Next package was drovw around without noticing me, only notification that rhe recepient is unavailable!! I think this company is a joke! Extremely disappointing experience with Hermes Germany.
Despite being at home and watching the courier from my balcony, I received a notification that my package had been delivered to a neighbor — which was not true. When I confronted the courier, he behaved unprofessionally, spoke in a language I couldn’t understand while on the phone, and refused to hand me the package, even after I proved I was the correct recipient.
The courier eventually took the package back without delivering it. I reported the issue immediately , but I’m still waiting for a resolution.
I no longer trust Hermes and will avoid this service for all future deliveries. Very disappointing.

I am very upset that the transport Company that Zalando uses in Germany is a company with extremely bad customer rating: Hermes.Zalando probably uses this company because it’s cheap! Horrible delivery experience – never received my order
I’ve been waiting for my package since 27.06, and it was supposed to be delivered to a Paketshop.
Three times, I received notifications saying “We could not deliver your parcel.”
Each time, I called customer service, and they told me the Paketshop was on holiday — but I personally checked, and the shop was open and operating normally.
The fourth time I called, they told me they had already returned the package to the sender!
This is completely unacceptable.
I wasted weeks waiting for nothing.
Horrible service — unreliable and frustrating. Never again.
Package lost and not feedback
I shipped a small parcel from Berlin to Milan on June 4th, 2025. Hermes tracking shows it was delivered on June 18th, but the recipient never received anything.
Since then, I've tried everything to get in touch with their customer service: none of the phone numbers work (or connect only to useless bots). No way to speak to a human. I've sent multiple emails, only receiving vague replies with no proof of delivery, no investigation, and no useful information. I also requested a refund, but so far (as of July 11th), I haven't received any answer at all.
Hermes has proven to be completely unreliable, especially when problems arise.
If something goes wrong, you're left alone with no support whatsoever. No real customer service, no delivery confirmation or proof, no refund or compensation, no accountability.

Hermes never used to not be so bad in Germany, but in the last 2 years the service has become extremely poor. I’ve ordered items for next day delivery and with Hermes, they come 2-3 days late. No apology. I suspect they are massively understaffed but the entire German arm of Hermes needs some new management - companies like Otto and Zalando also need to find new delivery partners.
Worst Experience
I’ve had a consistently poor experience with Hermes. Every time I use their service, they claim the address is incorrect — even though it’s the same verified address other couriers deliver to without any issue.
It is even difficult get real help. The support process feels robotic, with no clear or direct answers. Chat support seems automated, and you never really get a proper resolution. If a delivery fails, they just take the parcel back and make you wait another 1–2 days, without any option to fix the issue quickly.
Honestly, this level of service is unacceptable. I will avoid using Hermes in the future and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting reliable delivery.

I used Hermes 3 times. Success rate: 1/3. And I can't contact customer service, but that is normal in Germany, can't blame them!
Lost package ,or changed delivery date again.
Every time, there are lost packages—or like this time, when I was waiting for my package to be delivered on Friday. Then I get a message: “Sorry, your package is delayed until tomorrow.” The next day: “Sorry, we can’t deliver today. You will get it on Monday.”
What is it that these people don’t understand? When you order something, you usually check the lead time because you need the item by a specific date. That’s the whole reason you choose this particular website—otherwise, you would buy elsewhere with a better delivery promise.
So, Hermes, you can’t just keep changing the delivery date over and over because you don’t have time to deliver.

This company is so bad I ordered a phone from OTTO and I was tracking my phone and thought wow they’re really fast but guess what 1st excuse was they didn’t find my address i told them where it was with details and I thought in a day or so it’ll come but again no I am still waiting as I’m writing it’s been 9 days the customer support is awful no one helping just saying they can’t do anything I was surprised looking at the reviews here but happy knowing I’m not the only one suffering from hermes

A complete nightmare trying get my package. They take a long time to reply to emails. They finally replied after days and told me I need to create an account. Then I have to receive a TAN in the post. Then I can finally receive my package. Just completely ridiculous.
Honestly, Hermes is the worst delivery company I’ve dealt with.
They claimed my parcel was delivered, but it never arrived — and this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with them. Same story every time. Super unreliable.

I ordered a substantial amount of clothing from Next.de that Hermes were to deliver. Somewhere along the way my order was out into a different unmarked package, and I only received 1 item out of 15. I assume this is because they had to show delivery of something! I have now raised disputes with Next and Hermes and despite Hermes having a thief somewhere in their company I am the one that has to pay for items I never received. I will never order from any company that uses Hermes as the courier again - absolute disgrace and joke!!
After 5 years with Hermes
For the last 5 years, I had to deal with Hermes many times... when I say I had to, it's because the shop wouldn't suggest another means of delivery. Hermes delivery system was never the best: a lack of precise delivery estimation date, a lack of live updates, I rarely got to see the delivery men because they would just throw the package and leave very fast.
But the last months, it has been worse ! I got the notification "we couldn't reach you" many times, when actually the delivery men never came, never ringed on us, and never showed up.
This happened many times in the last weeks and I am very upset. Last package just got stuck for many days before the "2nd delivery attempt" which is completely unexplainable. This made me miss my package, I was not able to pick it up on-time.
Plus, hermes customer service is the worst... whatever I write in my emails, i just get general replies... nothing specific, tackling my issue, which makes me think they are automatic emails or copy&paste templates.

I ordered an item that was supposed to arrive in 2–3 days. Unfortunately, the package sat in a warehouse for two days, which meant I didn’t receive it in time for my holiday.
When I saw that the delivery wouldn’t make it before I left, I requested that the package be delivered to a nearby shop close to my home. However, after returning from vacation, I found out that it wasn’t delivered to the requested location — in fact, it wasn’t even delivered to the same city I live in.
This experience was very disappointing, and I hope this delivery service won’t be used for my future orders.

No Support Even After Providing Signed Letter
I never received my package, and I sent a signed declaration letter twice as requested. Still, Hermes closed my case without resolving anything or taking responsibility.
Very poor customer service – they simply ignore the facts and leave the customer without support. Totally unacceptable.

100% failure right on delivering my parcels ordered through Amazon cost costing me money 
so apparently you people are responsible for losing a couple of my parcels ordered through Amazon because they use you as a delivery service. Sadly, I have never raised you as a delivery company and now I've lost money because you have failed to deliver my parcels to the correct address and yet claiming they had been delivered showing no evidence. 
therefore, I am now financially out of pocket and I'm losing at work as a locksmith because you have failed to deliver my parcels.
