Hello again, I wrote the review about a backwards tyre, missed tyre damage and overfilled air in tyres. This was all in one visit, however, I had just before taken my car to get its brakes done before that appointment. I recently took my car to a different garage (as everyone should!) to be told that this garage had in fact fitted the wrong size inner pad that does not fit the disc. I am getting proof and receipts shortly so both National and Halfords will be hearing from me to get my money back!! This happened 30/09/2022

Tyre replaced quickly
Tyre replaced quickly, however, the attention to finishing was disappointing.
The temporary spare wheel was just thrown in the boot and not secured, neither were the jack and tool kit replaced. Lastly, the replaced tyre, was left with all the fixing lubricant smeared over the tyre walls. It didn't make me feel that they cared much!

Needed a tyre quickly after getting a puncture and I was going on a long drive the following morning. National had my tyre size in stock and I was able to purchase and book a fitting time online unlike most other companies who operate a first come first served system. The staff member at the reception was very helpful and friendly and the tyre replacement carried out quickly. 10/10 for customer service and will use National again.

Free Repair \ Expensive Tyres
I had an appointment to have a puncture fixed. When I turned up, all but 1 of the staff were outside smoking which I find a bit off-putting. As I had an appointment I motioned to ask if could go into the empty workshop but I was directed to park outside as, as I subsequently found out, they have to photograph my car before it can enter.
One puncture was repaired and I was quoted for a new front tyre due to the fact that a screw was too near the edge to repair. What annoyed me is that the quote was extremely expensive and, even though they acknowledged that they need replacing in pairs, was for only one tyre at an eye-watering £310. Even when I asked about a discount there was no mention of the well-advertised discount for 2 Pirellis which is what I needed.
Needless to say, I went to a nearby company who managed to be cheaper by £90 per tyre without even trying,
My car has black wheels so I was disappointed to find white sealant(?) all over the wheels and tyre with no attempt to clean it up. Perhaps this was because the repair was free with my Blue Light Card and a paying customer might have had the wheels cleaned?!
Staff were helpful and cheerful and my puncture repair is holding (the other garage said the screw's position was 'borderline' and repaired it for me without fuss).

Poor organisation still no tyre…
Initial booking was fine. However the date/time originally booked would not work and i should no have been allowed to book this time and date online which was a main factor for me booking here. The morning of my original booking I called ahead thankfully and got told by the garage that they did not have my tyre and would not be able to change my tyre that day, which accidents happens and I suspected this may have been the case due to bank holidays. However after talking to the garage he said he would get the tyre in and call me asap to change my tyre (which has a bulge). Fast forward another day I get a call late in the evening telling me the tyre has still not even been ordered in and now they have lost my order and cant see payment being made or what tyre I have even ordered. The £176 had been debited two days prior, so I am now no further forwards and on my 3rd booking reference and the tyre only just been ordered in.
Overall very poor disorganised process. The first person I spoke to was apologetic and initial error wasn’t his fault just a booking system problem. The second call was a shock and very poor and handled badly. All in all I would just like my tyre changed. I would not come back as I have already changed my plans twice and been let down both times with poor communication and organisation.
