Right now all multiplay servers in NL started having superbad connection. ONLY multiplay-servers.. Why? cant join others here, there are definetly some problems. Servers not playable :(

Ultra fast response. Stable servers.
I ran into a few snags with setting up my server, but the staff knows their stuff. They were quick to resolve the issues and get me up and running.

Swift support
The support tickets claim to resolve your issue within 6 hours, usually within 2 hours. My issue with my server was resolved in less than an hour and I was told exactly what the issue was and what they did to fix it.

Excellent
Very good servers, one crash on the first day, then perfect for 3 months

Excellent Support, told it be up to 6 hours but usually 2. Problem was fixed in 1. Great service all round.

Problem after problem, unhelpful support.
Problem after problem, avoid. Every fix magically needs you to "Buy another server" even though they advertise game switching on one server.
due to how their "system" works, only a few of the games on the list actually are viable for this, you have to buy more servers to be able to use the others.

Support team needs fixing
I was looking for a TS3 server, came to check multiplay and saw they were offered at a competitive price here. It wasn't all great though:
- After about 1-2 months, server group icons stopped working (wouldn't download), avatars stopped working(wouldn't show/download), and click selection kept flickering between two different people. After going back and forth with support for around two weeks, who were more clueless than me (linking me to random google search results of ts3 issues, giving wrong info etc) I almost gave up.
The ticket was taken over by Kevin Baker of the support team. I have to say, Kevin handled it very well and came to the TS3 (instant chat) to resolve it. More progress was made in that hour than the whole two weeks prior.
I asked Kevin about a message we were getting "the server is using an invalid licence" - I asked if we should be worried. He claimed that we shouldn't worry as this just something that needed to be cleared up with TS3 staff, but told me the licence is valid and the message should go in a few days.
Now today, we are seeing a message saying the server is blacklisted. I asked support, and get told some random rubbish that I should reset my server as the permissions could be wrong. I'm not even in support - but firstly, how do permissions have to do with a blacklisted server? Secondly, no permissions were changed and I can't just wipe the server when I have configured it so much.
Pros of multiplay
- Kevin Baker is good support, thank you for help
- Affordable TS3 servers
- Good uptime and low latency
Cons of multiplay
- Many issues seem to crop up with the servers
- Most of support have no clue what they're doing
Please fix your support system!!

Pretty good customer support
Pretty good customer support. Web UI could still use some work, decently effortless to get a server for our game (starbound) up and running. Would probably use again.

When I signed up
MH426573

When I signed up, the site asked me what location I wanted. Los Angeles was closest, so I chose it. The page said, "Oh, woops. That one's full. Pick another." So I chose Seattle. Again, full. So I chose San Jose. Finally. But at least it didn't let me start a server on a crowded location!
I finished sign-up, and waited. Got an email a few minutes later with login info for my shiny, new server. Logged in, and instead of a server, there was a message saying, "This location is full. Gonna need to wait on a hardware upgrade, mate."
No. So I opened a support ticket to have the server moved. I specifically asked for a location that wasn't crowded. A very nice man moved my server to Los Angeles. Yeah, the same Los Angeles that the site wouldn't let me choose due to overcrowding. But the server was up, at least. Fine. I play for a few hours and go to bed.
The next day, the server is down. "Weird." I look at the log, and it had died overnight. It tried to restart itself 3 times, couldn't manage it, and gave up. I started it and after about 10 minutes it appeared in-game. "Well that was awfully slow."
I play some more. After a few hours, the server starts lagging, hard. My ping would run up to about 50,000ms, then drop down to 30, and without missing a beat, run back up to the tens of thousands. I couldn't move my character.
So I checked the Knowledge Base. I used to be a phone tech and a server admin for ISPs and I know better than to be "that guy." I connected to several open servers in search of lag. Nothing. Back to my server. Lag. So it's not me. The knowledge base wanted me to run a sustained traceroute to the server while in-game for at least 20 minutes, and attach the log to a ticket. I gave it an hour, and attached the log to a new ticket.
The reply I got had me awfully confused. I know what a traceroute is, and I can read the log. The service rep said, "You're losing packets on your LAN. You on wifi or summat?" The log showed 61 packets lost out of 6,884 on my LAN. Around 0.8%. Even if you stacked those packets end-to-end such that the connection was dropping all at once, my ping wouldn't hit 50 seconds more than once, let alone repeatedly for several hours straight. On top of that, the rep evidently didn't look at the server. He didn't see the logs that showed it dying the night before, and he didn't see that the server resource monitor had giant gaps in it, where the server was presumably so choked that it couldn't keep track of its own CPU/memory usage. No...his whole response was, "Are you on wifi?"
So I replied to the ticket. Still not wanting to be "that guy" I sidestepped reminding the rep that 0.8% packet loss isn't noticeable and instead mentioned that a) a friend of mine from another state was on the server experiencing the same problem at the same time and b) the server wasn't even keeping track of itself, let alone the connection of anyone logged in.
He asked me if I wanted to move the server. I said, "Yes, San Jose." It was late at night and I went to bed.
The next day, I looked and he had said it would be done. It had been about 7 hours at this point. I open the server admin page, the server is down, and the most recent log entry says, from San Jose, "Failed to create server."
So I replied to the ticket again. "Hellooo...dead in the water, here." A third nice man said, "Oh, just give it an hour. It's still moving." No addressing of the error in the log, or the fact that I could have driven from Phoenix to LA and been half way to San Jose with my server on a thumb drive by this point. So I waited 3 hours (by which time I would have been IN San Jose). Nothing.
So I replied to the ticket again. "What gives this time?" "Oh, okay, I pressed the button that stops it from being broken now. I didn't press it before telling you to wait an hour, because reasons. But I started it now. All good???" I look. It's still in LA. On the same machine. I log in, same lag. But hey, at least the server is charting its resource usage again. I guess I can watch that instead of gaming.
No, I'm done. Keep the $8. A year ago, I played on a MultiPlay server someone else had opened and saw no problems. Something has changed. Nice enough people, but my god...look at the server before suggesting "WIFI THO?" or asking someone to wait for nothing to happen, only to then put the whole process back to square one.

Great Server Experience
I absolutely love the server that my friends and i are using. It has been running smoothly since day one. I was completely new to the entire process, but Multiplay made it easy and straightforward to get started. I even had a great experience when my server stopped (i forgot to make a payment) and i asked for help with a support ticket. They got back with me in surprising fast time. I emailed at night and was up and running 100% before noon the next day. I would recommend Multiplay to anybody who is even thinking about renting a server without any hesitation at all.

Amazing Support, Stable Service.
Great Company - Over the years I have hosted multiple servers with MultiPlay, none have ever had an issue that their support can't fix.
Their support are great people, they go to great lengths to ensure I either understand why my request can't be carried out on a technical level, or the problem is solved within 2 hours.

Ryan is Very professional
My experience was somewhat bad until Ryan "Zephen" Assis took over! He was very prompt, kind and courteous. I was very upset by the time Ryan was on my ticket and with his professionalism and knowledge he fixed the situation faster than I could make dinner! I was somewhat abrasive and he remained kind. That k you for helping me.

The only reason I would give this a 3 …
The only reason I would give this a 3 star rating is the server performance is lacking a little. The game shouldnt lag while trying to load buildings in. Also I get booted from my server regularly and I can't figure out why.
