CAUTION when buying from MyPilotStore
I ordered a bag from this online store on 1/26/26. I always read the return policy on everything I buy online. I don’t like surprises.
Their “return rules” were like other websites. I knew that I would keep the box and have to mail it back on my dime, and all tags on, etc, So the 15% restocking fee wouldn’t pertain to me.
My bag was $79.95. I took it out of their shipping box and it was HUGE!
I followed the return instructions and emailed them to get a return authorization number. It arrived in my email a couple of days later with instructions on where to send it.
They said you wud get ur refund within 10 business days after it was received.
I got my refund 2/25 but the credit was only for $65 and NOT the $79.95 I paid.
I just got off the phone with their customer service, which I have no issues with by the way. Very nice and polite. After he checked, he told me that I had to pay $14.95 for shipping. I told him I DID pay $14.95 for my shipping. He agreed then said no, you have to pay for the shipping getting it TO you.
I told him their return policy should have stated that and that I read it and the 15% restocking didn’t apply to me. I asked where it was in the refund policy and that I never saw that and he said he wasn’t sure but he would let someone know so they can correct it. Well, it appears they do it on purpose.
So I looked again after the call and there was no mention of it. There were a few pages to list all their requirements, which I met, and below the return policy was a very long comprehensive list of the items in categories and what those requirements were. There were 15 categories with details but a TravelPro case wasn’t listed. I had looked at them and knew they didn’t pertain to me. There was no mention about TravelPro. After the phone call I looked again and didn’t see anything stating what he told me.
After scrolling down pages and pages on my phone, there was a paragraph BELOW the 15 items stating something about outbound shipping charges to me would be charged. It was under Calculating your Refund.
I will never buy from this company and I work for an airline.I will tell anyone about their “hidden and buried way down below the return rules” policy. I’m sure they put it that far down on purpose so they can “steal” their trusting customers money. If this wasn’t the case, then they should list it under return policy and not Calculating Your Refund, more than 1/2 way down.
I would think twice about buying from the Company and I will make sure my flying colleagues and my passenger’s will order elsewhere.

I even had to get off the phone with my daughter yesterday because Silas wanted her to say "bye Grandma" so she could read the book to him again! I also got him the pilot's cap which is adorable.
