as a bad job, I found the Parson's Essential with italic nib so good that I bought a second. They really are excellent to write with. I had a problem with the double pen case I bought because the engraved tag wasn't the same as in the picture on the website but I was told to send it back for a refund. I usually judge a company by how good their service is when things go wrong so I'd recommend Mr Pens.

I ordered two pens, which arrived very quickly. Both had excellent italic nibs. One had a loose cap but the owner, responding immediately to my email, despatched replacement cap and barrel (which are perfect) and a return-paid envelope to send back the ones I had. A really excellent service, and excellent pens.

This firm provides lightning service. You cannot easily go wrong .

Bought my first pen, a Churchman's Prescriptor, through Amazon, after watching the Utube review and I particularly wanted a decent italic pen so I could begin to read my writing again.

I've now bought six, for myself and as gifts, all with different nibs to suit different requirements. All but one has been delivered next day (the lethargic one was still sub 48 hours) and every one has been an absolute gem to use: Substantial to hold but beautifully balanced, as smooth as butter to write with and always ready to work, even when left aside for a few days. They have made writing a pleasure in itself.

I have quite a number of fountain pens and without doubt these far out-class others in my collection (which includes the TWISBIs, Pilots and other brand leaders at this price)

The packaging and delivery from MrPen was absolutely perfect and very fast.
I am impressed by the quality of the pens. The fountain pens “churchman’s prescriptor” and “parson’s essential” are wonderful, well balanced and perfectly finished. Their nibs are very very smooth. They are in my top 3.

Mr Ford and his company, mrpen.co.uk, are a shining example of customer service. I ordered a pen, an Italix Parson's Essential (their own brand) which had a minor fault; a replacement part was with me less than 24 hours after contacting Mr Ford, along with a prepaid envelope for return of the faulty item.

The Italix pens themselves are of fantastic quality - much better than many pens that cost more than twice as much.

Pen is great, shipped quickly.
Website doesn't always work (didn't ask for credit card info on my first order).
Commuication non-existent. I emailed regarding the website order problem, no response. Third order I placed was accepted and shipped, but no shipping information provided, again the website not functioning properly. Two emails requesting shipping information ignored.
The pen is excellent but its quality is undermined by the lack of communication.

I ordered black Captain's Commission which arrived to Scandinavia in only a couple of days. The pen is not small nor light, but for me it's definitely a good thing. I got very good consultation concerning the nib. I'm left-handed and all italic nibs have been too scratchy for me. The cursive stub nib (medium) was a great choice. There is very little feedback and with this pen the writing experience is soft and pleasant. All in all, great pen and excellent service.
