Booked with National Intensive Driving School for my stepdaughter’s birthday and the whole experience was excellent. The course was very informative and helpful whenever needed. She passed her theory test almost immediately thanks to the prompt information and support they provided to help her prepare and pass.
They also managed to secure a practical test within a reasonable timeframe, which I know was largely beyond their control due to test availability. Overall, we’re really happy with the outcome and the service received.
Definitely recommend!
Paul (my instructor) was brilliant reassuring and great at explaining everything, great instructor and I highly recommend him!

BASED ON EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO BOOKING (cannot comment yet on lessons as have not had any): Yad was polite, efficient and helpful answering my pre-booking enquiries over the phone.

Having done some lessons beforehand in a manual car I couldn’t recommend a better instructor! Samina was amazing and very reassuring, if it wasn’t for her professionalism, simple and clear ways of teaching I wouldn’t have passed, she made sure I understood everything from how to use the window wipers to parallel parking and using roundabouts.
Amazing instructor!

I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Kevan. From the very first lesson, he made me feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed behind the wheel. He’s incredibly patient, professional, and explains everything clearly, which really helped build my confidence each lesson.
Kevan always made the lessons enjoyable while still focusing on improving my driving skills and preparing me properly for real-life driving situations. His calm approach and encouragement helped me overcome nerves and become a much safer and more confident driver.
I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and would highly recommend Kevan to anyone looking to learn to drive. Thank you for all your support and guidance — 5 stars all the way!

Horrendous service. We paid over 2k only for my daughter to fail and when asking about a retest and further lessons they didnt even get in touch and complaing to head office had zero effect, despite being willing to pay for more lessons (the cost was equivilent to £54 per hour for lessons). The instructor was often late and cancelling at last minute. They made us meet them 8 miles away and only due to parental intervention would they then pick up from home after 50% of lessons. The instructor was busy on her phone during lessons and gave very little feedback or guidance. The initial schedule until parental intervention meant that my child would have been 1 month without lessons before taking her test - totally unacceptable. I cannot recommend this company at all. My daughter now has her retest in a week and we cannot book lessons or use the car which she learnt to drive in. The company"s response has been that they delivered the lessons bought and thats all they had to do (no accounting for the time lost due to lateness). Never met such an unprofessional organisation. Sareesh was the instructor. I have messages directly 4 times and not even the courtesy of a response! Utterly horrendous and left my daughter distraught. Do not use this company.
***edit -thanks for response try ringing me as ive already responsed to your requesr via trustpilot for my phone number and nobody has rung. Your response seems convenient! This is the last person ive emailed -

Having paid £2578 in for our sons 40 hour “semi intensive” driving course in June 2025 under reference #256441274. According to the confirmation email from National Intensive the course was to last 3 – 8 weeks leading up to his test.
He was a nervous driver having had a bad experience with previous instructor which was flagged with National intensive and why a 40 hour course was booked.
National Intensive have confirmed that between 13th July and 9th October 17 hours of lessons were delivered.
The test was booked for the 20th March.
A further 2 hour lesson took place on 17th December and the final two hours was on the 12th February. So in the six months from early October leading up to the test at the end of March, 4 hours of lessons were provided.
There was an offer of a 6 hour lesson on the 17th March which would have had to after after a shift at work that started a 6am and three days before the test. Our son said, quite reasonably, that he wasn’t feeling confident about taking a test in three days time as he hadn’t had enough lessons in the previous six months, hadn’t done the test routes and still didn’t know if the instructor was going to show up on the test day as he had said he wouldn’t know until the day before.
National Intensive are now claiming that represented a cancellation by the student and say that they have no responsibility for the lack of confidence which is clearly a direct result of the lack of lessons. In the instructors email response to our complaint he has said “I feel like he had already decided he don’t want to do the test and try to crawl out of it. he cannot, because I pulled out every stop to make this work… the refusal was his”. He wanted to do the test, had paid for the full lessons and to suggest he wanted to “crawl out of it” is offensive and two, 2-hour lessons in six months does not strike me as pulling out all the stops. Just the opposite.
We have registered a Formal complaint ref #256441274 with National Intensive but as with many of the one star reviews here we are getting no where and they are claiming that any problem should be taken up with the instructor and we are not entitled to any refund. We are awaiting his details so we can pursue it through Money Claims Online.
We have paid for a 40 hour course and received 25 hours of tuition only 4 of which were in the six months leading up to his test.
National Intensive state in their latest email to me that “After reviewing the full situation, we do not agree that Adiel has done anything wrong.” It is clear that they think this level of service is acceptable and on that basis alone I would advise people not to use them.
EDIT Following response
There is no dispute from National Intensive about the facts laid out in my review. 25 of the 40 hours were delivered with only 2 lessons in the six months leading up to the test. That a six hour lesson was offered on a day that had it been stated was unacceptable due to work commitments. National Intensive say in their response to my review that they think this is acceptable behaviour and will not offer a refund for lessons that were not only not delivered but not offered. The simple fact that they feel this is acceptable should, on its own, put any potential customer off. 20% of reviews are one star and in my opinion that represents a significant risk when spending this kind of money for a service that is not delivered satisfactorily once in every five times at best especially when it seems many of the five star reviews relate to interactions on the phone.
