After receiving a response from this company, I feel it’s important to clarify that my experience is not unique. Anyone considering ordering from this company should read the one-star reviews carefully, because they all tell the same story.
Customers consistently report:
• Items that were never received
• Returns that were never refunded
• High-dollar items — including $1,000+ flight jackets and Bose headsets — where customers were left without the product or their money
• Claims that replacement items were “shipped” with no tracking or proof ever provided
In my case, nearly a month after placing my order, I am still being given excuses. It does not take weeks to ship an item or process a return. What does take time, apparently, is making excuses instead of doing the right thing and fulfilling an obligation after payment has already been taken.
This company repeatedly stated that items were shipped when they clearly were not. Telling a customer something has shipped — without tracking, proof, or delivery — is misleading and unacceptable.
At this point, I consider the money I lost a small price to pay for what I learned from this experience and for seeing who this company really is. I’m honestly glad I didn’t spend more money on a higher-priced item, because based on the reviews, many customers have lost far more.
When you see the same complaints over and over again, that is not coincidence. Where there is smoke, there is fire. The one-star reviews reflect the real customer experience. The volume of five-star reviews does not align with those experiences and appears questionable at best.
This is aviation — an industry built on trust and integrity. Unfortunately, this company has demonstrated neither. Buyers should stay away. Based on my experience and the consistent reports of others, this operation appears to function like a scam, and I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Unbelievably poor customer service.
I ordered two sectionals and two terminal area charts with a subscription. When the envelop arrived, the charts were missing. I attempted to call on Friday night and they were closed until Monday morning. I wrote to the company at that time. I then opened a claim with the Post Office. MyPilotStore wrote to me on Monday morning. They said they needed pictures of the envelop to file a claim with USPS. I immediately sent pictures. They said that IF their claim was approved they would send the charts or refund my money. Today they called to tell me that I needed to take the envelop to the local Post Office. I immediately took the envelop to the Post Office, where I was told that they couldn't do anything with the envelop, another wasted hour. I cannot believe that a company expects me to do the running around for them and won't send replacement charts until their claim is approved. The envelop they sent the charts in was closed with a weak adhesive that was only partially closed when I received it.

Extremely Poor Customer Service
My complaint here isn't necessarily about the policies at MyPilotStore, but more about the customer service I received.
I ordered a headset adapter in September, used my default shipping address, and it got to my house with no problem. I ordered another one this December and somehow didn't notice that the system somehow defaulted to an old address. I noticed this when I got the email from them that they were preparing to ship the adapter.
I immediately contacted them, and they said that they couldn't change the address with USPS. I emailed back saying that "it shows that USPS doesn't even have possession of the package yet, is there any way it can be stopped, and if not, how did this happen? How did my old address become the default? I know it's on me to double check, 100%. But why would my new address be the default once and then a few months later switch back to the old address? Just trying to figure out how this happened."
I received a call from a rep named Ethan. His attitude was demeaning and arrogant. There was no "I'm sorry that this happened, let me see what we can do." It was "this is 100% your fault and we won't help you, too bad." Just generally poor customer service.
The icing on the cake was when I told him that I was going to try to reach out and have the people at that address do a return-to-sender, he said that they would incur a bill for that and charge it back to me, and that I should try to get in touch with them to pick it up since it was in the same city. I told him that this was likely not an option, and he snickered and said something like well that's your problem.
Overall, I get it. My bad for not double checking. But has customer service really become this? Consumers do not owe it to any company to give them patronage. The same adapters that I need are available elsewhere, at a lower price, and I'll be going there from now on.
