new boiler and lagging

The workmen who installed the boiler were very friendly and worked non-stop until the work was complete. The boiler which was installed is very efficient and has made a difference to the warmth of our home, and for the use of warm water.I would recommend this to anyone who needs a new boiler and the people who fitted it. 100%.I would like to say the workmen who did the lagging worked really hard and were also friendly, 10 out of 10,and it has made a great difference to our home which keeps warm now. Very good service

Very good service. Even phoned me to say they would come early on one part of the job. Boiler was up and running in about 5 hours. That included old boiler removal and all the new pipework etc.
Very good team.

Glad I contacted them as I got a very good value quote too :)

Liars

Liars, give you an appointment time, don't bother turning up, then when you phone to find out what happened they say they were out on time, banging on your door, when you clearly know they weren't, wouldn't touch them with a bargepole!

Fusion Energy Ltd Install

Fusion Energy Ltd installed a new oil boiler at my property, my boiler was broken and parts were no longer available, had quoted from local companies in excess of £5,800.00.

Fusion managed to get me help towards the costs through a scheme which I wasn’t aware that I qualified. I paid £2,000.00 they handled all the paperwork and correspondence with the energy company whom helped towards the cost of my new boiler.

The whole team has been amazing, from the girls in the office to the installers.

Again massive thank you to Fusion Energy Ltd for helping me

Fusion energy awful service.

Fusion energy are by far the most poorly run company I have ever dealt with.
So my daughter pays the nearly £2500 for an oil boiler, 4 weeks goes by and she phones for expected installation date, she is told “someone will call you back” after nearly 3 months of this going on installation date was finally agreed, the boiler was fitted and old water tank taken out, the engineer insisted it was company policy to remove the old copper water heater from the property, probably worth £50 in scrap, I have been informed by someone working with this company that this is NOT COMPANY POLICY.
After various leaks in the loft the boiler keeps losing pressure, their engineer states in probably underneath the floor. After nearly 2 weeks she is still waiting for electrician to install the timer.
Customer service is not a word for this company, totally incompetent is more like.

This company installed two new combi boilers for us in the Summer of 2019 - both were fitted under the ECO3 scheme.
One was for my 90 year old mother and the other for ourselves.
The work proceeds in three stages - initial site assessment, installation & electrical fitting of thermostatic controls.
All work was carried out to high professional standards by diligent contractors.

Replacement Oil boiler

I had my oil boiler replaced via the government scheme. I can only give a positive review as I found the installation team very friendly and efficient and hard working, fitting my outside boiler in awful weather conditions. The difference it has made to the warmth of my house is unbelievable, so thanks very much

Avoid like the plague!!!

Sorry, this is going to be longwinded, but bear with me as this might save you weeks of bother.

We had Fusion out back in August to look at installing an oil boiler in conjunction with an energy grant to lower the cost to us.

The person came out while my wife was home and I was at work. My wife mentioned that sometimes the boiler can be a bit temperamental and go on lockout due to the oil gauge being unsealed and letting a little bit of water in, it's fine now, but was an issue for a while before it got sealed. The Fusion person pressured my wife to sign something saying that the boiler wasn't working - first warning sign. The second warning sign was that at the end of the appointment he tried to take payment without letting my wife even have a think about things. At this point no documentation was provided to show what we'd get for our money... no idea which model of boiler (we were told it would be a Firebird), if TRVs would be replaced etc etc. We've already got a Nest, but funnily enough the price didn't come down with them not having to replace the thermostat, make of that what you will!

At this point the ceaseless phone calls started, trying to get payment. In the meantime I spoke to the guy who usually services and repairs our boiler and was told that Firebirds oil boilers were absolutely terrible, and wouldn't last as long as our current elderly Worcester Bosch. So I called up and asked how much extra it would be to get a Worcester Bosch and they came back and said an extra £1000 which is frankly ridiculous. We agreed on a £700 premium on top of the Firebird after some back and forth and many calls from Fusion trying to get money out of me... So I got my credit card out and was charged in excess of £2000 and told someone would call me up next week to book our installation in. Next week came and I didn't get a call, so I called up only to be told that it was in pre-authorisation and I might hear next week. I waited another week or two before calling again, only to be told the same and be given no date when it might go through. At this point I asked Kelly if I could speak to a manager to feed back that the impression of what was going to happen and what happened were vastly different. At this point Kelly got defensive and stated that "Managers are not here to speak to customers, they're here to manage us" which I was amazed by to be honest. I let this go on for another week without any further information and then called Kelly up and asked for my money back. I was told this would happen and left it there.

2 weeks later I still don't have my money back. I called up today and spoke to someone else who gave a half hearted apology for me not getting my money back and who said that the money had now been refunded. I again asked to speak to a manager to give them some feedback on how to set realistic customer expectations, this person also parroted Kelly's line about managers and again refused to put me onto a manager.

It's amazing that they are unable to understand that if they had set realistic expectations in the first place that they wouldn't have lost my custom.

According to the people that put me in touch, apparently their installs are actually really good, maybe I'd have seen this for myself if their customer service hadn't been so dire. When I spoke to this company they asked "Did you speak to Kelly?" which is somewhat telling. There are 2 or 3 other references to Kelly in other reviews below, make of that what you will.

Fusion might reply half heartedly like they have done below, all they need to do is be honest with their customers and set realistic expectations.

Avoid them like the plague, go with a local air source heat pump installer, it might cost you more up front, but it'll pay for itself over time and you won't have to deal with this bunch of incompetent cowboys. Hopefully they've actually paid my money back... will let you know if this doesn't happen.

Daniel, we are sorry to hear about your experience and hope that you managed to find an alternative installation company that could be more accommodating in your circumstances. We have installed thousands of installations and to plan and schedule on such a scale means that we can not always accommodate customers as they wish. With regards to the payment being made on the first visit, this is normally taken in order for us to send for pre approval to a utility company who then provides the rest of the funding for the installation of the boiler. We cannot install any boiler until the job has come back from preapproval and this was explained to you on the various times to which you called the office. We have no control with the energy companies as to when they respond. Having looked at the survey which your wife has signed this explains what boiler is to be installed and that TRV's will be also be fitted at the installation so we cannot agree with your comment that you were not aware what was being installed.

The installation was delayed due to you deciding which boiler you wished to take up i.e. the Firebird or the Worcester, which delayed us in sending for pre-approval. Unfortunately there has been a back log. The lady who you spoke with this confirmed that last we received all the outstanding pre-approvals back and customers have now been booked in. However, you had already contacted the office and asked for your refund and you were therefore not contacted with regards to an installation.

No After Service if you have issues

Had this company install my boiler and new water system in May. Turned on the heating last month and had a problem. Because they replaced pipwork they have caused a few radiators not to work. Had an independent gas engineer out who pointed this out and said they should fix. I have rung 6 times and spoke to Kelly who never remembers me but I have never had a call back since. NO AFTERCARE!

The biggest con merchants going, lies, systems which don’t work, suspension of RHI, unreliable boiler, zero communication and 4 years of absolute pain.

I’m having it ripped out and replaced with Calor gas, please do not purchase anything from these cowboys👎
