Did my research online regarding price etc, chose Halfords auto centre (national tyres) as my chosen retailer.
Arrived for my appointment and car was taken and and work commenced.
My car has painted wheels and body kit so I was a little nervous that there maybe damage while jacking it up due to the body kit restricting trolly jack entry and also the possibility that when changing tyres that the tyre machine may damage my painted alloy wheels.
Ultimately the staff understood my concerns and actually moved my car to an MOT bay so that they could lift the vehicle from underneath bypassing the body kit.
All 4 tyres were changed without issue aswell as TPMS service, front wheel alignment and I also purchased the halfords tyre warranty for each new tyre for piece of mind.
All in all I was very impressed with the price and overall service so highly recommend there tyre services.
It has been brought to my attention whilst waiting for my mot that a lovely young lady behind the desk Sonia was very person centred with all costumers who came through the door . Her approach with customers goes above and beyond , she was more than helpful and tried her very best to run the reception area , greet costumers, answer the phone , take bookings and liase with external business .
Is the first time I come here after about 5 years and I'm impressed. Lovely staff. Professional, polite and helpful. I wish I would meet this kind of people everywhere I go. 10 🌟
I recently visited National Tyres Luton for an MOT of my Q7, and I was impressed by their prompt service and outstanding customer care. The MOT retest was booked promptly, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. Sonia and Khabel, in particular, were brilliant, providing exceptional assistance throughout the process. I highly recommend their services for anyone seeking quality and reliability!
I swore by this branch a few years ago, as the service was excellent when it came to tyres. However, when I took my wife's Mini there for an interim service a couple of years ago, I had a call from them saying that the battery was below par(which I knew anyway), and that it needed a replacement stop-start battery, at a cost of £200+. This was completely wrong, as the car doesn't even have a stop start system, so I politely declined. I was passing yesterday, so popped in out of curiosity, to obtain a quote for replacing the lower suspension arms on my car, which was £500+. Quality replacement parts can be obtained by Joe public for around £100, so I'm wondering what their hourly labour rate is, to justify that cost. I won't use them again, as quite frankly, I was insulted by the quote that I received, and god knows how many people just accept what they say, rather than get a 2nd opinion. I've also had the same experience as others, with regard to online bookings, where I've requested a certain time, only to be asked if I didn't mind leaving the car for the day, as they're behind. Probably not the fault of the staff, but not ideal if you have a schedule to adhere to.
Could not fault the professional service I received. The puncture I had could not be repaired due to its location and the team were very good at sourcing a replacement tyre the same day. Fitting was done to my total satisfaction. My preference source of tyre service.

One of the worst places to take your car to get anything done! This is a nightmare of a place where they will try and fob off vulnerable women. My wife had today on the 19/03/2024 taken in her car to get her MOT done. She had booked this through the Halfords website as she is a premium member with them and this was the earliest place to get it done. When she told me I did have my reservations as have I've heard loads of negative things about this particular branch. We had taken the car at the weekend to our local garage to get her boot fixed as this would not open from the outside and we knew that this had to get done prior to the car being MOT'd otherwise it could fail. She then took it down there this afternoon as booked and was told it would take an hour to get the car checked. She then went away to do some shopping and on her return after an hour she was told that the car had failed the MOT due to a huge crack in the front windscreen. To my wife's shock when she had seen the car she could not believe that there was a huge crack going all the way across the front windscreen that was not there when she had dropped the vehicle off just an hour before. To her disgust the staff then implied that the crack on the windscreen was there when she taken it in! She could not believe what she was hearing. Firstly they had damaged her car whilst on their premises and under their care and secondly they were accusing her of lying and saying the crack was already there when she dropped it off. She felt so intimidated and in fear that she had called me whilst I was at work. I then asked to speak to the manager who introduced himself as Matt, he got on the phone and explained that he had told my wife that he was willing to resolve the matter and asked her to get this repaired on her insurance and then to invoice them the amount to pay her back. The bloody cheek of them as why should she make a claim on her insurance for her premium then to go up the following year. When I told them that she would not be doing that and for them to use their own liability insurance to get this resolved he then advised that we would need to leave the car for a few days with them. Told them that would be fine but we would need a rental car if anything more than 2 days as my wife drives to work and also has to do the school run. He then advised me that he would need to speak to someone and call me back. My wife then called back in 15 mins in tears saying that they have said that they would not be doing anything to repair the damage and that she needs to remove her vehicle from their premises s they would not be taking any responsibility for the damage. The so called manager was having a full blown argument with her saying that she could stand there all day if she wants but they would be closing up at 6 and she would be locked in. She asked for them to log a complaint and he said that she would need to call customer services to log one as they didn't have a process to do this in branch. How shocking and disgraceful for a huge organisation like National Tyres who are a part of Halfords not to log a complaint when requested to do so. My wife had no choice but to abandon her car there as it was not safe to drive and then call a friend to pick my daughter up from school and then get a taxi back home herself as I was working away. When she then rang up Halfords they could not believe the so called manager at this branch had told her she would need to call them to log a complaint and was advised that this should have been logged in branch at first instance. The complaint handler had then gotten in touch with the Luton branch in question and requested an image taken when they took the vehicle in and this confirmed that there was no crack or damage on the screen as my wife had so adamantly stated to the staff and manager at this branch. We are still awaiting an outcome and resolution to our issue. However, I want all women to be very careful when visiting this particular branch and would strongly recommend they don't as it is very evident the staff and manager here are willing to bully and scare women and try to fob them off and make them out to be stupid and dishonest. Please do not visit unless you want to be left in tears like my wife was. This is a company who will damage your car instead of fixing it and then blame you for their own fault and rubbish workmanship. NEVER AGAIN! Booking reference is A465B017161.

A lovely and very professional team of Andrew and Owen at Luton Branch. I booked tyres online and discount was given too. They were polite, explained how it will work and how long it will take.

Whole process very easy and straightforward…no problems at all.
Easy to buy tyres and to arrange fitting online at a time suitable to all. Very pleased to have the fitting carried out by staff at my local National who have looked after my vehicle for many years.
