Beautiful work and craftsmanship - I am so pleased with my new floors! I Aliber was brilliant to work with - really good at communicating and checking that I was happy. Would highly recommend.

Bobi and Valentin from Mr Sander in Aylesbury came over to sand and restore my very old floor boards (possibly 250 years old). They did an astonishing job. Completely transformed them, I can't believe how well they have turned out. I can't recommend them enough. Also lovely chaps who are incredibly polite and conscientious.

This was the second time we asked Aliber to sand a floor. He'd done a great job on our living room floor, but this was the hallway - it was very stained and worn from years of use. But it looks every bit as good as the living room. Both floors in fact look far better than when we first had them sanded when we moved in, over 20 years ago. Aliber is polite, friendly, punctual and very neat and tidy. We recommend him without hesitation.

Arben transformed the stairs to look very clean and fresh! He was friendly, considerate and tidy, and completed all the work with minimal disruption. Appreciated he went the extra mile to finish the stairs. Good customer service.

Kieran worked on our living & dining room floors, they look fantastic, he also gave us lots of good advice regarding maintenance of our new floors. We are hoping to have him back to do another job in a few months time. Kieran is knowledgeable in his job & a really nice person.

What a fantastic experience! I had the engineered wood floor in my new flat sanded and lacquered by Alberto, as the existing floor was very worn. Quote was arranged rapidly and Alberto then managed to fit my job in within a couple of weeks, before my furniture arrived, which was a fantastic help. He was exceptionally careful at the corners and edges so that I need to touch up only a couple of spots on the skirting boards. He explained how to wash and take care of the wood floor so that it lasts longer, when to get it sanded and lacquered again and even advised me how I could sand and re-oil my kitchen worktop myself. I’m delighted with the outcome and will certainly be going back to Mr Sander and Alberto when my floor needs attention again.

Alberto was excellent. From the first visit he was polite, thoughtful and knowledgeable. When it came to doing the work his communication about options and what would happen when was clear and allowed us to make decisions and carry on with life while the work went on. Alberto is skilled, diligent, trustworthy and likeable. We would absolutely recommend and plan to contact him for any similar future work.

Ivan was fantastic at his job, very knowledgable and experienced at laying herringbone flooring. Him and his partner Andre were very attentive to detail and completed the job in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend!!

While there was an administrative oversight with the initial appointment being booked I cannot fault Mr Sander, and in particular Lee Curd for the work that was undertaken with my floor. Having had downstairs redecorated I made a last minute decision to have the floor sanded and re-waxed/polished. While I had contacted some local companies none of them could commit to completing the job in time for the delivery of my new sofas, which were arriving in 2 weeks. Lee arrived and I explained the timeline I was working to, he said it would be tight but he could juggle a few jobs around to accommodate me. Lee started the work a few days later and by the end of the first morning the floor already looked 100% better than it had ever done since it was new almost 15 years ago. Even when I changed my mind about the polish finish Lee was accommodating and wanted me to be happy with the end product. In summary I was over the moon with the finished floor and Lee was extremely helpful and accommodating and clearly takes pride in his work. All in all I had a very positive experience.

French polisher is a magician. I needed a patch repair on my oak engineered floors - pretty much everyone said that this couldn't be done and that I'd need to get the whole floor refinished if it was possible at all. Josh is a magician and totally remedied the problem in half a day without any disruption at all, taking care to make sure it looked good from all angles. You'd never know that work was done unless you were actively looking for it, and it should get better as time goes by. Patch floor repair seems to be a service that is quite hard to find. It's not cheap as such, but once you factor in the costs of moving furniture, renting an airbnb for a night or two... it really is so much cheaper and less hassle. Obviously will recommend to others! Mr Sander were really good about being proactively in contact too.

Davey turned up within the half-hour slot he gave me and, throughout the 6-7 hours it took him to sand and varnish my kitchen floor, he was courteous and considerate. The floor looks excellent, with a new lease of life. Highly recommended!

The initial contact was good, I was updated carefully by the admin team.
On the day of the appointment, I was told that a different contractor would be coming. It was my understanding that the original person was in the install team, however the one who actually came was from the sanding division, so not ideal.

I booked a half day morning off work - my appointment was for between 10-12. At about 1230 I called the company to ask where the contractor was. The lady gave me his number, saying she would call and find out, and that I should too. I mistakenly assumed she would call first, and then call me back to let me know why the contractor was delayed but this didn't happen.
I then called him myself around 1300 to ask what was happening. Apparently, he had me in the 1330-1530 slot!
This was very frustrating as I work zero hours and depend on every hour of work, so I was unable to work the afternoon and lost half a day's wages.

The contractor was, to his credit, very apologetic, said it was his fault and came as quickly as he could, probably around 2pm.

In 1 minute, he already said the entire floor needing lifting and reinstalling, and was promoting sanding.
After my probing him, he offered other solutions, saying he was a sanding contractor, not a repair contractor. He left saying he would speak with the correct contractors for their opinion, and the company would email me back.

To date, I have heard nothing - the appt was 19 Aug and here we are 10 days later.

I have yet to find a company that actually offers solutions rather than the bog standard 'rip it all up, use our new flooring (nothing is damaged or broken) and pay us £££.'

Avoid this company unless you want sanding done.

2 stars because the admin lady was helpful and the second contractor was apologetic.

We were very nervous about using more tradesmen after a recent bad experience , however this was amazing from start to finish. Davey came to give us a quote and listened to how apprehensive we were, he arrived at the time agreed, his attention to detail was second to none a true perfectionist! He is polite and understanding and reassured me all the way through. The end result was better than we imagined it could be we are so happy with it. Thank you so much.
